save yourself the money and find an italian peer or someone in the uk with that card and setup a share !
stay cool mate
thanks for the advice ! i like your idea GlenviewJF thats cool idea as it saves your personal web connection from being used right ?
i'm gonna have a go at that Thanks shatanar
i am currently using eagle box as card server (oscam) connected to debian pc (cccam 213) and i use N line to conect
i like the idea of csp ! honestly i dont really understand but thats why i'm interested and asking for advice :confuse:
do i need another pc to run csp ? is it best in debian or ubuntu ? can it be added to the existing Debian 6 server
if your not using a sly box anymore you cant use there tv link system !
technomate box has an rf out !
if you need rf out 9v power to run a loft amp like t120 or f140 you will find there is a seperate power supply that can plug into a mains is available !
I`m in the south east of the uk and my T90 does 28,23,19,16,13,10,9,4.8, and 1 w HTH all with shitty stock cheapo LNB`s
Your showing off The A of J ! Wave torodial T90 dish is a very nice peice of kit lol
With respect to the original Question take glenviews advice and use the inverto lnb ! my mate swears by them when setting up arabsat dishes !
imo a 80cm dish should work fine on 16e ? are you using a meter or the stb And is the transponer list up to date ? there has been many changes @16e recently ! With regards sirius i get the viasat footy channels here in devon with a 78cm but not even my 1.2m irte dish will receive the nordic beams ! however i'm told viasat romps in on a 60cm dish in newcastle ? Why not go Motorized for an extra £40 when you buy the 1.1m ! Also i would look at other options apart from the triax as they have been proven to have a flaw with regard the focal point due to the design of the boom arm and how its held in place ! i've noticed this Myself when setting them up so i know its true !
:rikjaard1:
ok mate the "Tuner" is the piece of hardware inside he box that demodulates the signal and is direcly attached to the silver screw type connection which the cable screws onto !
try using dreambox edit and upload an enigma1 chennal list to your box ! you have to Reload the settings on ya box with dream edit program to activate the settings and even then i still do a manual reboot !
Mate if your still stuck later we could try uploading a channel list to your box remotely then you'll know for sure ! As Caz says though, there is nothing better than learning ya-self ! To upload a channel list to your box remotely would require router settings to be altered ! namely port forwarding FTP 21 !
Good luck mate and the offers there if your in doubt !
:rikjaard1:
there is an adaptor available i seen somewhere !
Here's a Labgear version ! they are a big name in tv equipment although they were taken over a few years i cant remeber by whom ?:waaaht:

help please guys ! Fraser70 is asking what the remote ecm number in brackets is about ? my example i highlighted them yellow
Ten Below answer as i read it says that the yellow numbers in my example are ecm used by (GAZZ) & (BASH) peers implying they=(GAZZ and BASH) are re-sharing?
In my case i know thats not true as they are my family and i know they dont re share ?
So i assume i'm not reading this correctly ? What are the remote ecm (yellow numbers) ? Nice post Fraser70
Thanks for your patience :confuse:
:rikjaard1:
look for ten belows debian cccam auto instal !
it took me three weeks to set up my server about a year ago ! i knew absolutely nothing about the subject so dont worry just dive in mate !
most people can have it up and running in a couple of hours though ! i am completely new to computers ! joint10
the best pc to use is older ones ! there are plenty of people here willing to lend a hand if y6u get stuck ! GO FOR IT !

:rikjaard2:
disregard my last comment then dude ! the latest dish must be a mk4 so thats the one you want mate ! thats what that lnb you linked to is for ! it clips onto the boom arm where as the old ones slide inside ! there is a convertor available but i m o you'd be better off with the mk4 dish too they're much better !
Nice one mate
sly dishs are not intended for use with non sly specification lnbs mate ! depending on the age/manufacturer/type of boom arm ect would all play a role in which "sly octo" LnB you would require to fit the appropriate dish And some of the older triax dishs cant be upgraded simply replaced in slys view ! they're a friggin nightmare tbh there really is loads of variations ! Since your upgrading try and get 1 of the new style mk3 "sly spec" dish and octo lnb ! i m o they're a real improvment on all previous versions and they get a better gain as they're slightly larger all be it 2cm but it makes a difference in meter readings !

Have a look on fleebay you probably get the whole lot for about £20 ! cheers
i dont know alot mate but i think you might need to get your card switched back on by the provider ! hopefully someone else can confirm this !
i have notice somewhere a post about bringing back a sleeping card by adding P: 0963:1 in the dvapi file when using Oscam ! Musogeek is the man to ask as i'm sure it was his post i read ! NOne the less i'm not an expert !

Can't beat some good music and marine fish on the tv.
its a massive log fire this time of year :go: However i couldn't agree more shamonemf !
i have been after this one since forever ! lol
:rikjaard1:
I understand these channels are usually biss encrypted. where there keys readlily available for these channels.
just wondering if its worth setting my dish up for these channels, dont wont to bother if they are re-encrypted in a few days
Time to go motorized ! you couldn't find a better examole of how useful it can be ! :sure:

perhaps turkish broadband speeds might explain the distinct lack of available shares coming from that part of the world ? Of course i'm just surmising as i aint even been to turkey ! :dribble:

I've been after the AQUAVISION service forever :byebye:

Sorry if this is a stupid question i'm just not sure ! i checked many posts here on this subject but i'm still not sure :baffle:
:rikjaard1:
If your recieving from crystal palace then you will pay LONDON prices ! which i think is more than rest of the country :bad_smelly: !
So here on the south coast an Aerial installed on a pole on the chimney starts @ £130 through to £180 if outdoor mast head amps are required !
Then add between £40-£60 per additonal point !
So i guestimate @ worst = New aerial with amp/filter = £180 to main tv + 3 additional points @£60 could be as much as a total of £360 !
i would get a couple of estimates and see what you can bargain them down too !
Remeber that if your new stuff lasts 40 years then that estimate i gave you would work out at £9 per year of service ! which is less than 25pence a week !
They should install your stuff safely too ! remeber Rod Hull ?
Good luck mate ! let us know what happens wont you !

Hi All complete newb here so I'll get straight to the point. Currently I have vm but thinking of getting rid and getting a sat set-up my main concern is channels I'll be able to receive i only really watch
BBC,ITV,4,E4,Comedy Central,E,Various kids and the Discovery and Nat Geo channels all HD i want to be able to watch these plus the footie and the f1.
I've been looking at the TM 6902 hd t-2 spiderbox9900hd or a clone dreamboxHD plus what would be better a motorized dish or a static one with multiple lnb's i live just outside Oxford it that helps
thanks in advance for any help
jump in the deep end mate and get a motorised system !
whatever your budget allows you to spend ! SPEND !
if your completely new to all this then there is gonna be alot of learning ! nothing comes for free but if you put the time in you wil be delighted with the results !
technomate stuff is pretty user friendly straight out of the box and there a uk based firm !
Vu stuff is pretty much top quality but requuires some user input to get going upon arrival as is all the linux open sourced hardware !
But dont be put off ! what ever your choice is your gonna find support here !
If you get really stuck you can become a vip and receive 1to 1 support !
So make the plunge and dont look back just have to do some reading !
If your not confident to install buy the gear and get some one local to price up an installation of the dish and motor !
Your still gonna have to do some homework to get the most out of it though !
Nice post
Rik
