  • Help with finding a working image for Dreambox 500 HD V1

    I have a quite old Dreambox 500 HD original, version 1, with small memory and no USB port.

    I have used Openpli 4.0 downloaded from the forum several time.

    Today I needed to reflash the box because of several issues and after the usual installation the image could not update the existing packages and does not have any live feed available.

    I tried the openpli 6.1. Same story.

    I cannot install Cams etc

    I know it is an old box and images are not supported.

    Can anyone point me to an image with active feeds, or with all the basic thrills already installed?

    I do not want to throw it into the bin yet.

  • Help with box reanimator

    i tried all the possible tools.
    I really think it is the cable. Maybe USB to Serial doesn't work.
    I played with the USB/serial driver setting to adjust it to the value of the fix tool, COMport, bit rate,.etc
    No luck

  • Help with box reanimator

    Just killed my box. Learned the hard way chip ID can be modified.
    I am trying to use box reanimator but I am stuck with the message


    Open Serial Port..
    Sync to serial port..
    Get Client protocol version & chunk
    Time out when read data!


    Instructions attached are in polish I think...


    Any advice on how to properly use the tool?

  • OPENBOX S10 reboots only on HD channels

    Hi everybody.
    After a week and a lot of help from a forum member I have my Openbox s10 up and running as a client.
    Problem is that it reboots wheneverit goes on an HD channel, apart from ITV1 HD. THat is both for Sly UK and Sly Italia.
    I built a list of channels without any HD, but it is annoying not being able to benefit of the best picture on my new TV that I paid big buks for!
    I flashed several images following suggestion of other forum members, well tested, but no luck...
    Do I have a faulty box?
    It is definetely original and no clone.
    Any advice very welcome...

  • SLY Italia Openbox settings

    That could be just what i need.
    I have fought with the box for five days in a row...
    And made some progress just thanks to the invaluable help of another forum member.
    I am desperate to find a list with both italian channels from Hotbird 13 E and UK channels from astra 28.2 E.
    I am wasting so much time scanning trasponders one by one, because If I do a complete satellite scan my box crushes. I believe due to the well known problem of duplicated channels.
    And I tried to upgrade the firmware al least four time with version that have been tested by other forum members.
    And the annoying thing is that seems that most of the HD channels, both from Hotbird or astra, make the box reboot...

    Thanks everybody for your help.
    I found out for sure it is not a clone doing the 8888 test. Ig gives me 085B.
    Problem is that I did not reach the point when it reboots changing the channels.
    I was trying to tune the channels for the first time and after a partial search it reboots leaving few hundreds of channels but none that I am interested in.
    About a channel list I am lookin essentially for a list of Italian channels on Hotbird 13 east and I could not find any with *** Italia, Rai, Mediaset etc.
    Wich firmware version will fix this?

    I am a total idiot at that. I tought it would be difficult but at a later stage...
    Just received my Openbox S10 and tried to serch channels as a first step.
    My box keeps rebooting during channel search.... and is not able to search completely even a single satellite...
    I have learnt from several forums that rebooting is a common problem with this box...
    Any firmware update that will fix this?
    I am not sure if I have an original or a clone...
