Thanks mrgmx. I am working on setting up a pc server now but it's proving a lot more difficult than i expected. I have been using windows all my life and linux ubuntu seems foreign to me.

Hi all, I am looking for a new reciever, i would like to be able to record one channel while watching another, must have 7 day EPG, USB port, Record option, and i am also wanting to share my sly uk card with a few friends, i was told about the VU+ Duo and i had a look and was impressed. I just have a few small questions that i need answered before i spend the money on one.

1) Are the clones any good. Are they Safe and are they reliable as a server?

2) Where can i get an Official VU+ Duo at the best price?

3) Is there any other recievers capable of doing what i need at a lower cost?

Any help much appreciated.

Ha ha..... Tell me about it mate...... This ubuntu is like a foreign language to me..... been running windows pc all my life and i know absolutely nothing and keep getting stuck on what is probably the simplest of things..... Hopefully i will get there in the end.... Any voulenteers want to do it using team viewer.....lol

And change thise lines by removing # from front and reader_drivers lines u delete one comand too:

reader_drivers = pcsc, ctapi;
try_emulation_first = yes;
lock_login = false;

If that is done hit from keyboard ctrl+o and enter, then ctrl+x to exit

Hi all, I have been trying to setup a Cccam server on my new Ubuntu pc and i don't know where to start. Can anyone please point me in the right direction or show me a good noob friendly tutorial i can follow. I am trying to share my white sly uk card to my dads DM500S using an OMNIKEY CARDMAN 3121.

Any help is greatly appreciated.
