My CM is fibreglass and the top and bottom bearing supports are a bit loose, so when the dish is pushed West or East there is about 25-30mm movement at the lnb. I also use the 1224 for about 10 years now and a couple of times I noticed side play,
now if you take off the top cover you'll see two red bolts and if you tighten these with
an Allen key it takes out the side play.

I would use them quite often as well,very useful.
