carrspaints your crash log is very helpful. An error I have overlooked. This isn't a standard xtream list and just some other sort of playlist I presume.
Try uploading this file to your box and reboot your gui

there shouldn't be anything in this conversion preventing it working on vix?
-
but its too bloody hot at the moment for me to sit on my computer in the evenings and do much more on this at present
-
there are loads of screens missing. It was never going to be complete from the off. If you look at the source xml files, i have commented whats missing compared to what i normally skin for oe-alliance.
As mentioned, it was just a case of getting it working for now, by copying common screens from dreambox one/newenigma to oe-alliance. It will evolve over time.
-
openatv you will probably have to turn off crash on skin error.
It was openatv 6.4 i did my conversion on, so i know it works

Here is a few more tweaks. Fixed the epg to

Here you go. biko I have spent a couple of days converting this to oe-alliance images.
It is a bit of a lazy convert (and it still took me 3 evenings), just changed svgs, to pngs and removed or replaced some elements that aren't compatible.
Make sure if your image has the option, turn off crash on skin error.
The skin will load
There are lots of missing screens
Some screen might not have 100% the correct elements, so might soft crash, resulting in blank screens. Error will be shown in debug logs if you turn them on.
Main screen like channel select, infobars (with MSNweather), menus, setup will load fine. EPG screens need some work.
I haven't changed any of the parameters in skin.xml either. Just copied the parameters from one of my other skins. These need some tweaking.
As this is not my skin, I have never seen it in use, I don't really plan on doing anything else with this conversion.
I have set the ball rolling, other skinners or users can have a go and tweaking it and adding in the missing screens.
I have provided the file as zip file. So the files just need copying over to your box.
There will be errors, it won't be perfect, and there is every chance certain screens might fail to load or crash. I have done very little testing.7968e970.png

Are you still struggling with this or have you managed to fix it.
You are better of removing it totally if its not working properly.
Menu > Plugins > Remove Plugins > extensions > epgimport
Then ftp into your box and delete any remaining orphan files.
/usr/lib/enigma2/python/Plugins/Extensions/EPGImport
/etc/epgimport
fully reboot your box.
then in telnet/putty do an
opkg update
to make sure your feeds are up to date,
then go back into plugin menu
download plugins > extensions > epg importer.
It should be there again.
Then reboot your GUI.
If you have experience flashing boxes, why don't you create your own openatv 6.4 build instead of relying on bloated builds like wooshbuild
Full instructions are can be found in my guide I wrote
OpenATV setup guide by KiddaC -
menu > plugins > download plugins > extensions > epgimporter

My option is I use openbh as my main image as I like its multiboot option.
Then I can load any image i like onto that.
Currently I have openbh, openatv 6.4, openatv 6.5, openvix and pure2 loaded onto that multi boot testing box. -
As providers are putting sometimes 1000s of channels into their channel lists. I don't think this is a feasible option.
It's not worth the effort of coding this in for a handful of small providers. For the majority of providers the list would just be far too long to be a good user experience. -
I love it when my users tell me I am wrong. (it doesn't help that I was sat in a sunny park, answering questions via my mobile)
It shows that you are paying attention at the back of the class :)
Yes Gurman2000 you are absolutely correct.
Back up the epg.json file that lives in /etc/enigma2/jediepgxtreamif you have added your own custom sources also back up epglist.txt
Back up the epg importer files jex.egp.* that live in /etc/epgimport
-
As above
usr/etc/enigma2/epgimport

Alternatively you don't need to add them as a link
Just type the url as normal text. The forum software will convert web urls to links
i.e

your links are missing the protocol. i.e http://

openatv comes with volume adjust plugin pre-installed. There might be channels in there that have been adjusted.
Look in plugin menu. Remove plugins > Extensions (or maybe systemplugins)Uninstall volume adjust plugin.

I don't understand fully your problem.
How are you switching between iptv and satellite.
Are you just typing in a channel number, or using tv guide (epg or channel select)or are you trying to use Picture in Picture?
Cant say I have seen anything like your problem before.
As for stream types... all providers differ and its a bit hit and miss. If you build bouquets and get black screens when playing, you just got to try different stream types. Rebuild bouquets and see if they play.
My main iptv plugin i use is now my Xstreamity plugin, because you can just click a button when its playing to cycle through the stream types. You cannot do that with bouquet makers like Jedi. -
some browsers get cocky and determine what time of file it is and put a bloody extra extension on it.
It happens to a lot of people on here. All an ipk file is a zip or rar file ;)
