    the following works for me!

Oscam Server with Smargo connected reading card

with these settings in Oscam.server file

    group = 1
    emmcache = 1,3,2
    blockemm-unknown = 1
    blockemm-g = 1
    saveemm-u = 1
    saveemm-s = 1

I then create a account in Oscam with au set to ***uk

I connect Duo using that account and newcamd

Leave over night and as like mine your entitlements should be 01/03/2013

    Simples!

Newcamd.list and mg.cfg should be in var/keys as suggested

Box Type should be changed as follows

    # box type
    # 00 autodetect, change only if you think wrong type detected.
    # 01 dbox2
    # 02 dreambox
    # 03 triple-dragon
    # 04 relook
    # 05 openbox
    # 06 dreambox/mips
    # 08 stapi/kathrein
    # 09 stapi/ipbox
    # 11 stapi/openbox
    B: { 06 } - Change this value to 06 ONLY

Can't comment on Tuners....but Server side this should get you going

Loads of info here mate to get you going
    Linux Server Tuts

But in general people use Oscam standalone or Oscam/Cccam combo using Oscam to read and Cccam to share! They both have pro's and cons!

I would use Oscam only and if you choose this route use this tut from ThatFellow
    http://linuxsat-support.com/li…only-install-package.html

This will get OScam setup on Ubuntu from there you need to look/do the following!

You will need a card to share with and connect that to your server either using your reciever or a card reader like smargo or omnikey

Setup configs for your card and cams you want to use....using Oscam Config/Server files

When this is all done and your card is being read through Oscam you can then create accounts and share from Oscam using Mgcamd (Oscam end) and Mgcamd (newcamd.list) reciever end!

Mate you have a lot to read and some bad news depending on how you look at it!

Firstly you need to get a understanding of how the hobby works and what things can be achieved!
I have a thread here that explains the ins and outs and is similar to a situation you find yourself in! click link
    http://linuxsat-support.com/introductions/17101-hi-all.html

From there mate the rest should make sense!

Cccam is a softcam/share protocol used in the hobby! The account you refer to is normally referenced as a C - line from a server (account) that will allow you to view certain channels (depending on what is being shared via/through server)
As with everything people take the piss (PAYSERVERS) and some will say exploit the hobby and others and offer there sharing services at a Price wrapped up in 'Buy this Box - Plug In - All Channels for £*** lol
Joe Bloggs (You im afraid buddy) buys the box plugs it in and starts to experiance issues......do a bit of research and find us! :firework:

Now all is not bad and we/i am always happy to help new Hobbyists but where you will hit a problem is if you are looking for or have paid for a C -Line from the Devil Payserver type person...if you have you will need to speak to them! Regarding seeing/clearing/viewing unsubscribed channels!

On you box we may be able to help though although as i said in Intro...its not the most newbie friendly box lol!

    i need help on:
***Knowing if it comes with cccam account already configured
Depending on where you got it from....did you pay for a sub or gift (free channels) or was it just the box? How much did you pay may tell?
***If not, where do i get the account?
Read above link....all will become clear but through a valid share or a sub from your own local/server!
***how to set it up with the account.
You obtain a cline from server - Server has an account created allowing access - from you box in Networks (Menu) you should see Cccam setup....this is where you add you Cline
(you put cline on to usb and transfer cline from usb using menu options) - (You may need to press 6666 or 0000 or 3333 in menu to access Cams Panel)

***i downloaded the above attachment, do i go ahead and use it?
What is on your box already? if you can get to cccam panel you just need to add cline and then your good to go!
If not you will need to update Firmware from here
    Openbox s16 Firmware

Look through the posts and see what firmware has best right up (less problems) from users or use something suggested by our Resident Openbox Expert Alibaba1802

Just to add on what thatfellow above said lol

If you want to use BlackHole try this backup image
    http://linuxsat-support.com/vu…ckhole-1-7-9-3-mrgmx.html

It has Oscam/Cccam combo package for sharing/using card in reciever

You will need to access the config files and change them accordingly using the following posts
    http://linuxsat-support.com/os…am2-1-3-s%2Ay-uk-ipk.html

Some more info/problems e.t.c that have been resolved can be found here
    http://linuxsat-support.com/vi…t-sly-channels-threw.html
    http://linuxsat-support.com/vi…o-vu-image-oscam-etc.html

The info should help if your unsure!

But use that backup or get Oscam/Cccam on your box using ipks or from BH Panel or TsPanel - Setup your configs - and you should be good to go!

    Post back if any problems

    Right Here Goes!

TBH connection via Wire or HomePlugs is the best way! Wifi can be hit and miss for some! House build specific e.t.c (Thick Walls)
This can be setup in the Network section of Your Image (Vix) much the same way you would setup wireless on PC....have key e.t.c to hand! If you plan to record and move stuff to a PC wired option would be best anyways!

