I must say that I'm impressed :)

VUs 4k 6.5 rebuilt, perhaps there is a chance that they work again :)
-
OK, dm9x0 drama solved (I really hope), at least if 6.5 image is in the main flash. Sorry, no time to test what happens with BA or other multiboot stuff. CI+ seems ok as well. Soon in the DL area.
-
Well, I **think** they are basically the same boxes. You can't do any damage by inserting mSD card.
-
Great, it was really a team effort :)

Just an update; for new DMM mipsels and arms (520/820...900/920) there is some drama. Hopefully that could be resolved when we get a grasp on some of these boxes.
Good news, gigas 4K (quad4k, ue4k), web is ok and fixed. All the other boxes which we do have some feedback (Vus, Zgemmas, Edisons 4K, SF8008/Viper4K, Dinobots, etc) seem to work rather well.
Unknown: We have somewhat conflicting reports on CI+ handling. Some say that on v 6.3 CI+ works ok but not on 6.5. We would really appreciate some confirmation about this, well, possible, drama :)
BIG thanks again to everybody who had good will, time and nerves to test 6.5 version.
So many things have changed under the hood/bonnet, that any input is more than welcome.

thx! fixed. Actually it would work if you install some *-fnc plugin, but yup, this is a bug

Osmini4k has only one (and pretty good one) DVB-S2X tuner, Osmio4k has an additional DVB-T2/C tuner and pretty good wifi (5GHz + 2.4GHz, AP mode) + 1 GB RAM more, Osmio4Kplus has an additional DVB-S2X tuner and a better front end display. I hope that I haven't missed anything:)
-
Thx, but actually it seems to me that Dinobots (models that have it) do have a pretty decent Android. OK, do not use it at all, but ... :)
-
I ** think** mini does not have HW support for multstream, so...
-
sf8008 and osmio4k do update drivers frequently. Then again, if you need Android dual boot, if you need this and that.... It is really ungrateful task to recommend a box in blind mode :)
-
At the moment, I would not play with v6.4, new stuff is on the way and 6.4 is not up to date. Perhaps better to stick with 6.3.

Glad to hear that 800se works, still a nice box. Ok, if I got it right, the problem is that **until** crypted ch is **opened**, there is still previous, frozen image ?
Well, I hope that is not too dramatic:) I'm a bit lazy to unpack 800se and check it out, but from what I do recall, the box does NOT have zap mode option in the drivers (might be wrong as my memory is not that great) and to implement in SW an extra screen blanking seems like a bit too much for sort of non-crucial problem :)
Will check it out when the box is connected. -
Well, I would not be so dramatic:) Various people, various needs. Let them live :)

This a great little box, 4k streams work ok, which is a rare thing on Broadcom boxes (only 3 at the moment and two of these are Edision). About RC, uhh, yes, it is a personal/subjective thing, but there are worse :)
-
At the moment, until the drivers are updated (and it is not only Zgemma, but Broadcom thingy/issue), 4K streams on H7 are off the table.
-
Btw, there is no such a problem as "high consumption of RAM". Linux kernel (especially on this box - 5.4) is clever enough to optimize RAM usage.
I would be more worried if the reports said that there is 60% of RAM free :) -
Some 4k streams work only on HiSil Chipsets, Osmio4k(plus) and Duo4k. Maybe A5, did not check recently. Yes, it is the drivers issue/codec support.
-
Actually, there is even newer one, but no need to reflash, a simple SW update should be ok.
