Just the most important thing, as you have an original box with A2P Sim, be sure that you Flash ONLY Original Software to that box.

All other things are same for all boxes, like flashing via Browser, DreamUp/JapharFlasher, etc etc...

You need to find out which dev is used for the hdd, it seems to not be the sda2, but could be sda1 ?

can be sda1 and sdb1, sdc1, etc, like /dev/sda1 for /hdd

You could, but will have to move all files from the USB Stick into your hdd, and be sure that the flashexpander files location are seen as same as before (you can give the same end point /media/hdd to the hdd and to the usb).

Try to find some linux tool (on a PC) that scans the HDD sector by sector to see if the formatting was not with erasing / emptying the content... but I would doubt you find something left.

As there is mostly Zero support for DM500HD boxes as yours based on Sim2 Sim 2.10 (as well as Sim2 closed 3 years ago), the best is really to change the sim to one that has still support.

So move on a new sim, and get all images you want, including NonSoloSat, OpenBlackHole, DE-OpenBlackHole, BlackPole, OpenPli 6, OpenPli 6*, etc...

So definitely swap the old Sim2 2.10, to the new Japhar DM500HD Sim. And get all this...

Try with another image and try another 5 Amp 12 V adapter, if you have installed an HDD, remove it for the tests.

Be SURE you use the PSU that was provided with the box, that is 5 Amp... and not the old PSU that you used with your precedent box... often users do this way, and keep the PSU on the box, without replacing the old one as well...

Concerning the sim, as it's a clone you will have the Chinese Sim 2.30 inside, naturally if you want more support and a much larger list of images available, probably a switch to Japhar Sim could help. There is no "original" sim card for DM900UHD, they use only a chip that WILL and IS NOT COMPATIBLE with the hardware of the DM900UHD clone... only way to switch would be the Japhar Sim for you.

First of all check your sim, then when you know which sim you have, select the image for that sim from the Team who released your Sim.

- Sim2

- Estar

- A8P (Clone from China)

- A8P from Original box from Dreambox

Naturally the image MUST be for your sim, then you will not get anymore the errors you tell you are getting always.

You can install any image from Ferrari DM800HD section, first flash the SSL84F (or SSL88F etc), then flash the image you want.

SSL bootloaders are flashed thru the WebInterface, as the images.

If your RS232 chip/port is dead, then the only thing you have to be careful with is to flash the right SSL for your sim card. But YOU CAN replace and upgrade the SSL (compatible with the sim in the box) to a newer version no problem.
