Great advice, I have managed to populate that information and understand that aspect.

Can anyone recommend where to buy/source the information that goes in there for additional channels etc. if indeed that is the way you go about it?! Sorry, I am entirely useless!

firstly Minion you must re read the rules ¬ We dont help or tolerate anyone buying CCcam connections on this forum.
However to source a decent SHARE you will need something to offer your end to start with.

Have a careful read around the forum >

Absolutely wounded ! i spilled beer into my tm800 which is set up in my shed and blew up the power supply board as you'd expect !
Luckily i had another one kicking about from a tm800 with a faulty tuner ! I replaced the board and to my astonishment it fired up 1st time and works a treat ¬ BUT and its a big BUT - Thinking i got away with that lightly my mrs appears at the shed door asking why she hasn't got a signal on the main tv connected to the VU Duo ?

Upon investigation it appears some sort of mains surge caused by the beer in the tm800 has taken out the VU's HDMI circuitry ???
i have tried different TV's , cables flashes ect ect but it seems hardware related ! Wounded _
The common connection between them all apart from mains is the ethernet cabling which runs via a 16 port switch and router so not even direct !

Any one think it can be fixed ?
Its at an electrical engineers house now so all i can do is cross my fingers.
Yes all other outputs work But not the HDMI -

Be careful with your Beers boys ! it might cost you more than you bargained for !:23_002:

your problem is too much signal ¬
the rf modulator puts out 70db and you incoming feed is boosted too from what you have said !
Try changing the RF output frequency of the modulator to a higher channel like 55 _ dont go over 60 as 4g signals may be present there.
If that doesn't work you'll need to attenuate the signal before it loops through the modulator .
ideally you need to know how much DB is present from the amplified aerial feed before attenuating ?

It may just be more simple for you to speak to your aerial installer and ask if he can set it up for you with a meter !

Hey Andrewg1 _

If you cant get a Lock on 1 west your Off arc ¬
When was your set up installed ? If recently and you have never had any other sats and you cant get a lock on

At thor 1west there is a problem with alignment.
The above Transponder carries BBC World news so you can get a picture ¬

to find out if your on the arc try and lock onto 1 west Thor satellite _ use aged care channel or BBC world news ¬

my suggestions would be to drive motor to 0 (zero) or goto 0 through tuner setup then manually move dish until you get a lock on one of the channels i already mentioned. Once dish is at 0 you should only need to nudge west 1 degree so go slowly and see what you can do.
If you cant lock onto 1 west you will not be on the arc _

Update to the latest version mate ! You don't mention what what version your using of DB edit or which box exactly ¬
I've had various issues over the years and usually keeping everything up to date helps mate !

When's the bird man rally ? or has that already happened ?
