So your saying to not use cccam anymore to share with anyone? Getting kind of confused with this. I thought that we use oscam to open the card then with cccam we share clines with each other. So how does cccam pass along emm's? Just trying to get my head around this and how cards work.
Thanks -
What do you mean by receiving emm's via cccam client? Yeah, will take your advice mate and block all emm's. Can you confirm that by doing this, we will have to update card in original stb when entitlement runs out?
-
Will this happen if you are using oscam to open the card and oscam is updating entitlements?

can a mod or someone please help predator.. i tried help him set up his oscam, got it working and was fine for a couple of days. However, after the problem with his router he's oscam keeps saying error and doesn't seem to be reading the card

For a phoenix reader shouldn't the protocol be phoenix instead of mouse?
-
Having a bit of trouble with this. Tried doing this on puttySSH but can't seem to change the file. When I tried telnet to the debian it doesn't allow me to do so

hi guys
everytime by debian reboots, i have to always enter
cd emu/oscam
./oscam -b
to start up oscam. is there a way for oscam to automatically start when the debian reboots?
Thanks all -
how does oscam open up a card that is different to cccam?
-
payservers ruin it for all. Don't know why people go to them anyway, they'll never get a decent picture anyway and they have everything they need to set up their own server. The amount payservers charge is enough to buy yourself a local anyway.
The transponder your talking about, pick tv didn't work but the other channels on that transponder did work -
I had to change my protocal to "mouse" and got it working. What problem are you having? As newtolinux said, post out your oscam.server file here and we can see whats wrong. Are you using debian and what reader?
-
I've sorted this probblem out now, channels are clearing okay for now
-
yeah i figured that out at the end. thanks anyway mate :)

Hiya guys, I set up my oscam last night, but its not clearing the channels on my box for some reason. I set up a nline to my cccam.cfg but ecm is always 0%. My oscam info page says not found by lower card. I'm using a debian with smargo reader and my receiver is a dreambox800

Thanks ten for all your help mate. Just one more question, when writing the commands to install oscam, can I enter the commands on puttySSH?
-
Hi guys. Thanks to the help of this forum and the wonderful members/mods I have finally got my debian running with my local slyuk using smargo on cccam.
I just have a few questions as I still don't understand a couple of things.
1) Now that by debian is up and running, I can just leave the pc on and remove the keyboard and monitor from it. But then how do I issue commands to the linux pc without the monitor and keyboard. Do I just use puttySSH on CS studio? And is using puttySSH the same as using a monitor and keyboard on the linux pc?2) I want to run my local card using oscam and then use cccam to share with others. But I've read that you can only use cccam version 2.1.3 with oscam as other versions will show my local as hop10. I used the auto install cccam tutorial when setting up my debian. How do i know which version of cccam my debian is using? And if it is the wrong version, how do I install cccam version 2.1.3 on it?
3) Just want to check which tutorial to use to install oscam on my debian pc. Is it this one http://linuxsat-support.com/os…mpiling-oscam-debian.html
or http://linuxsat-support.com/os…cam-compile-tutorial.html ??
and once that is installed, can I just use the oscam config files from the oscam config section for my card?I know I've asked quite a lot but I'm just eager to learn and increase my knowledge.
Thanks for your help -
Thanks a lot for your help newtolinux, I'm happy that I'm up and running now. Gonna start reading up some tutorials for oscam now. But with oscam, don't you have to use it with conjuction with cccam for you to share it with everyone else?
-
ok lol. I took out the card and inserted it the other way round. The linux pc still says unable to read latency timer, however, the card is being read. CS studio shows me the card and the channels are clearing on my dreambox downstairs. Lol, strange one. I am currently reading the card in cccam but I've been hearing a lot of talk about oscam. Which one do you recommend for reading my sly uk card?
-
hi mutz thanks for your reply. Checked that thread and my smargo is genuine. its the arrow shape and opened the casing and all. I bought it from our sponser aswell.
Any other suggestions? Even when I insert the reader without a card it says unable to read latenct timer -32
