Why not just add a channel list like catseye, saves all the time of scanning.
ok m8 will try that now I just want to get 15.8
-
I have now downloaded my satellite list and in Transponders you can see the 5 I picked but when I go to Automatic Multisat Scan 15.8 is missing?
-
I am setting a Dreambox 500 up for a m8 and want to put my Satellite.xml list in but the image I downloaded (Nemesis 4.4) won't let me delete the satellite list that's in there now I was trying to delete with DCC.

So basically non of the emu's up date the card?
No M8 I had to take the cam out out then put it back in for it to update.
-
Yep I can shed some light, I did have my dm500s running my tring card Tringset image inside but I had to put it into my conax cam then into my TM15CI to update it every month. I have now moved on to VU Duo with the "Mgcamd + Oscam" update installed but on Saturday I noticed that my Tring was sound only so I had to pull the Conax cam out of my Duo then put it back in to Receive a picture (this must have updated the card)

Tring is now 11283 V

I have scanned and found these but nothing on?

Tring cards are supposed to require updating when does this happen just checking that my auto updating has worked.

I`ve made a satellites.xml file for you, ftp to /var/etc then reboot.
sorry m8 it's done the same with this file you have sent when I go to transponder scan all are there except 15.8
-
You have not said which receiver you are using.
Enigma1 - /var/etc
Enigma2 - /etc/tuxboxDreambox 500 enigma1

I have just downloaded a new Satellite XML File from the internet (the one from the forum is not working) and picked 0.8e,13e,15.8e,19.2e and 28.2e when I put the file in Var/Etc rebooted but when I look the 15.8 is missing? help would be appreciated.

as ten has stated . create a swap file on a usb stick
new2
What I can't get my head round is I have a HDD plugged into the usb at the back of my Duo so you want me to use the front usb point and put a usb stick in?
Can I ask what does the swap file do?
-
Press blue then yellow to bring up system info, look at the ram in use, remove any unnecessarily plugins & add a swapfile if you dont already use one.
Manually Creating a Swapfile on VU+DUO/SOLOWhen I do a swap file do I change USB to HDD if that is what I use to store back up ect
Then, set up a linux swap area
Code:
mkswap /media/usb/swapfile -
