    Hi,

Like the title says mytube player doesn't work properly it finds and plays videos fine but after a video when it asks are you finished yes can't be selected and the menu stays on the screen. Eventually I have to restart my receiver via telnet or webif.

I've found Vix 2.4 to be really good so far, does anyone have a working youtube plugin they can recommend?

    Thanks.

I still had problem seeing my ntfs partition on this and also in the latest release my wifi dongle wasn't recognised. Vix 2.3.204 works a treat though.

Same here with 2 dongles, one not recognised and the other worked once then stopped and won't work again.

Neither original vu+ dongles, both ralink.

I really like 1.7.4 but can't connect it to the internet any other way, if anyone has a fix please post :D

If your freind is not as PC savy as you are mate, "LIKE ME " Oscam to read your card combined with CCcam to share is a good option as CCcam is so user freindly. Also Oscam can read not just pick tv, but HD and 3D channels can clear fine too. Using CCcam to read a *** uk card is just not practical especially with increasing HD channels I think there's over 40 now.

Oh and the fact you can buy a cheap HD reciever for under £70 it's all good :@)

It's not even that he's not great with pc's, it's that combined with being a pain in the arse for messing with things. My first attempt at a server was destroyed when I left him overnight with it. I could've strangled him lol.

I'll let you know how i get on with oscam when I get the chance, thanks for the advice guys.

thanks for that, I was actually trying to remember what I had to remove earlier

Without knowing the full details its impossible to say what the problem is but i think a fresh install of Oscam/CCcam would be a big step in the right direction mate.

Yea, I might try one of the autoinstall scripts on the current ubuntu installation remotely. Seems like the smart move. Thanks.

Thanks for the reply. I have absolutely no idea what he's doing with the server, he knows to put in the boxkey. I thought we would be getting sly1 etc but not the movies & sport without the boxkey, at the minute we get nothing.

It seems to work for a random, short, amount of time when the server is restarted. I'm not really sure what that narrows it down to.

I did notice that he might still be running that old server together with the new one, from the same ip, using the same port for cccam. So the two no-ip.com addresses will be redirecting to his ip, does that mean the two cccam servers will conflict somehow?

I'm already looking at the tutorials by yourself and others Forum Gateway - Powered by DnP Firewall might get the chance to do that at the weekend.

    Hi,

I set up a linux cccam server for a friend a while back but he got himself a new package and a new sly card which doesn't seem to be updating through cccam. I put cccam 2.3.0 on the server, previously I set cccam up on a laptop for him which died, it was 2.2.1 and seemed to update fine, but that was with the old card.

He told me the card is different to the previous standard white one, and he keeps having to put it into the sly box to update. I'm not sure if it's the card, the cccam version or the cfg file?

I tried adding emm rights to some clients to allow the card to update:

    F: Username Password 2 0 1 { 0:0:2 }

But that seems to have done nothing. Can anyone give me some advice please, I have remote access to the server but I can't get a look at the card itself for a few days. I'm hoping it can be fixed remotely.

Hi,I have a similar problem with the usb hard drive.Although I can't go into device manager without the box crashing, therefore can not mount the hard drive.I am using VTI 3.2,I am wondering if I updated glass system utility this might solve my problem as well.So what do I do with the glass system utility file or can I download the plugin from the vti server?

I've been trying different images and the latest VIX one seems to be the best for me, also open AAF seemed alright too.

If you have the same problems maybe you could try those?

Well.... it came back, bloody boot loops and green screens. I've switched to open aaf image now and that seems more stable except the ECM times in cccam are ridiculous compared to blackhole images, anyone else have this problem?

Flash a new image then it should be good as new mate.

Thanks for the reply, sorry I just realised I made it sound a bit like I'm stuck in bootloop. That's not really the problem it's just that when I flash an image I always end up back to the bootloop sooner or later when I use a usb hard drive. I've tried various BH images.

After a bit of googling it seems people think it might be that I need to update glass system utility, I'll be so annoyed if it's that simple. I've flashed and fiddled about 20 times trying to fix this.

    Hi,

I was hoping someone could offer a bit of advice. I've had my vu+ solo running for a while and never been able to use a usb hard drive with it properly.

Basically everything works fine, then I insert a usb hd and setup crossepg or mount a drive for timeshift and it'll eventually result in a boot loop where the receiver restarts to the point of being ready to use then green screen and repeat. Usually disconnecting the usb drive resolves the loop and the receiver will start alright. Except this time it seems to be stuck in bootloop no matter what.

Sometimes it will work for a while only to find it hung the next morning on the channel it switches to for updating crossepg during the night. I plugged the hd into my laptop to reformat and found it said it was write protected even though there is no switch, a second attempt allowed me to format it. That leads me to believe it's the usb drive going to sleep or going write protected, I've set it no never sleep. This has happened across several BH images.

Any ideas on how I troubleshoot this, I have tried a portable usb drive through a powered hub and a small usb stick. The current green screen error is "entry for 28.2? not in rotor table found I go to xx?" it seems unrelated to usb.

Any ideas would be great, thanks!

BlackHole epg and crossepg are both epg plugins, use one or the other, using both at the same time will cause a conflict sooner or later.

I use crossepg with opentv providers which works perfect and updates itself everyday.

Cooltvguide can be accessed from extensions menu, hold blue button for a few seconds.

Excellent thanks. Sorry to keep leeching information out of you lol.

How do I disable the bh epg? I don't see any options to remove it?

    Hi,

I've been trying to get my epg's working with vu+ solo and blackhole 1.7.1. I'm using the *** / tring backup image from this forum which includes cooltvguide, crossepg and blackhole epg.

I found this guide on here: How To Setup CrossEPG and Black Hole EPG Settings - which is great but I'm still having a few problems.

Can someone please explain what these three things do? It sounds really stupid, I set up the blackhole epg and it worked (for a while), but where exactly does the crossepg come into it? I haven't even seen anything relating to cooltvguide except for in the blackhole green panel which has settings for it.

Any info would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks.

Yea you're totally right, I would have a wired connection going around the house if I could.

    network cable > homeplugs > wireless N > wireless G

I literally just changed to a cheapo chinese wireless N adapter with a hilarious directional antenna that looks like a little satellite dish, the ecm time has halved and not a breakup yet. Bargain!

I agree it is my internet connection, but virgin xl is pretty good. It's likely to be the wireless router or usb dongle - just incase it helps anyone my belkin F5D7050(v3) isn't great with the vu+ solo.

I may as well try to get the smargo reader as fast as possible and try some homeplugs. Also maybe pickup an omnikey reader to try in the future. Thanks everyone.
