    Looking for a bit of advice. For a few years I've been running a cccam server (DM500C) sharing my 0963 card to me, my FIL and my BILs - a total of 4 clients. A few weeks ago I changed ISP from **y to another. I set up my new router to work with the DNS and for that evening (1st day of new ISP) everything worked fine.

    Didn't watch TV for the rest of that week and my FIL mentioned that his TV stopped working 'earlier in the week'. I checked mine and that too was duff both showing as NOK on the E1 Dm500 server url:16001. Entitlement were until mid jan and both were showing as active clients.

    I've then tried popping the card into a spare DM500s running C15.1d with a live feed from the satellite & using the cccam file from my server and the pay channels do not clear, but the FTA channels do. [incidentally entitlements have also since updated during the time the card has not cleared channels]

    I've now replaced the image on the DM500s with the one found here: http://linuxsat-support.com/sh…-SlyUK-amp-Irish-Bouquets. Rescanned for channels and again I clear only FTA.
    Q1: Should this clear premium channels if I am just using the box as a standalone?

    Otherwise I know that there seemed to be a reasonable number of people on here who needed to re-pair their cards. The card is registered against a HD box that I've not put back in since before they did all the pairing and I know re-pairing to that box is a no-no. I also have Thompson HD box that I bought a couple of years ago that has laid completely idle 'just in case'.
    Q2 Should I call up customer services and re-pair to the Thompson box or
    Q3 Buy myself a non hd box from ebay and then contact CS to match to that box?

    Thanks in advance

    I have a DM500c operating as a cccam server and have the common problem of 'hourly' freezing on the clients.
    ECM times on my CLient box is 0.114s.
    F lines are 'plain': F: login password 1 0 1 { 0:0:1 }
    Emms on the server are as below

    I understand that blocking the HD channels entitlements will improve things but I cant find out how to do this unless I use Oscam/Cccam on the server - but I only have cccam. Also it it worth blocking b736, b846, b8d2, and b968 as I dont need them.

    Any thoughts welcome!

    Yeah it's sly - so Server:
    SERVER LISTEN PORT : 60208
    SMARTCARD CLOCK FREQUENCY : /dev/sci0 357000
    BOXKEY : /dev/sci0 xx xx xx xx
    F: login password 1 0 1 { 0:0:1 }

    and client
    C: 192.168.0.254 60208 login password
    [nothing else?]

    Bah - still doesn't work (and cccam is definitely 'on' the client)

    I've got it working through 12000 which will do for now

    Afternoon all.

    OK I’m confused – I got a bit lost with setting up Oscam, so I thought I would revert back to cccam. Tried a working server and client commando backups using a dyndns address – that worked fine on my own LAN. Only problem is that I had it originally set up to work on default ports of 12000 and I dont want that. I try and change that - that’s where things get confusing to me.

    I’ve now pared things down to a basic lan share and it still doesn’t work with the following
    Server:
    #This config was created using the Dreambox Config Creator.
    #Designed & Written by B16MCC
    SERVER LISTEN PORT : 60208
    SMARTCARD CLOCK FREQUENCY : /dev/sci0 3430000
    BOXKEY : /dev/sci0 xx xx xx xx
    F: login password 1 0 1 { 0:0:1 }

    Client
    #This config was created using the Dreambox Config Creator.
    #Designed & Written by B16MCC
    SERVER LISTEN PORT : 60208
    SMARTCARD CLOCK FREQUENCY : /dev/sci0 3430000
    BOXKEY : /dev/sci0 xx xx xx xx
    c: 192.168.0.254 60208 login password

    And the screen stays blank and the The client doesn’t show on the server http://192.168.0.254:16001/clients

    Am I missing something obvious?

    Well the card works out of the box with oscam without a boxkey ID! But I'm sure you all probably knew that would happen. I'll leave it overnight and check the entitlements tomorrow.

    Otherwise do I need to worry about not having client box(es) connected - tomorrow night is the last night I can do anything before the entitlements run out.

    Once again TIA

    Sorry for teh slow reply - busy at work all day.

    Yes - its a UK *** Satellite card
    Its updated before no problem - it was running in the 500c box for a couple of years until a few weeks back - that seemed to play up recently so I put it into a 500s that I had lying spare (but not connected to dish). Historically it has always ran on cccam for server and client. It updated entitlements via the client boxes

    CAID is 0963

    Re updating via the old thompson HD box - is this no longer possible? i.e they pair those boxes now?

    Anyhow, I'll have a go understanding the oscam thing. This always worked for me before so I was curious why it would suddenly stop working

    long time lurker here. Bit concerned with my *** card. It was running on a dm500c (c15.0c) using cccam on both server and client. Spotted that it hasn't updated entitlements for a while and noticed the expiry is pretty soon (6th).

    It turns out my fatherinlaws machine (vix) wasnt clearing anyway even though mine (vix internal network) was. Ive now put the card in a 500s (c15.0c) connected to the sat feed but with no c line. It clears, but it hasn't as yet (overnight) updated the entitlements. Im going on holiday on the 4th so im concerned it will expire.

    I bought a thompson hd box a couple of months back just in case this sort of thing happens, but i dont know if it is something im doing wrong, or if there is a way of forcing entitlements from a dm500 or a e2 box. Any ideas?

    TIA
