I don't know what i've done wrong. The firmware for my smargo is v1.3. I've put in the card. put the correct lines in cccam.cfg. and it says no or unknoiwn card inserted.
-
My smargo is on formware v1.3
However, whenever I insert the reader into the usb it keeps saying "unable to read latency timer -32" and cs studio says "no or unknown card inserted" -
there was nothing to install. it was just one executable program called smartreader.exe in which you select mode, kernal, T-mode and EGT

when i plug my smargo reader on my windows laptop it says its looking for drivers but can't find any
-
I've plugged in the powered usb hub and connected the smargo into it. IT says on the screen:
[ 1194.377300] ftdi_sio ttyUSB0: Unable to read latency timer -32 -
how do I check which firmware the smargo is using?? I was planning on using cccam because that is already installed on my debian via the autoinstall script that I used. However, there's a lot of talk about oscam so was maybe thinking of using oscam to read it. I don't think I have installed oscam on my debian though

ok I feel dumb now lol. But don't I have to install any drivers for the smargo reader? Also doesn't the firmware for the smargo reader have to be v1.3?
-
I have absolutely no idea how to install the smargo reader and the powered usb hub on my debian lol
-
when i type that command in it says 6.0.1

hi newtolinux, thanks for your reply. I've already installed debian on my pc, I did this on Monday. Do I need to do this again? Is there a way of checking which debian version I am using?

Hiya guys. I've set up my debian finally. I've got a smargo reader and a usb powered hub. I don't really know how to install this and use my sly uk card with it as I'm new to debian. I've tried following Ten's handy tutorial for smargos but i'm stuck at the very first bit that says:
"1: Linux PC setup.
Make sure that your installed linux distro which has kernel 2.6.12 or newer version!"If anyone can help me get up and running with my local and help walk me through it I'd be very grateful.
Many Thanks

Hi guys
I am currently running a dm800 as a server and client. I want to start a debian server with an old pc i found in my loft. I still want my dm800 running as a server though. Do i need a create a new hostname with dyndns for the debian server or can I use the same one. Also do I need an infinity usb pheonix programmer? I do have a spare from frol the old cable days lol -
I've put the useraddon.xml into var/etc. but when i go to addons on the box, all it says is gemini server and my server.

Hiya guys

Hi
I been trying to create a swap file on my dm800. I have inserted a 2gb usb at the back. however, when it says select swapfile place, it doesn't give me any options to choose. Also, the light on my usb stick doesn't come on when i have inserted it in. This is the same for both usb ports on the dreambox. Any help?

If your running through the same router, you can just put the local ip of the dreambox instad of the dns hostname
