For your box you can no problem upgrade to Japhar,
Japhar Team was born after Ferrari Stopped, to keep our Ferrari boxes updated to newest images, so you can easily just replace the old unsupported sim by the Japhar and then you can install all Ferrari images as well as all new Japhar images for DM800HDse V1 in your box.

Check then with Johnny, but first check the software side before touching the hardware, perhaps use the old Ferrari sim and reflash the Japhar Sim and try again, as explained in the Japhar Support forum.
