    Hello Everyone,

This is Tarun, a newbie to sat forums.
I've a U4 hybrid with DVB-C/ T2/ S2 dual tuners. When I try to search, I'm able to find the cable channels but I got no clue how to use my valid cable subscription from my cable provider's cardless decoder which uses nagra. I tried but couldn't find any details using it's model number which is China manufactured DCS-5100.

Please help me where & how to... Steps for the same.

    Regards,
    Tarun

    Hello Friends,

I'm a newbie here. Just learned that omnikey card reader also works with CA card, till now I was thinking that smargo is the only option available. So I'm glad to learn this fact. Here in India, it takes really long for the equipments to be delivered. So I would like to buy one keeping the future requirements in mind along with budget. Please suggest should I go for smargo or omnikey 3121, or any other model / manufacturer.
Also is there any possibility that the NDIS card which in my case are mostly conexant / irtedo card can be used to create some kind of soft copy, which I can host from my U4 hybrid android box and share it on other boxes too.

    Thanks for helping,
    Tarun

Hi everyone, reading down the forum link, I just reached here. Does this software work with DVB-C/ dvb-T2 USB receivers based on realtek 2832 chip.
Also does it work for descrambling pay TV with valid subscription?
Does it also support USB CA card readers like Phoenix or smartmouse etc.

That's right Marcus, all the functionalities you mentioned are also working in U4 hybrid. It has multi tuner which supports either dual S2, S compatible OR alternatively S2/S compatible tuner 1 and tuner 2 which is DVB-C/DVB-T2 or atsc compatible, which depends on your preferred combo. It also offers mirroring TV to mobile, PC vice versa & also remote viewing thru 2nd tuner.
Developers are also working really well; but i think they will really appreciate more experts working n supporting the the Bhutto's. Build.

Hi Everyone, the information mentioned here is really helpful. I'm trying to understand what type of encryption is used by coaxial cable based providers? So far, I could understand that my local cable providers use DVB-C technology and says nagra followed by some codes. Is there a way, I can understand the version details and configure the same pattern e.g. box number etc on the Linux based box to use same details but two different boxes at the same time in my house?
