Just wondering if one or two of you could suggest a replacement for my Amiko Alien 2+. Although the box has loads of features it's the least stable box i've ever used (i've tried it with VIX4/OpenATV and PKT) and none of them are what i would call stable. I have a budget of around 150 but if its a little more thats ok or if its less even better. I would like it to run Enigma 2 and be USALS compliant. I need at least one CI or CAM slot as i have a TNT sat card i want to use. Obviously i would like it to be OSCAM compatible but if it could also run CCAM then even better.

It also needs to be twin tuner but if it could be expanded to have a 3rd sat tuner or a dab-t tuner at a later date then that would be even better.

    Thanks in advance

    Hi

So far you guys have been great guiding me through the world of OSCAM.

I've mastered OSCAM and a SKY/TNT card as well as adding a C-Line to OSCAM. BISS however is where i seem to have hit a road block. I read that BISS is the easiest of the channels to view but its not the case for me. I've added the following to my OSCAM server file:

Do i need anything in OSCAM User files etc? I've seen some people put things in there as well as DVBAPI files etc. Every time i try this it just stops my other cards working. Could anyone point me in the direction of what to do?

Constant.cw also seems to be something i can't understand. I only want access to the BBC Channels on 27w. Could again anyone point me in the direction of what to do?

If this goes against forum rules I'm sorry and feel free to delete.

    Thanks

i'll give it ago shortly. Thanks again for your help. Multi map is displaying my coorindates as Latitude = xx.7721, Longitude = -x.xxx2 but disinter as Latitude: xx.xx17°
Longitude: -x.xxx5° and my iPhone as slightly different again. How accurate do you need to be or is a little difference ok? Finally i'm assuming i just miss the final digit off the coordinates as the box has 1 less digit to enter?

    Thanks

Thanks for your help joe. It's all working. Your a star mate !!.

I'm guessing hannibal channel listing also add all the sats automatically?

    Hi

I have a Amiko Alien2+ and a USALS motor driving a 80cm dish all being ran using VIX4.

I bricked the VIX firmware and had to re-flash the box in order to get it to boot. I need a little help re-sorting the motor out. At the moment the dish is pointing at 28.2 as thats where it was when the boxed stopped working. I followed a guide from this forum http://linuxsat-support.com/showthread.php?t=314 but now i can't see any channels or even satellites from anywhere other than 28.2. I'm guessing the guide might be a little out of date now as i can't see any option to select additional satellites.

I have a twin lab and there seems to be power at the motor because i can get the LED to flash. I know the correct longitude etc for my location.

Any help would be greatly received as I'm now desperate.

    Hi
I have an Amiko Alien 2+ running VIX4 and oscam to decode my valid Sky card (thanks to a lot of help from forum members). Is it possible to add a second card (mainly for Fransat) to scam and how would one go about it? The box has two card slots (the sky card is in the top). Can i also use the second slot or is it a case of having to hot swap the cards.

    Thanks

    Ben

If you tour sites such as eBay etc you find a variety of people selling gifts which appear to all be for the Skybox/Openbox which i believes runs Ccam?, can these be used on the Enigma2 machines with scam or is it completely different?

Just out of interest why are the White sky cards more of a pain than the red ones which are much newer?

Use only the lines posted, remove any existing and...
Do as the master says. :)

Also, change the boxtype to "ipbox" instead of dreambox.

And, if you will not be sharing, you can remove the cccam and newcamd sections...

Thanks for your help guys, fired the box up and it work. Just one more thing, the HD channels don't seem to work? is there a solution to this?

one issue ive found is the rar with the boxid generator only has a readme nothing else. Does anyone have a working copy?

Also the cons files contain some text already. Do i delete these or add them to the start or end?

Check the link i provided, it has files you can edit and the tool needed to convert the boxkey to hex.

You can use the oscam web interface or an FTP tool to add the configs, whatever is easier for you bud..

Cheers mate, i'll have a go at some point this evening. Random question in terms of CI slots is it the top or bottom or does it not matter?

Also is it only the boxid that will need changing, is the rest a copy and paste job?

Sorry one other is it the nds serial number or the other sticker

Great thanks. I'll have a go after dinner. Just 2 quick questions the fat of the files such as oscam.conf are there files there to edit or do i need to create them? i've seen those files when i navigate to http://192.168.1.xx:8888 can i edit them there or does that not work? Also the box ID is that just a straight enter or does it need to be in Hex or something?

Which uk card do you have, white or red ? If white has it been in the official sky hd decoder ? Which image do you have on the alien 2 ? Do you have oscam installed yet ?

Once we get the required info we can direct you to whats needed..

    Hi

I have a selection of cards as i have a few muiltiroom boxes in the house. I have 1 white one and 2 of the newer red ones. All the cards have/are in SkyHD 1tb and 2Tb boxes and all have the full package on them. I looked at installing Oscam and there seems to be 4 versions, i'm guessing its the first but if you could advise it would be great.
    1)Oscam 1.20+svn10991-r16
2)seems to be identical to the one above
    3) oscammips
    4)oscamsh4

The receiver is a Amiko Alien 2+ with the Vix4 firmware.
