    I have two 4k boxes. Vu zero 4k and dinobot 4k. Both quad core.
    I always have a/v settings as 1080p at 50mhz. Auto resolution off.
    4K will still play fine.


    Just tried my dinobot at 2160. Played a 4k film. Exiting out. Slight delay from black to sat channel. But the channel loaded.
    I do have cache flush plugin installed always though.

    A/V settings at 2160 are always problematic. It has to do a lot of work with all the skins that are pretty much all designed for 1080.
    The majority of programs you watch will be 1080.
    There is just too much going on to set your box at 2160 and you get a more fluid experience at 1080.

    Also when ever you change the AV settings always best to reboot your gui.
    And if getting black screens, are reboot gui always help.

    I forget about this plugin. Then once a year perfectium pops up and tells me my plugin is broke. :smiling face:

    To fair, if it only breaks once a year, that's pretty impressive as it has no maintenance at all.


    Anyway I fixed it for you (and anyone else that still uses this plugin).


    BBC SD channels will be blank now as all BBC sd channels are now dead.

  • Bouquet ID?

    I have just seen this old post.


    Anyway to answer your curiosity.


    Bouquet makers need a unique number to create the refs to be used by epgimporter for epgs.


    When you first install the plugin, one of these unique numbers is 666. :smiling face with horns: This number not only has to be unique to this plugin, but cannot clash with other plugins or real sat refs.

    Then every playlist you add after that. This gets increased by 1 or 2 if a big playlists, so every playlist has a unique reference.


    Basically you have added a shed load of iptv since you installed the plugin. :partying face:


    If you still use jedi maker xtream, then that number is required.

    If you don't and have moved onto bmx or another bouquet maker plugin than that reference can be deleted.


    to edit the setting file you need to stop enigma2


    init 4

    make your edit

    init 3 


    BMX and Xstreamity both now use a formula on the playlist URL to calculate a unique number. So you wont see similar setting ref in those plugins.

  • My EPG Timer option buttons have no Descriptions

    You dont actually say what image or skins you are using. ( i wrote that before I even realised who started this post - my new pupil :smiling face: )


    But basically the button codes changed a few years ago.


    So depending on what image you are using.


    It could be new skins don't work as your image is too old (but I think you are using openatv 7.3)

    or It could be old skins don't work as your image is new.


    Basically all your skins live in /usr/share/enigma2/[skin name]


    Depending on the skin, all the screens will be in 1 file called skin.xml

    or if using mutliple templates then these files will be imported in skin.xml but coded in other files.


    You can edit these xml files with the correct code. But there are literally 100s of screens to go through.

    I have a simple plugin that display the screen name you are. It aids in hunting down code to change things in skins

    If you are using gutemine feed he/she not only blocks but also deletes files from other peoples plugins so they dont work. Good luck using that feed. That feed is basically a virus and you have to do a complete reflash of your image to get rid of it. You either use gutemines feed or you use other peoples plugins. You cant use both. The choice is yours.

  • Help request for Favourite TV Channels Set up

    As someone that been around these boxes a long time.
    I rarely, like never, edit the favourites list.


    To me favourites is not favourites. Its basically a bouquet (folder) of all your scans. Although it is in reality a favourites. It just has multiple uses.

    If you also are using any iptv bouquet creators, things can also get a little messy.


    You have used AutoBouquetMaker to do your scan. So they will be listed in here.

    Also in ABM, you can hide sections. like kids, religion etc. To get rid of a lot of the noise. If you have already done a scan. Hide things you dont want in AMB and rescan.

    If you have done a manual or auto scan of satellite. They will also be in here under "last scanned".


    If you really want to experiment - and do it all via your box.

    Enter channel select - Up or down button.

    Press blue button - favourites

    press menu - Add bouquet

    Create a new bouquet. i.e Test


    Then as cliahew as described above

    Scroll through your channels. Any you want to add to your new bouquet, Press menu. Add service to bouquet. Click OK on your new bouquet.

    All your favourite channels will now be in your new bouquet.
    Other people tend to delete and move stuff around in bouquets. This isn't a great idea as soon as a scan runs or an iptv bouquet maker plugin runs, then everything gets reset.

    So creating your own bouquet and copying channels into there is a better option.

    I've created https://github.com/oottppxx/en…/master/plugins/budweiser to basically audio dub a service audio w/some other stream, using gstreamer and other binaries already present in the box.

    Although not just a radio plugin, it works nicely overlapping internet radio streams over the current service audio.

    Let me know about any questions that aren't answered in the README, or any suggestions.
