Could be a load of things mate...
If your recordings play back from the zgemma h1 okay that will eliminate the box and it's hard drive. That would leave a pc playback issue...
If not then check the quality of your connections, some have had to add a booster due to weak signal, myself included....
Then the image you're using is only a badly patched xp1000 image. There is no vix support for the zgemma boxes.

Thanks for replying, hmm well yes the recordings are playing so if that rules out the box/HDD then great :)
Have purchased a 128GB Hi Speed Pen drive in case it was the HDD I'm using being slow (ripped it out of an old official slybox) but that matters not!

I don't think it will be a PC issue but I will run thru everything with it and try to eliminate that 100% maybe a trip back to Windows7 is in order there, but that's no trouble. To be on safe side.

Ah ok well the Image did cross my mind as being the culprit but I wasn't sure how much of a difference it would make.

clanser not to worry I was gonna ask the same question :) Is there an officially supported Image for the Zgemma that you would recommend?

And finally is the a recommended signal booster to use? I'm happy to pay for quality but only if it's necessary.

    Thanks again for replying

    Hi Guys

Got hold of one of these boxes yesterday and got it set up (DVB-C only as not using Sly ATM) pretty quickly. However have noticed the recordings I'm getting are maybe not as good as expected. I FTP'd a couple of test records to my PC and noticed that while the picture itself is sharp and crisp it goes a little jittery when things are moving fast on screen. This would be fine if I was recording Eastenders but have bought it to record Motorsports so fast motion is obviously pretty common .
Would like to know if there are any settings on the H1 I can tweak to help improve this, I'm running Sucmnse's Vix 165 ( I don't know if flashing a new Image would help unless there are more video setting available on other Images).
I don't think it is a problem with my Virmin as recordings on my VBox were fine and I ran an Amiko combo and the recordings on that were fine also (apart from the fact they couldn't be played on PC).
I have looked at the AV setting's but nothing stuck out at me as being the culprit.

Any help, tips or advice would be very helpful as I can't think of anything.

Hey, thanks I will give it a go when I get home tomorrow, honestly Im not even 100 exactly sure what box I have myself, it wasn't described very well in the add and I had no idea there were different types of Clone. It has the "Mini Flash Up" button on the back if that helps???
Just wanna chose a nice stable IMG now to get myself up and running and will play about when am a bit more comfortable with the box.

And also, I should mention is a Single DVB-C Tuner.

Hey, thanks very much that was really helpful of you. Ok so just to confirm I get this right (I'm not an advanced user on this box have only had it 24hours and look whats happened lol)
Type the box IP in browser,
flash the Black Hole IMG you linked to,
    Do Not reboot the box,
Press back until I see "load bootloader",
And then flash the file you attached to your post.

All of this is done in the browser window on PC, and after loading the "Secondstage" file then I'll need to reboot I assume, and it will boot into Blackhole?

    Hi people,

Ok so I bought a DM800 HD SE SR4, received it yesterday, plugged all in and it started up fine, did a stupid thing as first thing i did was hit update and it asked me to reboot and now I just get Greenscreen, really annoyed with myself tbh. I can still get the box IP from the front display so I dont have the dreaded "no CA found" problem just need to get it up and running again.

Anyway I have found this thread on the forum,

    http://linuxsat-support.com/showthread.php?t=6250

which helps a great deal to knowing hopefully how to solve the issue, however, the downloads are now inactive so I cannot grab the files, Im hoping someone can share some fresh links as I'm sure there will be plenty of people that need them.
Also while I'm writing, are the Images (that were) in that thread the only ones suitable for recovering the box? Or can I recover it with another Image from the correct 800 HD SE Clone section quite fancied giving another IMG a shot if I can.

Would like to give big thanks to anyone who can provide DL links for the files or give any advice on the situation.

Are you sure its the FW thats making it glitch? Sure it can happen but you may wanna check your "ahem" on another box before you go reflashing your box.
I hope you get it sorted, but I have found older FW Pre October 14 works best with Cable on the Combo, newer ones can cause issues from my expirence.

    Hi,

That is a known problem on cable, I had exactly the same thing happen to me, the firmware I use now is Lavatronics Enhanced Firmware, if you get one from 21/10/14 or before you should be able to scan cable no problems.... Guessing it must be a tricky bug to squash as has been around a while now.
Lavatronics FW should ge easy to find with G00g1e

    Hope this helps :)
