    Can anyone point me in the right direction to get EPG data for The South African Supersport Channels please ?

    I need up to date Sref's too if that's at all possible ?

    If EPG cannot be obtained via CrosEPG or EPGimport, then a working Webgrab++ ini will do if anyone has one ? I can then code the Sref's into a py file to give EPG on my box.

    Everything I've found seems to be from around 2011 so is out of date.

    I suppose it may depend upon your CrossEPG version then inside your image. Other versions are available on the GitHub.

    Mines 0.8.6 running in OpenATV

    However, it is also possible these options are only presented to you if alternative storage device locations are detected and are present. Perhaps someone else can confirm this ?

    If this is the case, then you have not mounted your box 1 HDD correctly as its not being detected by CrossEPG.

    Also I've never tried that Skin and that may not have the ability to show all options ?

    But this option is deffo there when everything is setup correctly.

    Firstly its never a good idea to have EPG data or Picons saved to any HDD because then it can never go into sleep mode. USB is better.

    You have to setup the CrossEPG storage location on box 2 to read the .dat file from that location. As long as everything's mounted correctly and you are now sharing the HDD with both boxes, ie you can play movies saved on it by box 1 on box 2 then once CrossEPG is configured the EPG will just appear. If everything's mounted correctly, CrossEPG should just offer you the box 1 HDD to use as its Dat File location. Box 2 may need a reboot though after you configure CrossEPG on it.

    It would be better to have set it as HDD Replacement, if box 2 doesnt have its own HDD.

    Comment out line 293 and replace with

    Code
    url = 'http://127.0.0.1:8888/readers.html?action=reread&label=emulator'

    Ensuring that you edit the port to the one you are using, if not using 8888.

    Its nothing sinister.

    Its been in the pipeline for months. Vermin are just getting rid of all SD Channels that also have HD counterparts. SD movies have already gone from this morning too. But this was planned. Its just unfortunate that we cannot open the HD counterparts for sports because they switched to 1850 at the beginning of the year. But HD movies will still be ok for now. It wont be long before all other SD channels that have HD counterparts will be gone too.

    Its just about freeing up space to improve signal but also to launch some new Cable exclusive channels as well.

    IPTV for the Sky Sports Channels has been the only way to go anyway since the Vermin HD sports switched to 1850, because the SD versions were appalling quality, I'm quite sure they reduced the SD quality as much as was humanly possible anyway. I never touched them because of this. I found them useless.

    Ian.

    I'm currently using G: { 41 }

    G: { 33 } is I believe just 01 newcamd netclient + 32 cccamd netclient, card list saved as /tmp/cccamd.info

    Therefore 01 + 32 = 33

    But I too do think this section of the config might be where the answer lies.

    Yeh tried that too, but thanks.

    Like you say we are getting older. Just had to rack my brains trying to figure out why i was using a patched libavformat in my box lol

    Sat at the PC for ages trying to remember, then 20 mins later it came to me that NBCSN are blocking the ICY METADATA header used in ffmpeg in our boxes ( ICY METADATA = I Can Yell, Shoutcast ) and without this patch I wouldn't be able to stream the Footie from NBCSN on my box. This is also how they stopped Kodi from streaming it too.

    Now you would think I would remember something as important as that !

    Sign of getting older I'm afraid.

    Anyway that's off topic. Hopefully someone who used two EMU's back in the day will be able to remember how the Mgcamd DVBAPI was disabled to avoid conflicts between the 2 EMU's

    Yes I've forgotten too, hence me asking how we used to do it about 10yrs ago. For the life of me I cannot remember and most of the old information such as that has been removed from many forums simply because of the age of the information.

    Of course the ideal solution would be to get Oscam patched to allow multiple ports on the device line, but that's no easy task, I expect they would just say something along the lines of contact the Cardserver and get them to just use one port, however, I don't think this would go down too well with the Payservers I hack for fun lol

    I've got several hacked lines like this just sat there doing nothing as the only practical way of making use of them is to use Mgcamd and many have very rare cards indeed in these lines. I have of course added single use readers for packages such as Max TV from them, but like we agree, adding sometimes up to 50 readers for each of the hacked CWS_MULTIPLE lines that I have is plainly not going to happen. Not least because I believe there are still limits on the amount of readers that can be added to Oscam Set Top Box versions anyway.

    So I ask again, can anyone remember how we used to disable the Mgcamd DVBAPI all those years ago ?

    No you cannot.

    Oscam needs a patch to allow CWS_MULTIPLE = lines when the newcamd line uses multiple ports.

    So for example a CWS_MULTIPLE line such as

    CWS_MULTIPLE = xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx 27263:27299 user password 01 02 03 04 05 06 07 08 09 10 11 12 13 14 wan

    Would need 36 readers adding the the oscam.server file.

    Hardly practical !

    There is no way to my knowledge of using multiple ports in the device setting of the oscam.server file.

    Single port CWS_MULTIPLE lines do of course work perfectly.

    Can anyone remember how to disable the Mgcamd dvbapi so it can be ran on the same box as Oscam and not take priority ?

    In other words, it just feeds Oscam allowing Oscam to perform as normal and provide the decrypted picture.

    I did this years ago and would now like to do it again, but its been too long and I've had many sleeps since then lol and I'm buggered if I can remember how its done.

    Any chance of adding the ESPN keys to your Server for 15W ?

    Just because I'm lazy lol and get fedup of adding them manually. No other reason than that, so its not a problem if you cannot add them.

    Hmmmmm

    It seems these files are overwritten with certain image updates.

    ATV updated CrossEPG on the 11th of June overwriting the files we applied. I don't think this can be avoided, short of locking down the entire CrossEPG folder, which is not a good idea. So any ATV users will have to reapply the files again from post 1

    The only other option is to get someone to commit these updates to the CrossEPG GIT, but there are so many versions in use by various images I doubt this will be possible.

    Yes as I expected, there is a possible conflict here that we could do with addressing.

    However

    The brand new fresh EPG dat from this morning seems to be ok once more. The order of things in my setup is Sky UK Open TV, then the Alias script and then finally Rytec stuff for the other Sats I frequently use. It seems that if I stick to this order, things are fine, but downloading everything takes over an hour, so during testing of this I disabled the Rytec stuff and just downloaded fresh Sky and Vermin. I think its this merging into the existing dat that may have caused the issue, because like I say, this morning with a fresh dat and keeping to the automated order, things seem to be fine again.

    I think we may have a problem.

    The sky UK EPG is also being added to other channels of the same name on different packages. For example, FOX HD and SYFY HD in the Sky Germany package is showing the UK EPG. I shall delete my dat file tonight before I go to bed as my EPG downloads at 4am, to ensure its not just that which has become corrupted, and report back tomorrow whether its still the same.
