Use dishpointer to find your Long and Lat.
set USALS .
Now try to send the dish to a sat,for example hispasat 30ºW..now try another and so on..
if the motor and dish are correctly lined up you shouldnt encounter any problems..
Another already suggested good idea is to install an already made channel settings ( I too use Catseye ) -
I´m throwing away my old tv for that very same reason ,no video, just audio..can control via the vfd + lcd on the Duo2
But I´m not suggesting you do the same,,but have you tried a different TV or a different apparatus on the same tv?? -

another difference of the solo2 to the duo2 is the tuner in solo2 is fixed....
is it still under guarantee bud??

By start putting 2+2 together= reading and trying...
Download the zip file from The official vix image for gigablue hd800 ue plus ... is : openvix-gb800ueplus_usb
Careful, make sure it is the right file with with correct title for your ue box not se or any other...
Once downloaded unrar the file using winrar.
You´ll see a folder.
You can use the image manager to flash or restore an image without the need for a USB stick apparently ( I´m not sure as I don´t have this box)
OR
Put the Gigablue folder on Memory stick.
Switch The receiver off, unplug it and insert memory stick.
switch it back on.
And get the prompt to flash the receiver.
job done,,
next step would be to access the vix feeds for your needs... -
I would probably try another full clean image not a backup, see if it boots up as normal and then reflash with my own backup..
nothing else comes to mind bud.. -

Sounds like you never bothered to make a personal backup bud???
Things to try before having to start from scratch again...
unplug the box from mains,,leave it unplugged for a while to cool down, for example ,overnight/or a good while at least..
lesson 1 : these are machines which software/hardware can become corrupt/non-functioning for no apparent reason
so always have a recent backup at hand for the just in case scenario.....
worst case... reflash starting from scratch or if somebody else had a backup that you could use... -

What have you not got help with buddy???
Like any software/hardware problem ,if its not working as it should check all possibilities/probabilities:
cables,connections all the way from testing the LNB power to the dish alignment to the F connectors to the cable, to the box ,to the configuration, to the sat.xml up to date whichever you use, to try another box, dish, cable ,LNB,,,etc,,,change of image, image version.. btw.. vix hades is the most recent..and so is BH 1.7.1..
Not trying to be funny but as there are so many possibilities/probabilities and you haven´t bothered to be specific with what you have /have not tried...
Another thing ... ¿ are you within the footprint ???
Check out all of that ,then come back and answer if you have got help or not...

Of course you will,,, so take a copy/make a backup of all your personal configurations...
Lastly for both of you ,,,check your BOX is 100% original... -