Just bare in mind buddy you have been quiet active sorting your box out....anything you may have installed and is not working you may need to delete as it may conflict!

It will be wise to install TSPANEL as it has various tools on there to delete/remove stuff and links to various addons!

To install stuff find the various IPK plugins from forum....ftp the ipk to /tmp folder on box....or copy to usb > plugin to box > copy over to tmp using filebrowser (plugin)

That should give you plenty to get your teeth into! Watch the Bones!

Hopefully by time you get it any issues will be ironed out with the Images as its not long hit the shelves lol

Vti is worth a look also buddy.....i hadn't touched it before and was really surprised!

Either/Or the Backup images will be kept up to date with any Image Version changes so when you get it give us a shout and we will
    let you know any developments!

    Cheers!

    Hi Lawxlb,

TBH i havent played about with this feature due to the Festivities lol!

All i will say is that out of the 3 Images! VTi Image Airplay seemed to work the best - On booting up it would tell you that its active and ready!
Vix done the same but all of a sudden crashed and the continued to crash system everytime it loaded (airplay) was logged on green screen so can only assume it had something to do with that?

Best thing to do is make a backup of your image and give it a go....if you need a hand just shout! Failing that i will have a play with it and report back!

Ps.....Please pass by Introductions and Introduce yourself to the Forum buddy!

    Introductions

Sorry bud i did have a browse when you 1st posted!

To me it seems like any normal Enigma2 box? The sites reference all the same plugins that most other boxes do also?

I just kept quiet thinking someone may have one and know more!

Can you access the box using DCC? Can you tell us what format the files are in? .py or .po files? Any references to Enigma2 in folder? do you have a usr, var locations e.t.c in route of box? that may help?

Failling that you should be able to use the installed image and add plugins to it? have you tried installing a Enigma2 plugin from here?

    They really are trying!

Box looks similar to X3 is there anything extra on the back (connection wise?)

The Image/UI looks like a vast Improvement though so Good Stuff!

    Still sub £70 box??

    Cheers for Info!

So in True Apple style all the Fuss for nothing lol

Good Stuff though lol! May have to leave in laws early to go n play!

Big Up the Vix Team n Merry Xmas

As you go the solo mate use this one by Our Resident Boss Ten Below

    http://linuxsat-support.com/vu…olo-backup-ten-below.html

Unzip to a Usb stick (formatted Fat32) and Shutdown Vu box (Backup or Copy any lines, stuff you need e.t.c) - Switch Off at Back

Plug Usb stick into front of device - Power On

You should get 'Reading USB' and when Finished 'Remove and Restart'

Remove - Reboot and Vix should be ready to configure to your needs!

Add files/lines to box using FTP and all should be Cushty!

    Mine sits in

    /etc/tuxbox

to throw a spanner in the works lol

    Running Vix

But grabbed this off the net so having it in both may bo of use?

If your Vu+ is slow and feels bulky when scanning through your satellites that you have configured, odds are that the file that contains a list of all transponders and other satellite information is outdated or invalid, containing alot of junk information slowing the process down.
The best way to sort this problem out is to generate a custom satellites.xml file for only the satellites that you are intending on recieving. Updating this once a year or so is a good idea, since the configuration of these transponders can change – some are added, some are removed.
Firstly you need to download an up-to-date satellites.xml which can be downloaded from the link below. Just go and select the satellites you want and download it at the bottom of the page.
    h**p://satellites-xml.org/
Once this has been downloaded to your computer, it’s time to transfer it to your Vu+ box. This can be done with scp, ftp or even with telnet cut’n'paste if you’re a bit tech savvy. Ask the person that helped you configure your Vu+ initially for details exactlh how this process could work best for you.
Save the satellites.xml file in /etc/enigma2/ – absolutely not in /etc/tuxbox.
Restart your box. Voila. The new satellites.xml is in place, ready to be used for scanning your favourite satellites.
Now some of you might be wondering “Why use etc/enigma2 and not etc/tuxbox…?”. Easy!
The image comes with a built-in satellites.xml, located in etc/tuxbox. This is a system-file and is being updated as soon as an online update of the image is carried out. Also, there could be a possibility the file in this location maybe overwritten by the system.
You can also use a customised satellites.xml, placed in etc/enigma2. If one is available here, it takes priority over the system-file in etc/tuxbox. If this one is messed up, it can be deleted and the system-file will take over immediately (after an E2-restart).

Muso backup already has a Channel list setting so i wonder if they are conflicting?

Why the need to change buddy AutoBouquets is Simples and the way forward lol!

Just open up Plugin and change to your region and it will download the channel settings accordingly!

You may need to go into TSPANEL and using the Unistall/Remove tool get rid of the SGTFlipflop settings/folder!
