Hi again, having had the problems above i did manage to flash my box with the latest vix image been working fine for the last 5 days but now ive noticed my epg is starting to become blank and not updating, i was updating it every other day with crossepgdownloader but thats where my problems began, does anyone know the best way to keep my epg updated without causing problems, thanks

thanks buddy, while im here would i need to download a bootloader for this image i do have the bootloader already on the box but will that just be for the vix, regards.

Hi sorry to bother you but im in trouble with my xtrend 9200 it all started lastnight when i stopped a recording on one channel so i could watch another... my xtrend crashed and its never been the same since.at first it was stuck in a boot loop then i finally got it working so i tried to do a back up of my settings and image incase i had further trouble but now im only getting the basic channels and a message saying a backup update is in progress.. i managed to get into my settings and could see all my network settings are back to 000.000.0.0, then im getting a message saying Backup Manager error timeout elapsed, hope you can help, and if so what other image could i try on the xtrend, regards

Hi, sent both commands with telnet plugged my western digital external HDD in,i can see the usb directory in /media/hdd/movie but when i click on it its empty i have loaded some movies in there to see if it works but theres nothing in there..

Hi again thanks for all your help ive not used telnet before i have connected to the box via dcc and selected telnet, would i just copy and paste what you have put in both commands in the above thread..? and if so do i send them individually. Just thought i would ask before i make a mistake also i didnt point out that i have a hard drive in the xtrend900 but just want to view my downloaded movies/series on tv through the external drive rather than plugging my laptop to the tv via hdmi all the time, thanks

No i dont have a movie directory created on the usb, not sure how i do that, i just tried to mount the usb in the mount manager but it failed.. maybe i need to reboot the box..?

Hi pressed filelist which is slightly different from the remote shown in the last thread, yellow button location and found a path /media/usb which is where i plugged in the external hard drive but get a message directory/media/usb does not exist..

Thats where my problems started tbh,i flashed the latest image then found i couldnt ftp to the box at all so i had to load my backup settings, i did notice somehow my ip address of the box has changed as well?? I have managed to get the Guide back on by restarting the box again but just have the guide and menu duplicated on screen.

Hi, Just turned the box on today and i have no guide..? also when i looked in my menu i found i have two small menus on screen im having nothing but trouble with this box lately any help appreciated.

Hi Tried to view the Xtrend 900 on the laptop tonight but keep getting an error message 405 not allowed, could this have something to do with the webinterface settings or maybe after the update i done today.. its puzzling as i can watch the box on my samsung s3 but not on the laptop, any help apprecoated.

Ah Right bud, i didnt read that other thread as it happens, but from the advice you gave me yesterday i managed to allow the untested plugins and found the 1channel,i looked again today in the extensions i noticed the icefilms plugin.. im thinking the box does an automatic search and found it. Still not sure about the root and password for the ftp for future reference but thats another day lol, thanks again bud much appreciated.

I found ichannel in the plugins which is really good thanks, ive looked at the link by Master G and have downloaded the zip file but again cannot connect to the box via ftp,i thought i used the username = root and password = alpine..? also not sure where exactly to drop the file when i have the access to the box cheers.
