Maybe the problem results from the fact that this image is PNG not JPEG.
But I just checked on OpenPLI this image decode correctly.
To check image type the header form file should be take not file extenstions.
So, if you know that the problem is with some PNG files you can change option in IPTVPlayer to allow only JPEG file:
"Allowed format of thumbnails" "jpeg"
and remove all IPTVPlayer icons cache.
IPTVPlayer will not download this image again because PNG will be not allowed.

You can disable thumbnails in IPTVPlayer configuration as temporary solution.
Please provide this file:

So, there will be possible to check if this is some kind of special file. But for sure even if this file
/hdd/IPTVCache//.iptvplayer_icons_1518367773.496602/8ec8e964454eaeb6ad57ae2230ac1c88.jpg
is corrupted Enigma2 should not crash. It should return error. So, you should report this problem to your Enigma2 distribution developers.
Your Enigma2 will also crash when you try to open this image in the picture player outside of IPTVPlayer. This will show you where the bug is.

I just checked and these links are working, so you must have local problem.
Please provide debug logs. At first you must enable debug logs in IPTVPlayer configuration.
Configurre IPTVPlayer -> Debug logs "yes, to file /hdd/iptv.dbg" (almost last option on list)
Then reproduce your problem trying play several movies and provide file /hdd/iptv.dbg.

Also make sure that you use last version of IPTVPlayer.
The last version is "2018.02.10.04". In very old version 2018.01.28.XX there was bug which was fixed after 2 hours.
I you use this version then you need to made update.

So, what crashed? Enigma2 with Blue Screen or with Green Screen? Or you have message that host crash?
I checked your logs and it does not look like host crash.
If Enigma2 crash then please provide logs from Enigma2 crash or make photo of Blue/Green Screen and provide it.

I just tested BBC IPLAYER on vu+ solo2 , no problems at all , it's working perfectly ,altho some thumbnails are missing from some subfolders
Which thumbnails? From which folders?

how folder i musst make the folder IPTVPlayer and setup.py and setup_translate.py

A user reported problem on Mutant HD51.
Plugin is crashing on BBC Iplayer
I tested on Openvix Developer 5.1 014.010 on a mipsel receiver
It also crashed
But what crash?
Enigma2 or plugin? If you got GS/BS then you need provide crash log from Enigma2.
In your log I do not see crash of plugin.

It is possible that @gestapo35370 has local problem, but he must check first in web browser to make sure that this is not ISP problem.
If not and he will provide example links I will be able to check if they are working for me.
Then I can take further actions. I will will be able to reproduce the problem on given links then I will fix links extractors for problematic hostings or I will ask @gestapo35370 for debug logs if same links will work for me.
So, @gestapo35370 must first check in the web browser.

I am not asked about KODI I asked about web browser. Each this service have web address.
Let check in web browser.
Then provide several examples links from each service which are working in browser but not in IPTVPlayer.
So, I will be able to check.

I checked this service and at not it is not possible to add because their protect links with google ReCaptcha v2 with security level.
So, there is not possible to handle this protection out site of web browser.
You can ask admins of https://www.tugaflix.com/ to change security level of Google ReCaptcha widget to allow solve it without javascript.
Then IPTVPlayer will be able to show you recaptcha widget to solve it.

pythonX.X it is source code it will be compiled to python2.7 on your STB so it will need more space after compilation (source code + compiled files)
