  • vu+Ultimo VIX image channels?

    Which other box are you using? I did read a discussion on another forum about how disappointed someone was with the strength of the tuners in his duo compared to other 'inferior' (using the term loosely), sat boxes.

    Ill back this up and try another image for now, or go back to ccam, if anyone has a backup of this working for duo, id appreciate a copy

    Im trying to get mgcam and oscam working, for the dreamboxuk image - again (as i did on my 800, although i cant pull the config files directly from my 800 as i dont have a power supply for it at the moment)


    I have corrected a couple of the problems, myself, but I still need to start oscam manually for some reason and even if I do the same with mgcam, I can't see that mgcam is connected to oscam.


    Can anyone point me in the right direction, or let me know what files you need to see?

    You will probably be giving me pointers on something sooner or later, im prolly a pain in the behind for some of the more experienced members, but that doesn't usually deter me :)

    You buy a sub/cheap card, whatever you can afford and are comfortable with (maybe even a basic s*y subscription) and work on earning trust/friendship, the opportunity may present itself in certain circles, to give your friend a line of whatever flavour to your card, in exchange for thiers, the trading of card details is not encouraged but in certain circles and circumstances, the opportunity may present itself, by doing this you further the amount of channels you are able to 'clear' and not giving the payservers money, for thier '10 local' cards, which is something I suspect most of us did at first...


    and is frowned upon by the hobbyists among us


    EDIT: As for it being out of your depth, not really you just need to learn, trail and error which is frustrating, I know, as im still going through the learning process myself :)

    I thought the reason mgcam was preferred over ccam was because mgcam caches and ccam doesn't, but if oscam does a good job.... looks like ive mis(understood) or just plain missed something... :)

    Ive just started setting up my box again and did a rescan, no sign so far, but can't be that far away the opening ceremony is on Wednesday.

    The best thing to do is install tspannel, as it should have everything you may or may not need, one of the more popular ones is cross epg, there are others, for any epg to work they need to be setup and the data downloaded.


    What image are you using by the way?

    Does anyone know the dimension of the screws for the housing of the dm800se or where i would get a replacement ive lost one and although not the end of the world id like to replace it...


    Might seem daft, just looks better when i go to resell it...
