Well its doable. If I use an indian font.
But it's not really doable, as the current font I use, has all west and east european glyphs.
I doubt I can find a font that has everything. And if I do find one, it will be large
I have fixed series data again.
Just looking into this font issue for Arabic/Indian languages. (as found in a lot of bollywood sections). Don't think I can actually do anything personally. But I will have a look
XStreamity v4.32
New files on post 1
active/max connections bad data - fixed
Parental control logic picking up "all" in channels like football/Fusball/Allgemeines etc. - fixed
Missing default function variables causing crashes - i.e the hide channels page - parental pin - bug mentioned above - fixed (there was a few of them)
I will keep plodding along today with some of the other things mentioned.
sky uk are easy to get :)
In fact there are quite a few sky uk picon updates this month
Well that would work. But it would be a bit of a faff. As I would have to incorporate some sort of pop up dialog to select the language.
We also use most of the main buttons you find on remotes to do all the other functions.
salee I presume your request, is similar to abu's comment. Because providers are putting in a mixture of languages in their data.
But the answer is no. TMDB requires a language flag to show that data for a specific search.
You would just have to manually switch it in settings if you want to keep changing the language. There is no simple way for me to have a language for one particular category.
In openatv I always have my settings like this. I can't comment on how other images function as I only really use openatv
If you sort VOD by "added", the names are trimmed off just leaving the year.
The various sorting involving dates seems to be not working as intended. Can you please have a look if/when you get a chance.
Edit: Screenshot added
I presume that is an arabic channel.
I keep saying this. Unfortunately xtream iptvs are all a complete mess again. Multiple free/hybrid/official software.
Its becoming a farce again. All have different data fields. So the variable that sort is using doesn't always exists.
A bollywood section I have in a provider, has a right mess of languages. Hebrew, arabic, english, Tamil, amonst many other regional languages etc.
The provider should never being do this. And enigma2 doesn't have the font capability to display all these different styles of arabic fonts.
I use openatv. The secondinfobar timeout is a universal setting. Don't know about any other images
220x132
Firstly I know lots of people use lists of hacked lines that die quickly.
And for those who dont know, yes I have a windows app where you can check iptv lines.
*NEW* IPTV Stream Checker V.3.05 Deluxe Edition by KiddaC
But It really amazes me that people leave loads of dead lines in there lists. Dead lines seriously slow down the plugin as it has to check the line exists, and then wait for a timeout to see if it loads. There is a Yellow button on playlists called "Delete". This isn't even a hard delete. It just comments it out of your playlists file.
It looks like although this is a simple task to delete dead lines, I am going to have to put in some automated deletion. For example if you load one of my iptv plugins and for example your line fails to load 5 times in a row, I am going to nuke it. ![]()
** TOY STORY SKIN ** repackaged
** NOTE THIS IS JUST THE SKIN - NOT THE XSTREAMITY PLUGIN **
For those that want my original toy story skin for their little ones. I have now packaged it up as a separate install. Its a bit too big to include in the main ipk.

A reminder people. We are here to help each other.
Just because something may be simple or make sense to you, doesn't mean it is simple and straightforward for other people.
Some people read every instruction and every post, there are others that like to just work it out for themselves. (most blokes

Everyone is different. We have various skill levels on here from experts to noobs. So if replying to posts in my absence, please do it in a constructive manner.

Everyone has to start somewhere. So no problem you asking questions. But you are correct, always best to start a new thread rather than jumping on the end of another one. If you post your thread in the wrong section, the mods will usually move it to a more appropriate section.
I will start by giving you a very simple overview. Once you got everything setup. You need to ask more specific questions.
OK the VU zero 4k is a very capable box. Its quad core, its fast, you can find multiple images to use on it.
For simplicity you are probably best using openatv image first as everything just works. Your box will probably come with openatv on it.
Other images can be a little bare bones to start with and require some knowledge to install everything you need to run certain plugins.
If you use openatv. I have a good setup guide here.
OpenATV 7.* setup guide by KiddaC
Enigma2 boxes are like little computers, where you add in the plugins to do what you require.
So for example you say you want to watch FTA channels easily.
I assume you have a satellite dish - if so it in the simplist form, scan the satellite to get your channels then you a presented with a list of channels to watch.
In a more detailed form, you would use a Autobouquetmaker plugin. Configure it to your local area, do a scan. This will present the channels in a more structured order similar to the channel list you would find on a sky box. You would then use another plugin EPGIMPORT to download the epgs. And maybe another plugin to download the picons (channel icons)
The VU zero 4k has whats called chromium2 plugin. This is an open source chromium web browser. If you have accounts you can also use it for youtube, netflix, dazn etc. As a browser though its not the easiest to use. Most people don't really use web browsers on these boxes.
As for all the other channels you want, whether dodgy channels, or kids channels, cartoons, most people would use iptv for these. Again separate plugins will be required to view these.
Once everything is setup, plugins installed, channels scanned, the viewing channels is very easy. Also there are multiple skins for these boxes. So if you want a sky theme, virgin media theme, dark theme, etc etc. There are hundreds of skins available to entertain your needs.
Enigma2 is quite overwhelming at first, because its not necessarily a plug and play box. You set it up for your needs instead.
But there are plenty of old dogs on here that will help you in your quest.
Your question is more of a separate question. I have quoted it here and will answer it there.
Zero 4k and Enigma2 Questions
Display MoreHi guys
as I am about to get a Zero 4K and know near to nothing to Linux sat boxes I have a question I would like to ask
I am not really sure about this site's policies though
On some forums if you ask some silly question in a thread, you would be asked not to hijack and to open your own. On some others it would be the opposite.. . So I start asking here. If it's not ok, mods feel free to cancel the post and nuke the account
I will start getting into the more "heavy" stuff (softacm, etc..) later on, because I really want to anyway, even if just for kicks
For the moment I would like to know which firmware and image you guys think better for my needs. There are a bunch of FTA channels I watch on a regular basis and I would like to do so in the easiest and fastest way. So switch on the box and watch them as if it was a regular sat decoder, without waiting to boot too much stuff. However some of these channels are only accessible via a tivusat card (such as Mezzo), which I will buy. So full compatibility with tivusat is required
Second thing I need a fully functioning internet browser, that will let me watch for example old cartoons for my kids, for example on /supercartoons.net. Or streamed live channels for other parts of the world via those shady sites....At the moment I have a FireTV 4k, but browsing is a b*tch, not only that, some sites or channels just won't work, so I need something more stable
thanks in advance
yep.
The question in 2024, is... is this compatible with python 2.7 ![]()
everywhere else you have imported them separately rather than one urllib trying to mimic the other python version.
That might not be the issue that kalkan raised, but that code looks wrong to me.
Request without the (s). So it will be a urllib call
I just scanned your plugin.
The imports for python2 and python3 all look ok
Maybe its this bit of code thats the problem in utils.py
def AdultUrl(url):
import sys
if sys.version_info.major == 3:
import urllib.request as urllib2
elif sys.version_info.major == 2:
import urllib2
req = urllib2.Request(url)
