    Apologies for the dumb question, but what folder can we find the "o-epg.xml" file? Tried doing a search for the file but couldn't find it.


    Also just wanted to give KiddaC a BIG thank you for this amazing skin. Perfect modern flat design and colours - exactly what I was looking for and everything is neat, clean and well-designed all round. Also, it was hard to find a skin that supports the OpenVix image, and this ticked the box. I'll be trying to change the infobar by fusing an infobar from another skin as my own little mod/project as the SlyQ style is a bit clunky for me. Other than that, this is the BEST skin I've come across. Is there a way to donate/support your works?

    Ignore my embarrassing question. Located in: /usr/share/enigma2/slyk-onyx-1080/ (for those amateurs like me). Looks even better now :) Personally I think this should be incorporated as the default into the skin.

    Guys, please continue to report that seller. The seller's clearly profiting from the hard work and time put into this skin by chababu. Not only that, if these crooks manage to get away with it, it only makes them continue these practices in the future and discourages sellers to continue to developing these skins. The more people that report, the more likely and quicker that eBay will pull the listing.

    The skin seems to work pretty well. Can see a few tweaks that could improve it but the main windows have been done very well and seems to load pretty fast. Thank you so much Chababu, you've done an amazing job.

    Haha, sorry to have accidentally introduced you to something you was unaware of, and yeh, I always have the habit of updating any threads in whatever forums whenever I find a solution for the benefit of other users searching in the future.


    I've temporarily managed to solve my issue by switching to the Openvix image. EPG loads up without any issue and in full first time round :) So it appears that my problem has something to do with the OpenATV image that I have been using all these months. The version of OpenATV I have been using is 5.1 and just recently, 5.3. I'm not sure where exactly the root of the problem lies as there is obviously something different between the Openvix and OpenATV images. Maybe the dev team for CrossEPG can have a look at this, though I'd need a pointer to the developer(s) of CrossEPG so that I can contact them. Alternatively, I can try contacting the OpenATV team but their language is German so communication will be difficult.


    I'd prefer to use OpenATV as they support my receiver but I'll be using the Vix image until I find a solution.


    Also, I don't seem to have any gaps in my EPG 1999gtv, so I'm not sure what's up with yours :/ My gaps were pretty huge with only freeview channels(?) showing EPG.

    Thanks for the reply 1999gtv. Yep, I turned off automatic refresh, automatic save and virgin epg. I think I was testing it out by setting it to 'yes' back when that screenshot was posted because setting these parameters to 'no' didn't work back then. But anyways, I can assure you the settings for automatic refresh, automatic save and virgin epg are set to 'no' and do not work. I'm looking at my settings now and it's exactly the same as the video.

    EDIT: Also wish to add that I've just tested out with another USB stick just now and the same results occur.

    First off, thank you for building such an amazing skin and the amount of time and dedication you've put into it. I didn't know that a SkyQ skin was being developed for Enigma2. Can anyone tell me if this skin is full 1080 only? I need a 720 skin but wanted to find out before installing.

    3 months later and I'm still here with this issue :) This time I'm determined to get to the bottom of this once and for all (with your help, I hope).


    Can you clarify what you mean by my settings being different to the video? My settings have been set exactly the same as the video tutorial but I still only get EPG data for some channels. I've downloaded the EPG multiple times, fully rebooted my box, made sure that the save location is set to my USB drive and ensured my settings correspond 100% as per the video but i'm still left wanting to pull my hair out. My channel list is completely up-to-date as it's set to update automatically using ABM. There's nothing else I can really find that could be wrong.


    If there's anything else you can advise me, I'd really appreciate it as I just want to get to the root of this and be done with it as I've spent too many fruitless hours trying to figure out what's wrong over many days. It feels like I've hit a brick wall. I'm eagerly waiting for any support you can give me and appreciate your time.

    Thanks for your reply Abu Baniaz and sorry for the late reply. I can confirm that the USB drive is mounted correctly. It shows up as a mounted device. The EPG location is set to media/hdd which is how the USB is mounted. Here is a screenshot of my EPG settings:



    As for the other questions:


    1. EPG listings come up as completely blank for all channels


    2. I have already tried that and even went as far as reformatting my USB drive for a fresh setup, still has not worked unfortunately :(


    3. Yep, everything is exactly set up as per the video.


    4. I can confirm there is a signal lock. Here's a screenshot:



    Hope that helps in the troubleshooting. I've tried everything in my limited knowledge to figure out what is wrong and thought it may be the servers, Would be great to find a fix if it is a local issue.

    Thanks for your reply. I'm using OpenTV Sky UK 28.2 as my EPG source. The channel names/list on my system are accurate and were downloaded using AutoBouquetsMaker. The EPG used to work perfectly fine for every single channel but it's only recently that it's been showing the EPG only for the free (maybe Freesat) channels such as BBC One, Two, ITV, Channel 4, More 4 etc. All other channels are not showing any EPG data.


    Would appreciate any advice on what may have gone wrong.

    I've not been getting the EPG working on many of the channels for some reason. The usual free channels like BBC 1-4, ITV, Channel 4, 5, More4 etc seem to get a full EPG download however the rest of the channels such as Sky One, National Geographic and every other channel are missing EPG data.


    Is anyone else getting the same problem?

  • Important safety warning to UK zgemma owners

    Thanks for sharing this. I think I have been supplied with a safe plug - the cable supplied is a 2-pin cable but a plug has been supplied which converts 2-pin to UK 3-pin plug. The fuse seems to be connected inside the plug and the earth is not insulated. Even so, I've replaced it with a spare figure of 8 mains cable that I know is safe.


    My question is, is the power brick that the mains cable connects to itself safe? Does anyone have any concerns with this? Thanks

  • OpenAtv 5.1 UK backup

    Hi Honcho,


    Sorry to sidetrack this thread, I'm trying to make a full backup of my box running OpenATV 5.1. Using the blue button and going into Software Manager>Complete Backup does not seem to work for me as I get a blue screen with a log along with a message saying the box needs to reboot because the receiver encountered a software problem. I'd like to ask how you managed to backup your entire setup and if this was done using a particular plugin?

  • How can I easily rename Picon files to reference style?

    Hi Guys,


    I have a satellite box which requires the picons to be in this format:


    Code
    0_0_0_C0_2EEC_1_2266.jpg
0_0_0_82_2B43_1_15.jpg
0_0_0_82_2BD3_0_3BCB.jpg
[etc]


    However, I've found a bunch of picons that I'd like to use on my satellite box but the picons are named in this format:


    Code
    National Geographic.jpg
Nickelodeon.jpg
BBC One.jpg
[etc]


    How can I rename the files so that it is in the reference format required by my box? Is there a converter software or tool that is available that can allow me to do this quickly? I have a few hundred picons that I'd like to use but are named in the channel name format but can't use it on my box.


    Any help and advice would be greatly appreciated.
