I've deleted the skin a long time to try again damage the operation did not succeed....
now I installed skin ver 2.39 one more time and try again but update did not woking When activating update ON and save with green bouton next restarte enigma2 -
2- open FroidSetup plugin and check update control(blue button)...
3- test autoupdate off...does the update icon work...
yes update work with (blue button)... but now There is no update because I use the version 2.4
yes sknv ver 2.40
If you want to try again, i can remove skin and test again .????

after when to update skin to ver 2.38 get's crush Like every time....
I deleted file setup froid and sent file froid setup 2.2
it work perfect but it remained showing ver 2.38 to secreenshoot

intalling skin e2restart...and opened default(or current) skin... this is not error...
this is required for auto update, for ipk to be installed correctly and for plugin...
I guess...Selecting froid skin auto during skin installation does not work in you...
let's do this later...i removed this...
now select Froid skin...
note1 : this skin for test ...I created a test location on github...
note2 : Some parts of the plugin are under test ...I fixed the errors
we'll test two things ;
1- autoupdate off ( in FroidSetup plugin) (default off)
When infobar closes, there should be an "update skin icon" in the upper left corner...
2- autoupdate on
(autoupdate work in stb at boot, e2restart, restart, deepstandby(in opening) )
save(green button)...and...
test with e2restart...
new v2.40 should be...
new openatv 6.3 installed

yes - openatv by default stupidly have the option
Crash at skin error for debug reasons. Yes (it should be no)
Any error on a skin when loading up will crash your box. Causing an endless boot loop.
As you seem to be going in an endless cycle of loops, I am thinking this might be a reason.
It might not be. But you should definitely turn that crash option to no.

I haven't had time to check this skin, but are you aware there is an option in openatv.
Menu > setup > system > log settings >
handle python crashes : NO
Crash at skin error for debug reasons : NO
It might help your cause.

when open openmultiboot Gets crash but when don't install this skin openmultiboot work normal and open to chose any images
me too, I use openmultiboot...no need to reinstall image...ftp connect....delete /usr/share/enigma2/Froid folder...
test with install new image...for now I can't think of anything else...methinks this problem is only in your stb
