Video on How to Flash a Vu Solo2
The Clip finishes Early lol....after last scene Box will Start Countdown to Reboot! Remove USB and let it Reboot - New Image will now be present on Solo2
The Solo2 has the press power to flash feature now.....removing that the Principle is the same for any Vu ...just ensure you are using correct model image (solo, solo2, uno, duo, ultimo)
Have Fun!

No mate you don't want to touch them mate just make sure the files are on USB in correct folder structure that's all!
If they are present try and flash again!
Glad you got sorted Buddy!

Right what Image are you trying to put on it buddy?
When you unzip the folder and put on USB you should have the following present!
Folder vuplus > click into that
SubFolder solo2 > click into that
a number of files present.....kernel_cfe....root_cfe
If all this is ok then Image on stick fine!
Power Off Unit > Plug in USB > Switch On
Watch the screen on the solo2 > It should tell when to press Power Button!
(If it goes to 'starting' or something comes up on TV you missed it lol)
When you press Power button the LED screen on box should output starting to flash...you may see flashing software....reading USB or something of the like.....the TV will be blank while this is done! (process will take a couple of mins....various messages will some up on solo2 LED screen)
It should say Finished...or Reboot box itself (sorry forgot exactly) but when done remove USB and restart box!
You should now see the image load up on TV and Setup Wizard for your image should start!
lol
Start again....you press the power button on the box itself....the touch screen one!
Power Off > Insert USB > The box will say something along lines of to flash/install press Power Button! > Do so and the Box will go through process of flashing!
It will ask to remove USB and/Or Restart when done
try following passwords
dreambox
vuplus
linuxsat
Hi mate,
yep your on the right tracks lol
fomat USB Fat32
Download the Image or Backup Image from our solo2 section (backups have stuff Pre installed)
Unzip and place on USB - Structure of files/folders should look like - vuplus > solo2 > files for backup BIN/ROOT e.t.c
power down solo2 and switch off at the back
put USB into front of solo2 > switch on and watch front panel > it will say to start press power button > be quick otherwise it won't flash!
press Power Button on solo2 and it will start to flash etc and the reboot!
remove USB and new image should load up and run Wizard to setup!
Some more Info here there is a nice plugin that many use
http://linuxsat-support.com/vu…k-up-usb-flash-drive.html
Some further bits here
http://linuxsat-support.com/vu…e-black-pole-v-1-0-a.html
http://linuxsat-support.com/vu…arding-images-backup.html
The Image should have a Backup option
e.g Vix Menu > Vix > Image Manager i think lol its Late!
I know there is a command you can telnet across to box (can't remeber off hand what it is)
I have seen backup option in TsPanel but havent used as always Use the Image option....Try it....it will install a Backup folder in HDD drive or wherever you set it to!
It will be in the same layout as you would use to flash i.e Folder vuplus > Ultimo > which 2/3 files boot and root files
Not sure about DM buddy but im sure process should be same for all!
A Full Image backup will backup all plugins, cams, lines and setup features....just bare in mind somethings like EPG downloader for example will be there but will need setting up again!
Plugin wise, Line wise, Cam wise, Channel list wise all should be backed up!
Remember just do a Full Image backup and not the Settings backup...it got me the 1st time lol
Just start again and go over each step carefully if your line is active and Mgcamd is intalled on box and is ACTIVE you should have no problems
Install Mgcamd on Box - Using softcam Manager check its there
Change N Line into CWS = format and save as newcamd.list
Change details discussed here in mg.cfg mainly Box section change {00} to {06} as described
ftp both files to usr/keys (var/keys should be same location) Check both files are there and present!
go into softcam manager on reciever and Start Mgcamd Cam...make sure its the ONLY cam running (Stop all others prior to starting)
The rest as they say should be history!
Testing a PB??? Personal Backup or BP? BlackPole???? or neither lol
can't you ftp the ipk's to /tmp on the reciever
then from box install local extensions?
That would easiest way buddy
London Live... on *** Sports! New TV deal for NBA starting with sold-out O2 game
*** Sports will screen next week's NBA London Live game to launch their coverage of the sport after
agreeing a deal to televise the American sport until the end of the season.
ESPN had secured the exclusive rights last month after the season started in November without any airtime in the UK.
But *** have swooped in ahead of Thursday's regular season game at the O2 Arena between the New York Knicks and the Detroit Pistons.

As seen on TV: New York Knicks head to London next week with star man Carmelo Anthony
The sold-out fixture will be the first NBA game played in the UK to be show on 3D and ***'s coverage continues with
live Sunday night games for the rest of the regular season, followed by live NBA Playoff games, the entire
Eastern Conference Finals, and every game of the NBA Finals in June.
'The NBA has a strong fan base in the UK and the sold-out game at the O2 promises to be a great sporting spectacle,' said *** Sports' managing director, Barney Francis.
'We follow NBA London Live 2013 with primetime Sunday night games for the remainder of the regular-season and the drama of the post-season including every game of the NBA Finals.'
The addition of the NBA sees *** bolster their busy schedule of live sport in January and February, which includes
Barclays Premier League, UEFA Champions League knock-out stages, England’s ODI series against India, the ICC Women's World Cup, International netball,
rounds five and six of the Heineken Cup and the start of the Super League season.

ESPN will continue to screen the action from across the Atlantic too, meaning British fans will be able to watch five games a week until the season ends.

What are the Issues buddy?
This is one of the Premium boxes.....you got a Clone or Original!
Perhaps look at Gigablue maybe.....but Vu are NORMALLY lol the Dogs??
Right lets try and clear a few things up!
You have Mgcamd 1.38 installed on Box (You can view from softcam manager)
You have created/have a line/account e.g myip.linux.sat 12345 user1 pass1 01 02 03 - 14
You have added myip.linux.sat 12345 user1 pass1 01 02 03 - 14 to CWS =
Line now reads - CWS = myip.linux.sat 12345 user1 pass1 01 02 03 - 14
saved this as newcamd.list (using something like Notepad ++) > ftp this and mg.cfg to var/keys (check its there)
You have enabled/started the Mgcamd Cam in softcam manager (DISABLE/STOP Cccam if you have)
IF all the above done and still not working post back
