Daddy Bear,
I think you will need a 9 pin Pci Card that actually goes into PC itself.
I tried USB (although with a Duo) and no luck.
Should cost £10 on ebay so may be worth a look
Hope you get sorted
As root,
cp /folder1/folder2/folder3/filename.txt /newfolder1/newfolder2/newfolder3/
That will put filename.txt into newfolder3 folder
Change as you need just keep the folder hieracy and exact file formet (UPPERlowercase and extension .txt)
Should be as simple as making a cake
What are you intentions simpo?
Are you planning on just receiving a feed from a friend/peer in which case you would be a client and therefore any version of Cccam or Mgcamd would be sufficient!
If you wanted to share a card through your box or say a Pc server then it would depend on a few issues :- Type of Card, Card Reader, Amount of Shares, Control of Shares e.t.c!
Most use Cccam or Mgcamd but there are alternatives, i would start with one of these 2 as there are supported most/easiest to use.
Have you been given a Line to enter in your box? What is your peer using? This may determine what you should use
Have you got 2 sat feeds running into duo? if so yes
Just make sure they are both setup and Receiver A and B e.t.c and have a look here if you have any problems with Premium Channels on both channels
In short you need to create a line/account for both feeds in you box in order to watch 1 premium channel on 1 rec and another premium on the other as i had to find out hehe and the extra line to your cccam.cfg or whatever you use in the box!
Campbell
I think without connecting another box you may struggle, if you had a box you could just give it another line! or possible loop (but this will play the same channel)
Failing that you can stream your box/channel to another device Pc, Mac Ipad e.t.c which may be more useful?
I use idreamx look below, it gives you the ability to choose channel etc from an interface and then stream to vlc (pretty good)
Think its kind of Horses for Course mate!
Although i believe the Omnikey is a bit better with the Range of Cards it reads but don't quote me on that!
Some say Ecm times are a bit lower with Omnikey but i havent had any need to worry! (Little trick for ECM times use a powered USB hub as it decrease the times)
I brought Smargo and Omnikey and opened Smargo 1st!
Never had a need to change it so far.....using *** uk
Just my opinion of course
:80:
Have you downloaded and ran the OscamCccam install script also?
See post below as all bits in there should get your oscam and Cccam up and running!
http://linuxsat-support.com/li…-installation-ubuntu.html
Read through the pages for any problems you may encounter
Have a look at this thread also
http://linuxsat-support.com/os…6-oscam-cccam-server.html
You will find a link in there for your configs depending on the card you wish to read
You can start oscam in terminal window by
cd to the folder that oscam is in. usually /usr/local/bin
then type ./oscam -b
Few Linux commands you many use
ls (lists directory your in)
cd /directory (located to directories using cd/ ) go back cd ..
nano (using this will open the file with basic editor
cp /tmp/thisfile.txt /newdirectory (cp copies files make sure you enter folder format for current and new areas)
Have a look here for info on Oscam
Maza,
It would help if we knew a bit more info mate!
What Linux OS are you using (Ubuntu, Debian)
What card reader have you got (Smargo, Omnikey)
Did you run an auto install script from the forum?
You can access oscam via webif using the static ip address you have chosen and your port number assigned in config files!
e.g 192.1.1.1.1:8888 (8888 being the default settting for all/most scripts)
The more info we have the easier we can help mate!
Ferdi,
Cccam bin file should go here usr/bin
Cccam.cfg file should go here usr/etc
Would be better/easier to install emu through TSpanel or Using above method copying to tmp and installing from box?
Davus,
Once the file is in tmp folder (temp file is in volatile/tmp on Pli based images...)
You should be able to access the local extensions from your box!
Will be Menu - Setup - Local Extensions or something like that as i dont use pli images? but look for Install local extensions/plugins
You should be able to select the file you want, (may have to choose external or internal HD to locate, but it should find it??)
Run the extension setup - reboot box and it should be installed mate
You may need this
http://linuxsat-support.com/showthread.php?t=6050&highlight=dreambox+control+center
DCC for windows
that will enbable you to connect to box and ftp/copy files to the location you require on your box!
Davus,
Easiest way is through TSPanel, Just double check you have downloaded through Linuxsat addons group and of course internet connection :)
Failing that download the file which you have already and ftp it to tmp folder on your box and then install through your menu (local extensions)
Yeah did think it was for Cccam but thought it may work for both/all?
But what do i know :) HoHum
James my friend my feeling is it could be something else wrong when it blew up!
Try formating usb as fat32 in windows just in case but the problem could lie else where
Fingers crossed
Not a very talkative person on the phone my friend sorry :(
Post your info here, we are all friends and it will make it clearer to decipher!
Will also help anyone else who has the same kind of problem,
We will get you there mate don't worry
No it shouldnt be for that price? :)
Just try the following steps,
Format USB Fat32
Add the bootloader to that in the file/folder format
Plug in and switch on VU (Ensure Duo screen says 'reading usb' and then flicks to 'remove and reboot'
Did you have an image on prior? if not load an image onto it
Download image from forum and add that to usb (remove bootloader) in file/folder format
Plug into duo and switch on ' you should get again reading from usb and then remove and reboot!
remove and reboot and image should load up!
Stupid but have to ask! Your connection to you TV is ok? HDMI plugged in e.t.c may be worth a double check!
