I asked my openpli friend, he said that the card reader worked up to version 7.0, but since version 7.1 and higher the card reader no longer works in the OpenPli image.
It is assumed that a driver is missing
simply copied /lib/modules/3.14.28/extra/bcmlinuxdvb.ko from openpli 7.0 if possible to the same folder of openpli 9.3 and all the cards are correctly read from internal reader.
Works perfect the Reader and Tivusat on the OpenPLi 7.3star from Japhar Team.

The problem is not the image but the driver, you have to check if sny driver fir that box supported your tuner, if nonevof them then you box will never be compatible with it.

As told, they stopped, Forum closed and no new images since the last release few months ago. They point now the Forum address to the image download page.

If you change the sim of your box to Japhar, your box will the work with SSL89J from Japhar and latest drivers... your actual provlem is that your sim is too old and is now since years unsupported... get a Japhar sim to use latest software, images, drivers and SSL89.

I have seen this problem before with dm500v2.
Send the box to an approved dreambox dealer, they can fix this.
There are approved dreambox dealers in most countries.
It just depends of how much it will cost...

There were never a DM500HDv2 clone.
So IT is an original. You can glas the sdl88 or ssl89 to the box.
As i wrote try a new Power Splly / PSU, as it seems to have difficulties to write to the flash chip. The SSL you see with ??? is the one the JapharFlasher loads into the RAM of the box, this then allows to write into the flash chip.There is 2 possible cases... the PSU doesnt gives enough power / Amp to the box to write the flash or the flash chip (or the power to that chip) is defective.
The box is 100% potentially working, if its only a PSU problem its easy to solve, if its related to the flash chip then contact Johnny, the hardware DM Guru.Codehttp://jb8a8f8.comEmo

No the DreamUp/JapharFlasher load their own paththru ssl that works on all boxes. Then from that basis you need to flash the ssl.nfi file, but as these doesnt exist (in fact yes but you need to get them from japhar forum), its just good to flas an image that includes the ssl (allimages have inside the ssl).

There are newer versions. This image detects mutiple tuners, you seems to have a special tune so be more precise on your hardware configuration.
Dual sat tuners are perfectly recognized, as well single tuner x 2 slots...
So give screenshots and exact configuration you have, 8, 16 tuners ?

Installed on GigaBlue HD Quad Plus. Image has an error. No program (picons missing) on the LCD display (empty).
In standby time very, very small. How can you change that?
lcd display works perfectly with other images.
This is something that we have to fix and we didnt found the exact reason of the LCD behavior yet not having such hardware its a little more difficult to debug.

You can try to change the links on the opkg files, to try to do the online update,

this must be done on all files on /etc/opkg folder
Then reboot the box and apply online update, and cross fingers hoping it works (and give us your feedback).

There is no Clone DM500HDv2, so yes it's for the Original DM500HDv2
