I followed the advice of silverfox and bought omnikey reader from eb*y for £7.99. works so much better and as silverfox said reduces the ecm times considerably.
Give us some stats Kemistri ? wot was ecm time before and after ???

What you are overlooking is the fact that anyone in europe can subscribe to a tv channel from anywhere in europe so they can view it PRIVATELY !
if for example i tookout a sly subscription in the uk and took the box and card to spain for use in my commercial premisis (PUB) i would be in breach ! Thats the issue here i think ! Private subs are being used in commercial premisis ? So if i phoned N*** greece and told them my intentions to use there system here in a pub (theoretically) they should provide me with a comercial viewing card at a higher tarrif where as at the moment people are buying private subs for use !

Its all down to budget and what you really want to achieve ! is it a flatscreen tv in the front room ? are the others fltscreens ? Have you ever heard of AV lynx systems and cat5e distribution ! it costs a few quid buts its well worth the effort if within the budget you set ?
It really is very difficult to advise exactly what to put where carmine with out actualy seeing and knowing what combination of INs and OUTs your system comprises of ?
Sorry to be vague
in basic terms your looking for optical audio out on ya TV to go to optical input in on the Surround amp(if they have those in/outs)
OR
Audio out of the Tv to AUX in of the surround amp
Both of the above will result in whatever picture is being shown on the tv audio should be coming from the amp provided its set to Aux/optical in ect as per connection you use !

so if i have 20 peers and really want boxnation i have to setup oscam as a server or is there a easy way to do it without toching my cccam server
dont touch cccam server just set up oscam on its own then make a share from oscam to cccam ! that way nothing changes except your card reader !
Use oscam to read your card and cccam to share it !

for the feedback about "No active entitlements found"
the problem was brltty package, had to remove it (and reboot) so oscam can use the smartreader and read card correctly.
Yes i@ve heard of this problem ! in fact i removed britty package from my last debian distro !
How did you go about removing the britty package m8 ?joint10
apt-get remove britty ?
should appear in Red on start up marked as failed right ?

my own experiance with Debian,CCcam+smargo was not successful ! i found card reader dropping out often ! i seem to remember reading lots of internet threads about the subject ! Its best tu use Oscam with $ky_uk card or Pick tv cant be unscrambled and thus far it has worked well for me using debian oscam+cccam213 with smargo and $ky_uk ! My belief is Smargo doesn't work too well with debian cccam ! perhaps i'm mistaken !

Hi i bought a original smartreader + and was installed on debian 6 with $ky_uk card running on 3.59mhz fixed, all was good for 3 weeks until 2 days ago

i doubt pouring on hot water on it will do the lnb any good
ice on the lnb will definately cause signal to degrade ! let it (thor) out and then try it ! Is the dish clear of snow as that will stop the signal too !
Go careful with ladders if there is ice on the ground mate !

- think problem with sly is they don't send out many emms so it is a pain - probably still easiest to leave in original box for a couple of days i think!
i agree however my peers are always upset when i explain my card is in original box to update entitlements ! :nosebleed_002:

get as big a dish as your budget allows ! i'm not sure of your location but you need big dish for viasat in most of the uk ! when you first set up the dish have the lnb slightly off set ! 3-5degree twist to the left looking at the dish ! then just fine tune from there ! stay away from the triax dishes as i have noticed they have a focal point issue with most lnbs and i have noticed this myself althouh some one else told me to use only inverto black lnbs with the triax to sort it out but i haven't tried it yet ! again though when it comes to dish size imo you never regret having one to Big :sweet_kiss:
