while.. on my dreambox one all ok now

    https://www.linuxsat-support.c…ons-foreca-3-3-5-all-deb/

It still crash on my dm800se. I guess the problem is that I have a py2 image . I solved myself installing version 3.2.6 and replacing it with Foreca-3.2.9-27Dec2024-1610.tgz by tar xvf Foreca-3.2.9-27Dec2024-1610.tgz from root

    Thank you !!

    Hi ,

I'm using debian 8.11 and trying to unpack and repack a dm800se image on my pc .

I have downloaded "new-script-unpack-repack-nfidump-by-marwen-rar" and followed the posted instruction.

I used to have issue with unpack before, but the issue was solved by installing "mtd-tools" packages on my debian 8 machine

Below the output of the unpacking of a clean OpenAtv-6.3-dm800se image:

    root@WORKGROUP:~/E2# ./unpack-nfi.sh

    extracting secondstage and version

    machine type: dm800se

    extracting secondstage.gz ......... done

    All unpacking tasks is finished!

    extracting boot and root

    >>>>>> nfidump 0.4.1 by gutemine <<<<<<

based on code from tmbinc, noggie and others

    extracting dm800se nfi image ...

    extracting boot.jffs2 from nfi ...

    extracting boot from boot.jffs2 ...

    extracting root.jffs2 from nfi ...

    extracting root from root.jffs2 ...

    >>>>>> nfidump finished <<<<<<

    which is perfectly fine.

Then I have tryied o repack it to a new image but I got problems with the "buildimage phase".

Below the output of the pack-nfi

    root@WORKGROUP:~/E2# ./pack-nfi image newnfi.nfi

    making boot.jffs2

    making root.jffs2

    buildimage newnfi.nfi

    ./pack-nfi: 32: ./pack-nfi: ./buildimage: not found

    root@WORKGROUP:~/E2#

As you can see I got the error "./pack-nfi: 32: ./pack-nfi: ./buildimage: not found"

I can find the two file "root.jffs2" and " boot.jffs2" in the image directory.

I am a linux beginne but It seamed to me that It cannot find the file (command) "buildimage" so I've also copied the file "buidimage" with 755 attrib in /bin, /sbin, /usr/bin and /usr/sbin and I also have it in the E2 directory.

I've then run the followin g test by modifying line 32 of pack-nfi as

./buildimage $brcmnand --arch .... and I got the following error:

    ./pack-nfi: 32: ./pack-nfi: ./buildimage: not found

buildimage $brcmnand --arch .... and I got the following error:

    ./pack-nfi: 32: ./pack-nfi: buildimage: not found

/root/E2/buildimage $brcmnand --arch .... and I got the following error:

    ./pack-nfi: 32: ./pack-nfi: /root/E2/buildimage: not found

/usr/bin/buildimage $brcmnand --arch .... and I got the following error:

    ./pack-nfi: 32: ./pack-nfi: /usr/bin/buildimage: not found

/usr//buildimage $brcmnand --arch .... and I got the following error:

    ./pack-nfi: 32: ./pack-nfi: /usr/buildimage: not found

So I think the error I got is misleading as the file is clearly present on the directories and with the right privileges . SIt looks like to me that the problem I have is with the "buildimage" binary itself.

    Any advice ?

Can you pls. attach a proved working buildimage file

    Thanks

    Regards

Hi, I need help to get my motor dish to work with scr (unicable) lnb.

My decoder 1 is a dm800se. I have set it up to work with a motorized dish with USALS d with a legacy lnb. The cable from the decoder 1 is attached to the motor and then from motor out to the lnb. Whit this configuration every thing is fine.

My lnb has a SCR input and two legacy output. The above configuration works fine when the output of the motor is attached to a legacy input of the lnb.

Now I need to use the SCR input of my lnb because I need to attach decoder 2 that uses channel 1 & 2 of the SCR. THe dish is set at 13.2° Hotbirt satellite. I have connected the output of the dish motor to the lnb scr input. I have also set up a splitter (dc pass in one direction only ) so that I can have decoder 1 e decoder 2 using the same disch cable.

I also have changed the configuration of decoder 1 to use channel 3 of SCR and decoder 2 to use channel 1 & 2 of SCR.

Both the decoder are working ok with the motor dish set at 13.2 East.

Decoder 2 has only Hotbird channel settings, while decoder 1 has the motorized channel settings.

With this configuration the motor is not working anymore and I cannot get any other channels on other satellites besides Hotbird. If 1 on my decoder I switch to a channel that is on Astra for example I get 0% signal. I also have checked and confirmed that the dish is not moving at all.

What Have I done wrong ?

How can I get my syten working ?

    for giorbak...

Very intersting I can give a try

I'm not using any multiboot plugin so I cannot tell much about MultiMiniBoot

I use a small size usb 2.0 pen (8 or 16 gb) . I'm not sure if the Dm800se firmware works ok with bigger size usb pen. I never tried.

It works ok with mbr with 10 partitions or more.

I use use the following partitins on my usb pen (I have internal hdd shown as sda)

    1) vfat 32 mb -> primary -> shown as sdb1

    2) linux-swap 512mb -> primary -> shown as sdb2

    3) ext4 1gb -> logical -> shown as sdb5 -> for the first image

    4) ext4 1gb -> logical -> shown as sdb6 -> for the second image

    and so on

with that I can run any kind of image of any size (provaided that is for dm800se)

here is how I do it without using any multiboot plugin.

    1) Go to a linux computer (or use your drembox with eparted) an make at leas 2 partitions , the first should be 32 mb and the second big enough to contain the whole image ( I use 1GB) . Format the first one as vfat and the second as ext3 or ext4

    2) Take your nfi image and decompress it and copy it to the second partition of your usb pen. Copy the boot dir contents to the vfat partition

    3) edit the "autoexec_dm800se.bat" in the vfat partition and change the second line of the file in

    "/boot/vmlinux-3.2-dm800se.gz root=/dev/sdbx rootdelay=10 rw console=ttyS0,115200" (without the quotes)

Be aware that the "sdbx" should be changed in either "sda2" (if you do not have internal hdd" or in to "sdb2". If you add a third partition and you add another image and you wont boot that one , copy the boot content of that image into vfat and change sdbx in sda3 or sdb3. (and so on)

    4) modify the bios of your dreambox to boot from usb (if you do not know how to do it just google it )

I f you have done everything correctly it should boot the image in the usb pen

Please note that it does not matter what image you have in the flash.

I made up some simple scripts to be able to switch from one image to the other without doing the manual changes

the latest is cccam enigma2-softcams-cccam-all-images_2.3.9-r4-RAED_OE2.0_all.ipk is stable for vu ultimo4k with blackhole???itried r0 and has a lot of freezing

Sorry, but there's one thing I do not understand.
If cccam just freezes, why keep at it.
Try another cam, I can recommend enigma2-plugin-softcams-ncam-revcam_12.4_all. I experience it as the most stable as of today.

Not sure if the latest version soved this issue I haven' t tried yet. but her is my findout.

No issue on Zgemma h9 combo (openPli & OpenAtv)

no issue on dm800se (OpenPli 7.2 Only)

    Freezse issue on dm800se (OpenAtv 6.4 & 7.3)

Similar behaviour I found with the latest Oscam Icam 726-798 .

    Hi mr piterfree.,

after additional test I find out that the issue descrived in post #2 is present only when I attach an usb dvbt pen. I have three of them from different brands but they all behave the same way.

When I attach the usb dvbt and boot the system I got the internal sat tuner issue. Instead the USB DVBT tuner is working ok. Obliusly bootting the DM without the dvbt pen attached brings the internal sat tuner back to live.

I tried the same thing on OpenAtv 6.4 and I have no issue with this image.

Issue: remote control does not work anymore when entering in player mode

    - Box: dm800se original

    - Images from OpenPli 10.2 to OpenPli 12.3 (working ok on OpenPli 7.2 and on OpenATV 6.4, and 7.3)

    - Full image installation on usb pen. Boot from usb (no usage of flash image)

    - IPTVPlayer (zadMario) installeation with wget -q "--no-check-certificate" https://gitlab.com/zadmario/e2…e2iplayer.sh?inline=false -O - | /bin/sh

    - xxx axtivation with e2ipl_xxx_inst_deinst.hidden.sh script

Tried on OpenPli 10.x , 11,x and 12.x (all having same issue)

Tried on OpenPli, 7.x an OpenAtv (all ok)

Issue: after selecting a vide to play and hit ok and video starts to play , there is no response to the remote controll. Is not possible to abort the video in play with "esc" or to make forward or reverse jumps. you have either kill exteplayer3 or just to wait the end of the video to regaiin box control.

Please find attached the debug log. I killed exteplayer3 to regain control.

    Hi Mr. Lululla

I have tried last version of your panel om a OpenAtv 6.3 dm800se and it is not working . The plugin installation is ok but when I select a item from the panell list if say "wait downloading" but nothing appears as result of the selection even after long time. I tried on a fresh OpenAtv 6.3 installation with nothing else installed.

It works ok on Open Atv 6.4 and 7.3 so the issue is OpenAtv 6.3. I think it has to be with sone dependencies not ok

you can find a n enigma2 debug log here https://pastebin.com/6jc8QiCS . The plugin selectio should be from line 1728

I' m not an expert but the only thing can see is " error: HTTP Error 403: Forbidden" in line 1731.

    Any suggestion is appreciated

    Thanks for your great work

    Thanks for the reply.

I tried on A8p box and everything seams to be ok.

For the clone, I have to say that not everything of your replay is clear to me but that depends on my little knoladge.

Please let me know if I understood correctly:

    1) "you have to turn it off and resend..2* ssl 84D" You are that when I install additional plugin to your image some or them might have reinstalled the second stage for the original box and, as a consequence, the channal list daes not look ok with the tuner. So what I have to do to fix it is to reinstall the sin2 secondstage to have the issue fixed (so I need a "secondstage _sim2_84d.ipk" or how can I do that with the bin or nfi version or ? )

obviously the box starts ok and i do not get error "no CA found" because Flash image is not effevted since everyyhing running is on the usb pen.

    Correct ?

    2) the Vhannibal 1.4 can fix my issue without reinstolling the sim2 secondstage ?

    Just some additional infos.

I use multiboot. I have OpenAtv in flash and configured the bios to boot from usb first partition . The first partition of my usb pen is formatted in Fat16 and conteins all the file of the boot directory of the image i want to run. on a second partition I have the full image. The autoexec_dm800se.bat in the vfat partition is modified to poit to the second partition of my usb pen that contais the full image. In this way I'm sure that I run kernel and driver of the original image. In this way I can run my image as it is in flash but wit hout the memory limitation.

I tried the pen I prepared for the sim2 box, the one that was not working anymore on my sim2.1 box, on my dm800se a8p , Everything is warking fine.

So the issue for the 2.1 box is probably due to an updatre of some modules that brokes the consistency with the sim2.10 .

I think Mrlu can provide a patch for this.

please let me know if you need additional information tha i can provide to help

    Hello mrlu.

I tried the 12.2 and 12.3 clone build on a dm800se sim 2.10 single tuner.

They both sims to load and work ok, but as soon i download and install a packet from the repository it updates some files and the sat tuner is not working any more.

Tuner is present and looks ok, but if you select a channel you get an error of not compatible tuner configuration and the channel list became grey ghost.

If you do a satellite scan it does not start the scanning and it finish immidiately with o channel found.

I have a dm800se A8p trial tuner as well I haven't tried on it yet but I believe should be no problen on that

do you have a fix for it ?

    Thankyou for your incredible work!!

    Hello mr piterfree.

    I tried both DM 800SE_OpenPli-12.2_ssl 84D_AU_piterfree and DM 800SE_OpenPli-12.2_ssl 84_AU_piterfree on a dm800se sim 2.10 decoder.

They both sims to load and work ok, but as soon i download and install a packet from the repository it updates some files and the sat tuner is not working any more.

Tuner is present and looks ok, but if you select a channel you get an error of not compatible tuner configuration and the channel list became grey ghost.

If you do a satellite scan it does not start the scanning and it finish immidiately with o channel found.

do you have a fix for it ?

    Hi,

    Great job !!! .

    you said:

    "when a image boot

    a) boot with vmlinux that is on DREAM-BOOT , with /lib/modules/ that is on image in OMB or ROOT

    b) this vmlinux with modules MUST BE from the same compile-build image base from pli or openatv

    c) not possible ,for example, to boot if vmlinux on DREAM-BOOT is pli and modules on multiboot image is from openatv or the opposite

    d) possible to boot image base pli, with vmlinux - modules from openatv or the opposite"

    That is clear.

If I understood correcly the booting process, vmlinux is first booted from "Vfat" partition an then the process jump to sdx2 "ext3" partition when you have an external flash image which must have the OMB plugin installed. The OMB task will be responsible of booting the image seleted from the omb menu using the proper vmlinux and modules. If this is the case?

In principle I need to change the vmilux in the DREAM-BOOT only if I decide to change the image in the "external flash" if needed . Is this the case ?

I didn't like omd in flash image because the booting process is much longer and because the writing of vmlinuz on the flash not always work correctly. I didn't like other Multiboot pluging like Italyboot (which is what I was using mostly) because of some incopatibility with newer image that creates issue with samba or OpenVpn.

So I 'm actually using an "homemade" usb-boot in which each image in store in a partition of the usb pen. I use a script to boot a different image. Basically this script copies the Boot content of the selectet image to the "vfat" partition. The "autoexec_dm800se.bat" is of course modifiet to point to the partition of the select image. In This way I've solved all compatibility issue,
