    previously i made an i386 disc and used that to run debian from boot screen and all worked fine in a packard bell macine however the compaq does not seem to reconise that disc !
    do i need to download the AMD version from the debian website ? any pointers at this stage would be appreciated aS i'm well out of my depth already ? i would like to se a usb stick this time too if thats easier !

    Thanks

    hey guys i'm still not having much luck .............. i keep getting this responce from filezilla ?

    Command: STOR CCcam.x86
    Response: 553 Could not create file.
    Error: Critical file transfer error
    Status: Disconnected from server

    i tried logging into debian wiv filezilla as root but it doesn't let me in ? only lets me in as cccam user ! does that make a difference !
    thanks for your help guys

    Rik

    oki doki !
    i have searched my entire debian server and the only cccamx86 i can find is in /emu/cccam ?

    do i have to run a kill command before attempting to swap a x.86 file and performing chmod ?
    sorry to waste evryones time being so incompitant........just when i thought i was getting the hang of things :tire: lol

    Rik

    is it ok to run putty and filezilla plus firefox all at the same time ? :after_boom: ?

    i look wiv filezilla ther but it says empty directory ! cos i thought i seen cccam x86 in emu/cccam i replaced it there !

    everything is still working after a reboot through putty but it is still cccam 214 lol ?

    Rik

    hello

    how i can downgrade my debian6 cccam 214 to cccam 213 ! i know i must change the x86 file but i'm clueless guys !
    i would like to undertake this so i can make my locals show as Local cos at the moment they're not wiv 214 ? and so it looks like im a faker ?

    i need to add 256 to my N lines too !

    i have tring card in tm800
    i have sly card in eagle

    both connect to cccam 214 in debian server ! but this shows as hop1 to my peers ? gutted no-one likes to share wiv me even though i'm actually pretty solid so to speak just very novice !

    Thanks
    Rik

    Nearly forgott i had to add user in oscam user.file

    [account]
    user = user
    pwd = pass
    group = 1
    au = Tring
    caid = 0baa
    cccmaxhops = 0
    cccreshare = 3
    cccignorereshare = 0
    keepalive = 0

    This method allows cccam to connect to oscam ! the example is using port 18881

    Thanks for all the help i have been given when using this forum i hope this might help someone !

    Rik

    i added the following code to the oscam config in Tm800 then made a share from debian server running cccam 214 wiv the following line

    [cccam]
    port = 18881
    reshare = 2
    ignorereshare = 1
    forward_origin_card = 0
    version = 2.1.4
    updateinterval = 240
    minimizecards = 0
    keepconnected = 1
    stealth = 0
    reshare_mode = 1

    then made a share from debian server running cccam 214 wiv the following line
    C: (ip-of-Tm800) 18881 user pass

    Now my clients can see Tring ! already my brother did text to say its clearing ! Thanks MasterG :59:

    i am using oscam in Tm800hd to read tring card ! works fine !
    my problem is that i have debian server running cccam !
    so i put N line in debian server and that shows connected but debian server clients cant clear tring ?
    i am using MasterG oscam + cccam for tring configs

    sorry to be so thick i'm just not getting it ?

    thanks for any pointers people

    >>>>>>>>>>>version OSCAM100r3960
    >>>>>>>>>>>>>>tm800hd andromeda image

    Does this oscam have web iF ability wiv tm800hd ? i am using masterG configs for oscam+cccam Tring set-up !

    tried to log in just says "unable to connect"

    do i have to add summit manually to get a web interface wiv this box/oscam version ?

    Rik

    that does seem high to me mate ! my highest ecm time is 0.86ms ! though i am no expert ! ! !
    i'm sure i read somewhere that high ecm times can ocur when using smargo and that a powered usb hub did help reduce them ? i have no idea why just summit i read ? perhaps someone else hear does already know ? i think 3325ms is very slow ?

    There is usually a chart at the back of the motor manual which gives you the correct DISH elevation setting according to the Motors Elevation !
    ie
    for me...... my motor elevation is set to 51.5 north which means my dish Elevation has to be set to 27.5 according to the chart i had !
    this settings can be made prior to the installation along wiv the usuals set up ! if you follow the instructions correctly you should only have to align the dish on the moter to 1 reference satellite ! and this would be done by moving only the motor left or right on the pole cos the dish will be set to its position on the motor already wiv usuals !

    throw up the dish and motor

    and then you will have a reference point to work from !

    i would use 13e or 28e as a reference point cos they're both pretty strong signals to find in the uk !

    here is a link to my very rough guide. . . . . being Plumb is key to a spot on motorised install !

    http://linuxsat-support.com/sh…sed-set-up.html#post19204

    After a recent move i had the pleasure of re-installing my motorised satellite dish ! :dribble:
    first i did make sure the pole was plumb
    d54a589cfd0b07.jpg
    too make sure the pole is plumb i checked both sides at right angles
    6278c04cc83e6716f.jpg
    After everything is plumb and tight with spanners,the pole and brackett is ready to accept the dish !
    At this stage the dish should be attached to the motor ! And i always use U.S.A.L.S and set longitude & latitude then drive dish to 28.2e
    8d69e6350683476108.jpg
    all that is needed now is to align dish to 28.2e hand tight everything ! go inside and check arc to ensure other sats are being recieved ?
    If you got it spot on you should now have the ability to receive all sats with given dish size ! i have 78cm triax and got a good arc 30e-30w
    ad89ef068bdc79c145a8c36.jpg
    here is finished dish install !

    perhaps later i can upload some screen shots from various sats along my arc ! welcome10

    though they're not strictly linux boxs they're alot more user friendly wiv regards "end user" .... i think some people like us want to play around wiv the box more than watch tv so were more suited to the in depth linux stuff !
