  • what causes glitching ?

    1st thing is to be sure the dish is okay in my opinion !
    which channels glitch ? then check which frequency they transmit on ! Then check signal strength and quality on that frequency or transponder to use the correct terminology. If you can establish its low you have your answer ! get dish aligned is solution !


    Next search out ecm showing as NAN - once you have that issue solved you can check ecm times by selecting a channel and using search scan bar to read relevant ECM info ! If ecm times rise above say 400ms then glitcing will often occur .


    Others will advise what a bad ecm time is - i think 600ms is unwatch-able !

  • what causes glitching ?

    Glitching can be caused when you have a poor or low signal from the dish ¬
    depending which image your on you can check the signal through the system menus - !


    High ecm times are a cause of glitcing too - For example this can happen if somebody else on your network is a heavy down-loader or On line gamer !


    Menu - setup - tuner configuration - There you can check your signal levels and Quality !

    Robxxx7 The TM800 is Rubbish - And as much as i may like or dislike technomate it seems there new Linux offerings are well supported. I have my reasons to dislike technomate ! That's personal between me and them !!!

    i have actually used a tm2 t oe and it was alright - Its built on the same chassis as the ill fated Tm800 - shame they couldn't have got it right 1st time ?

    i'm being told there as rare as hens teeth mate and you'll pay for it if one is available !
    I got a dish off Andy Ray from here before xmas and i know he had a super jack actuator if thats any help tooth !

    YES exactly ! in your case CCcam is using Nagravision or seca protocol !
    So its pretending to be a Nagravision or seca cam _
    Its a very powerful program which took many years to perfect !

    1st i moved your post to a THREAD of you own - Its better not to hijack a concluded thread -
    You will get better support here !


    1st we need to know what card you have ! For example white card by uk provider !


    Emulate means copy or Pretend !
    So using software your box can pretend to be a Conditional Access Module or CAM ! These units were hardware based PCMCIA modules that read cards !
    They were all copyrighted !
    So a Softcam like CCcam is a program thats software based which reads cards in this case on board a satellite box


    A great example of emulation is MAME multi arcade machine emulator - Use your pc with this software and it can emulate or pretend to be virtually any arcade machine game you can think of or remember in my case joint10


    Anyway over to you lets see where this goes ?

    its a shame to see people sucked in by these "CHEAP" boxes . They end up spending hours trying to sort them out when they could and should be watching tv and playing with addons.

    Hello Aaron where are you in the UK mate ?


    Catseye is a nice channel list for motorised ! also channel lists are available via ts panel for example and blue button addon servers !
    Common way is to use dreambox edit to recompile a channel list with specific local ones to your area ¬ Exaple would be i always put BBC1 south into position 1 so my girlfriend just has to press 1 button to get her channel and not wade through te thousands available -


    Have a read about TS panel its really useful tool
    And look up dreambox edit
