  • Audio problems while playing streams

    Good morning, guys.
    I'm playing my IPTV list (public streams, nothing illegal) on my Zgemma H7S through xtream-editor.
    One of these streams (this is the link) is being played flawlessly but no audio comes out of it.
    I've changed the settings on my Xtream Editor using alternatively exteplayer or gstreamer but nothing changes so I think it's something depending on codecs.
    Is there a way to install a complete player on Enigma2 (something similar to mpv, to be clear) or a "full" audio plugin?

  • Zgemma H7S: hard disk interno o esterno?


    I answer myself, updating you on the situation.
    Five days ago I installed the internal hard disk in question or, to be more precise, I realized that the H7S model I had purchased even had the SATA slot; basically I didn't even have to tinker with screws and screwdrivers.
    All very stable, this decoder is truly exceptional.

    Happy Friday everyone.
    I ask you a stupid question: I have (re) purchased a Zgemma H7S, after an unfortunate experience with an obviously failed previous model.
    I kept the power supply and the terabyte disk which I now use on the USB 3.0 port.
    Now, if I decide to install it as an internal hdd, apart from the sure increase in performance (due to the SATA bus), do you think I might have problems in terms of system stability?
    As you may have understood, I am still burned by the experience with the previous decoder.

    Buon pomeriggio a tutti.
    Ho installato da poco, sul mio Zgemma H7S su cui è in esecuzione openATV 6.4, una lista di siti IPTV (siti pubblici, quindi accessibili senza problemi), che ho dato in pasto a Xtream Editor.
    Tutto bene, l'EPG, ad esempio, viene aggiornato con regolarità, il problema è che non riesco a visualizzare gli stream.
    Ho provato ad usare exteplayer3 e gstreamer tanto nelle impostazioni di Xtream Editor quanto in quelle di serviceapp, ma ottengo sempre il classico schermo nero.
    E' vero che vivo all'estero ma ho cambiato i DNS del decoder (usando quelli forniti da Smart DNS Proxy), infatti non ottengo alcun messaggio di errore relativo all'impossibilità di trasmettere il contenuto richiesto all'estero.
    Qualche idea???

  • Zgemma H9.2s, any tips???

    Hi, everyone, after an awful experience with the Zgemma H7S, which was probably faulty, I was thinking about getting myself a brand new Zgemma H9.2s because, you know, money is really tight at the moment.
    Any experiences with it?
    I'm only interested in recording stuff on Freesat here in the UK, vpn support and, most importantly, stability: I'm tired of dealing with freezes all the time.
    Any tips???

  • [OpenPLi] Setting aliases on bash_profile file

    Good evening to everyone...
    I've just installed OpenPLi 8.0 and... well, as I use a lot of bash scripts, I'd like to recall some of them by using aliases...
    To make this possible I've created a hidden bash_profile file (the same that I use on Linux virtual machines and openATV), but, when I type an alias, I get this error:

    Code
    -sh: alias_xxx: command not found

    I'm quite sure it's something related to variables and path.
    How can I fix this issue?

  • Zgemma H7S, freeze and power supply unit

    Hi, everyone,


    I'm quite disappointed at my decoder behaviour, as it usually freezes every two or three days, even though it's not actually doing anything and my setup is simple (not strange plugins etc.).
    Reading somewhere, it seems like it may depend on the power supply, so I was thinking about replacing the original one (1 x 12v 2.5 amp) with this one.

    I'm using an openATV 6.4, internal hard drive, default plugins.

    Well, just a couple of hours ago the decoder froze again...
    Honestly speaking, I was confident about this new "script", but it seems like there's nothing to do.
    No logs have been produced, of course...
    Considering I'm experiencing the same kind of issue on a second decoder, always with OpenATV on, I'll test another image...
    Quite frustrating, though...

    Hi, oottppxx and thanks for replying.
    I'm quite sure the decoder can still interact with the LAN because I've set up a simple script which forces it to reboot in case it's not able to ping its own router.
    The script has been inserted in my crontab list, of course.

    Buona serata a tutti!


    In questi giorni di forzata inattività, sto smanettando per sistemare un avversario ostico, il mio Zgemma H7S, cercando di addomesticarlo il più possibile.

    Come già successomi con uno Zgemma H2, anche questo freeza di tanto in tanto, per cui , per risolvere il problema, da un lato ho implementato uno script che mi segnala quando questo avviene, inviandomi una email (in pratica il mio Raspberry Pi, se non riesce a pingare il decoder, mi manda un messaggio), dall'altro sto cercando di forzare il dispositivo a riavviarsi, quando succede una cosa del genere.
    Avevo preparato uno script, testato con successo, il quale forza il riavvio del decoder quando questo non riesce più a pingare il router...
    Il problema, però, è che, quando lo Zgemma è in freeze, riesce comunque a comunicare con la rete locale, in primis il router, mentre diventa inaccessibile dall'esterno.
    Per semplificare, il decoder pinga il router, dal mio PC, invece, non riesco né a pingarlo né a stabilire alcun tipo di connessione.
    Ora, la mia domanda era: come faccio a "triggare" un evento del genere e a passarlo allo script???
    Any ideas???

  • Zgemma H7S, OpenATV 6.4 e playback audio

    Buona domenica a tutti, ragazzi.
    Sto completando la configurazione del mio nuovo Zgemma H7S, su cui sto passando un bel po' di tempo e su cui, dopo qualche test, ho deciso di installare la OpenATV 6.4.
    La mia installazione è molto minimale, i plugins caricati sono pochissimi (voglio caricare meno roba possibile), l'unica cosa su cui sono intervenuto è la configurazione dei servizi di rete (SSH, FTP, Samba, VPN) che, a dire il vero, funzionano molto bene.
    L'unica cosa su cui sto sbattendo la testa riguarda la IPTV: trovandomi all'estero ho caricato una lista m3u di canali italiani (canali in chiaro che si trovano tranquillamente sui server di pastebin), li ho convertiti in un unico bouquet, in modo tale da abilitare la funzionalità di registrazione all'occorrenza.

    Ovviamente, per motivi di geo-localizzazione, per vederli devo attivare la VPN ma il problema non è questo.
    In pratica, l'unico canale che mi interessa veramente (Rai 3), ci mette circa venti secondi a comparire sullo schermo, ma il problema vero è che l'audio è muto.
    Ho provato a giochicchiare con il pulsante giallo che sugli Zgemma consente di modificare le proprietà dell'audio, ho fatto delle prove cambiando le impostazioni nella sezione della scelta della lingua, ho anche provato ad installare il codec faac, ma niente.
    Lo stesso stream, in E2iplayer si vede e si sente perfettamente, ma ovviamente ciò non mi interessa in quanto vorrei registrare.
    L'audio in questione il sistema lo vede come mpeg-4 aac "aenglish" undetermined.
    La cosa strana è che se apro le proprietà dello stream di Rai 2, che funziona perfettamente, le proprietà audio dello stream sono le stesse.
    Non vorrei utilizzare soluzioni illegali per vedere canali in chiaro, anche perché sono convinto che il problema sia risolvibile.
    Che ne dite???
