Did the online android update and lost the PVR function in the live TV App. Anyway to fix it?
I can go into Tv headend and start a recording and it works. It's like the Dinobot engineers left out the GUI to start a recording using the remote control. You push the record on the remote and it does nothing. Used to bring up a pop up menu to start your recording. TS record still works.
Yes, the dinobot remote isn't very good as you can hear every button click with a press. It's feels cheap. On the other hand the Mecool K3 remote is excellent. Be nice to somehow get it working with the dinobot. But, right now im happy! The box is working great along with Neflix HD. Which is really the main reason I got the thing. Hopefully it stays that way!
Thanks for finding that info. But, I can't get it to work with a Samsung remote. Nothing ever flashes and what does "weighed" mean? Never heard that term used when dealing with a remote control.
Made some progress, Seems to want old key format without group id's in the SID. Thanks for your help everyone! :sadgun: Hopefully somebody else will find my post useful.
Now I just need to get this remote control programmed to switch sources on my TV. If you know. Feel free to answer before I figure it out myself. :wtf1:
Well, I guess it's Xcas only. With that said anybody know how to get it running better? With no pixilation? E2 runs perfect w/ emu. But, it feels old and clunky. Compared to Android on the Mecool.
If you install coreelec on SD card you can get Netflix in a little better quality than the mobile app using Kodi. But, still it's nothing like the android tv version that uses hardware decoding.
I don't think your going to find anything that runs Netflix HD. It quit working back in December. Have to use mobile app now that runs SD.
Dinobot 4k plus does Netflix great in HD. But, So far satellite been all FTA. :D
I was able to FTP to this box. Found Oscam under system. Already had a key file named oscam.key. Wouldn't let me edit it for some reason. IDK anybody have this box?
Just picked up this box with the assumption it does PVU and Biss out of the box. Any guidance would be appreciated.

I'm having strange problem with my mecool k6 newcamd account 70 % channels working like a charm but remaining channels not opening
Looking into logs suggest No ecm found help me to resolve this issue

I have know idea as I waited 3 weeks for gearbest to get the K6 in stock and they never did so I canceled the order. Does your GtC use a newer Oscam?
Display MoreNetflix works standard and high quality only on Mecool K6, at least for the moment. But I doubt that it will ever be certified for Netflix. For séries it's good enough for me. Not much of a ntflixer myself.
If it is important for you, with a similar hisilicon chip and android plus openatv or enigma2, recommend checking out the Dinobot u5 mini 4K if you want an android satbox certified for Netflix. The Dinobot is twice the price than the Mecool K6 though. Other than dual boot and Netflix full support the two boxes run equally silky smooth.
The remote is indeed basic. I complement it with an air mouse. Curiosity, the same airmouse does not work on the Dinobot that has its own BT airmouse integrated with the remote.
The Mecool K6 box is all about the hisilicon chip for audio and image support. And I am very happy with it.
When you say High Quality Netflix. Do you mean 540 or 720P? Also does the K3 remote work on the K6? I went ahead and ordered one from Gear Best. Supposed to ship out next week.
Is the Supercam a updated version that does the new Hash modes or a old one like in the K3?
What does the cache ex support do?
Does it run Netflix HD? Also, how's the remote control? Looks cheaper than the K3's remote. But, maybe not?
Looks like Coreelec did a auto update on me to version 9.0.2. Didn't seem to effect anything at first. But, I don't like it. Seem to be getting some random TV headen dropped server issues. And once the PVR manager wouldn't load. Tried to load one of my backups from last month and it's still showing tvhn4.3 and Coreelec 9.02.
Is it impossible to go back?
Well, whatever came down the pipe today sucked. But, I was able to finally restore my backup by unplugging my router then restoring and then on reboot. I turned off corelec auto updates. Seems to be back to normal. Still says i'm 9.0.02. But, maybe I always was . IDK I don't use it that often.

Ok. I was trying to drag and drop. Didn't work. Had to create directory, put it in que and then hit the transfer button.
Connect the box on 2nd tv who works, set 1st setup in neutrino, then start in enigma and set refresh rate to 60hz.
After that forget neutrino, everytime when you restarting the box will be boot in enigma.

Uhd has some bugs , does not work well.
I can change it in openpli (enigma). The problem is neutrino. There's no 60hz option to choose from. So, I can't see anything while in neutrino, No picture just a blank screen and "mode not supported " message on my tv.
On the resolution. It only gives choice of 1080P 50HZ. But, there is a VF key to cycle through modes. What is the VF key exactly? Is that a key on the kiii remote? Or keyboard?

Okay, is openpli the only one that runs satellite? I went into neutrino. But, that seems like a web based feature. The other things in the menu besides android. I don't understand because it's written in Russian.
