[quote='pauldb','https://linuxsat-support.com/index.php?thread/&postID=250938#post250938']ok do us a favour turn saorview off and see how the epg is, i think its the epgdata from that that causes the problem

as for the picture top right, you say you loaded your own sly skin, yours or someone elses ? i suspect theres a render missing or the .py file is taking over first from the .pyo file that you tried to replace so the .py will need to be deleted, but without knowing what you loaded it would be hard to tell exactly

also try another skin see if the picture comes up

thanks for that. yes its not my sly skin one that was downloaded but only gets the white with this new atv 4.2. I will try another one see how that goes. sometimes the box is very slow when it comes out of standby and if you re boot everything seems to come back. im wondering is it a cache issue.

no havent re booted box yet as the latest image is the most stable i have ever had. i tweaked a lot of things myself. no timeshift as i removed that plugin as it was causing issues. picons are on the hdd but the drive is always on even if the box is in standby and i wanted to see if that was normal. should the hdd not go into standby itself.

Hi All I have an amiko alien triple running champion c open atv 4.2. only issue i have is the HDD wont go to standby. its on all the time. I have tried setting the Storage device settings to different modes. 2 mins 5 mins 10 mins but the HDD always remains on. Also i enable the hard drive timer function and disable but the HDD remains on. is there any other way to tell the drive to go to standby when its not in use.

no it will not boot. i think its a HDD standby issue.

if the box sits for a while say overnight and used next night when im home the box shows the time and date but if you go to press red to turn on nothing happens. a full reboot from the switch at the back is the only thing to bring the box back. Im wondering if its a HDD timer issue. I changed the setting to sleep the hDD after 10 mins. maybe this is the issue

    Hi All

Im running champions open ATV 4.2 on an amiko alien triple plus which is great only one issue. the box when not used for a while wont come out of standby. is this the way the HDD is set up to go to standby. if I turn standby off the box seems ok but the HDD remains on all the time.

    HI Champion c

all working well still with the image well after a week. Only some small niggles. On the epg it takes a long time to open. when it did open the text was hard to read but I changed the number of rows and removed graphics from the menu. when you are on epg there is now picture in the top right of the screen. its just white. the other issue is there is no saorview menu there. while that was no hassle i just created a new folder called saorview and added them in there. changed the reboot channel. its still running my own sly skin with no issues. cache flush is always around the 20 - 26 % when cleared.

thanks for that. I know the cross epg loaded to the hdd and the xml tv importer goes there aswell. But when in that plugin i cant find a place to send the cross epg to. the plugin is xmltvimporter. i will change the swap file to the stick and mount that and see if i can change the path for the xml importer to there instead of the hdd. would i be better to re flash and again the plugins and re use cross epg as on that i could select the smaller usb for the cross epg

Hello all I have an amiko alien triple tuner running the open atv image from October. All goes well for around a week or two and then the box starts to slow down and become unresponsive. A reboot doesn't work and cache flush is installed and running. There is a hdd connected in ext 3 mounted with a swap file. The only way to resolve this is to re flash the box. The cross epg was causing issues so I un installed it and use xmltv importer which works fine. Does anyone have any suggestions why the box is running slow. Could it be cache or ram issues
