never ever thought that ,,enigma 2 and motors work well ..a pain in the arse if you ask me .. but yet enigma 1 works brillant ..
Be more precise brad ! i found both enigma1 and enigma2 to be the same in the way they control motors ¬ virtually the same options in my vu duo as in my old tm500.
Motor control is after all a very basic function in a satellite receiver .....i have noticed on new LG tv's they have full DISEqC options built in allowing multisat viewing.

Best thing now is to use a thompson sly hd box i believe or get an SD box _
If sly repair the card to a newer type box you may not be able to share premium channels _What ever happens your switched OFF at the moment and you need to get switched back on by calling them or using there website to update your card.

have you tried to FTP the file and edit it ? permissions might need changing. -

If you dont have a card most softcam emu's will allow you a limited number of channels using "keys" >>>>>
However key support is not available on this forum although emus are !Lots of reading ahead of you should this be your first foray into Linux based satellite receivers !

So that brings me to my Question ?
How on earth do i go about getting foreign subs short of moving there ?I don't want to break forum rules so if anyone can PM me a supplier they have used i'd be delighted .
I like the nordic providers ¬ They really offer good service compared to UK B5B.
I have 1.8 dish and make use of it @ 4.8 sirius position.

And who knows they may be available elsewhere via uplink like BBC freesat_UK stuff at 27 west for example < Clutching at straws there but who knows ! + 1.8 is perfect for nordic stuff which has always been good content imo.Rik
