Need to say an normous thank u to ppdon who resolved my problem via teamviewer. He spent a good bit of time trying to sort out problem with both oscam & cccam.
Hes a credit to the forum and as a gesture of goodwill i have made a donation to the forum.
Thanks again m8, :78:
Tried that and still no joy m8
Think i mite request teamviewer help on this 1 as dont even know if its all set up correctly
I have a static IP for the server and a dyndns alias attached... opened port 14500 which is definetely open.
Ive only ever had a server set up on a dreambox but really wantd to try this out and purchased an old PC for this purpose. When i open CS studio it shows no activity on this server yet the dreambox currently running is showing up no probs.. U have been very helpful ppdon, would u be onterested in looking at the set up via teamviewer m8 or i can send an admin request?
Thanaks again for your patience

My CFG file in CC cam has this and 1 example test c line, so it as follows
N: 127.0.0.1 15001 username pass 01 02 03 04 05 06 07 08 09 10 11 12 13 14 25
F: line1 test1 000{0:0:1}
Hope this makes sense
Did u remove this from your cccam.cfg???
SERIAL READER : /dev/ttyUSB0 smartreader+
No need to open any ports for oscam.
Restart server.
Sorry m8 im deffo missing something here i reckon.. all thats in my cfg is
N: 127.0.0.1 15001 username pass 01 02 03 04 05 06 07 08 09 10 11 12 13 14 25
and an fline
so
SERIAL READER : /dev/ttyUSB0 smartreader+ is not there
thanks
OK ive done all that m8 and appear to be at last getting somewhere... i still cant get channels to open mind u.
After doing all that i logged into oscam... but this appears to keep updating every second.. it says the following and continually repeats.... ive hidden the rest of my IP obviously

So i go into oscam and see that it looks like its trying to work.. do i need to have anything else in my CCcam CFG file other than my f lines?
Sorry for being a thicko here

That worked on my debian 6 but the card( SCT V4 ) kept disconnecting so i switched to oscam and now very stable....
I used this tutorial..
http://linuxsat-support.com/li…l-package-debian-6-a.html
In your oscam server file smargo device would look like this,
Protocol = smartreader
device = 002:003
They are mine for example u would have to find your correct usb port( smargo ) device number, i'm using 2 smargos in my debian 6.
Thanks for reply m8.
Thats the very tut i followed and managed to do everything there includinh using CS studio and can see CFG files, Problem im having is getting the SMARGO to show up.
Are there drivers i also need to install 1st?
I already updated SMARGO previously. When i type in lsusb in the console it only shows my optical mouse thats connected
Tried following TBs tut here
http://linuxsat-support.com/li…l-smargo-smartreader.html
but at stage 3 i dont get anything like those readings he has after typing dmesg
Think im losing the plot
Total newbie here so go easy please :pudency:
Ive just managed to instal Debian 6 on an old PC to use as a server
Ive just been using an old DM500 and had no probs with that but decided to give this a go
So managed to instal Debian ok along with CCcam. Problem now is that i dont know how to get SMARGO working, or is there even a string of code i could put in to see if it works?
Also how would my CFG file look, just the same as the 1 on my 500?
i seen this on another thread but unsure if it would work for me, it did say Gamma card tho
SERIAL READER : /dev/ttyUSB0 smartreader+

I would be using a s"y card but as dont want my peers gettin disconnected just now, i have an al jazeera card here to try out 1st on my motorised set up and will put a cfg on DM800se
Thanks in advance
Anyone help please?
