    Finally, AJPanel displays embedded subtitles on IPTV channels normally. I tried the same movie on Octagon sf8008 and it works fine.


    I don't understand why they don't appear on Edision osmio4kplus. Maybe the image has a problem and I need to reinstall it.

    I wasted a lot of time in testing, I was disappointed, but since it works, all is well.

    Are you sure? As far as I know, AJPanel automatically translates the current EPG event only, and that's via the player bar by pressing the INFO button.

    The rest of the EPG events for the day and/or week are not translated.


    If you know how to automatically translate all EPG events, please let us know.

    I had read in the past that someone had installed OpenMultiBoot on the sf8008.

    Personally, I have never tried this plugin on this box.


    I tried it now on OpenEight which is py2, but although the plugin was installed, it failed because it can't install kernel-module-nandsim.

    When I have time, I will try it on an older OpenATV version.

    Strange, why doesn't it work on me? I have the osmio4kplus which should be like osmio4k.

    I'll try again tomorrow when I have enough time to experiment.

    I used a new empty USB-Drive, formatted as ext4, mounted as UUID, but the result was the same.

    NeoBoot does not work on Edision osmio4kplus.


    FYI, Edision osmio4kplus does not accept any other multiboot plugins (OpenMultiBoot, EgamiBoot, OPDBoot, NFR4XBoot) while Octagon sf8008 accepts all of them.

    I don't think it's a mounting problem because with the same installation procedure on the Octagon sf8008 everything works fine (see pic.3).

    I'm using the non-VIP new version 9.78 to see if it actually works on osmio4kplus, but I get the same result as I had on older versions.

    In version 9.65 I didn't get anything even if I mounted the HDD as UUID.

    I noticed today that in version 10.0.0 of AJPanel we lost all images in the General Guide.

    I don't know if they were showing up in the previous days (I hadn't checked them before).

    In previous version 9.4.0 they appear normally.

    I checked both cases with OpenATV-7.5 and OpenPLi-9.0.

    I think the problem is with AJPanel and it should appear in all images.

    Finally, I found the reason why I had no PIcons in the channel lists and info bar, and I would like to share my experience with other users

    who have the same problem.


    Manually mounting the hdd, helped me understand where the problem was.


    I compared the fstab files before and after the hdd mounting (my previous post) and noticed that the entries for slots 9 to 13 were missing.

    I put them back in and the PIcons problem came back. No matter if hdd is declared as sda1 or UUID.


    I checked the images in slots 9-13 and noticed that OpenHDF (slot10) contains just one file, "picon_default.png" in the "picon" directory.

    I deleted it and Picons came back on all images and any skin.


    Sometimes, a small thing causes a huge problem (in my case, I was working the image for a long time without PIcons).

    Thanks for the quick reply. You are right, the problem was in the mounting settings.


    Although the fstab file was correct, in the Mount Manager there was no mount for hdd. I fixed it manually and now everything is fine.

    This is fstab file from the Octagon sf8008 (before and after conversion).

    I've had a problem for a long, long time (basically I've forgotten since when) with the display of PIcons in OpenATV (all releases) with the Aglare skin.


    The PIcons do not appear in this skin, when a microsd-card or usb-stick with extra slots is connected.

    If I disconnect the external media, then the PIcons appear normally in the channel lists and info bar (path: /usr/share/enigma2/picon/).

    If I connect an external media without extra slots, the Picons appear too (path: /media/hdd/picon/).

    This problem also occurs in other skins (e.g. MadMax, Premium-FHD) but in other ones there is no problem (e.g. the default skin "matrix").

    I've learned to live with this problem, and I'm surprised it hasn't been reported by another user.

    Unless I'm not setting something correctly in enigma or in the skin itself.


    The above screenshots were taken from "Edision osmio4kplus".

    The same are presented in the "Octagon sf8008".

    Πιθανόν να προσπαθεί να διαβάσει το όνομα ενός image σε κάποιο slot, να μπερδεύεται και να κρασάρει.

    Εάν έχεις το SatDreamGr στην εσωτερική φλας του δέκτη (slot 1-4), δοκίμασε να αποσυνδέσεις την microsd καρτούλα και δες αν κρασάρει.



    Εάν δεν θέλεις να χρησιμοποιείς το Recovery_menu, υπάρχουν δύο λύσεις να μπουτάρεις σε οποιοδήποτε slot από το SatDreamGr απευθείας:


    1) Συνδέσου με FTP, πήγαινε στο /media/mmc/, αντέγραψε στο PC το αρχείο STARTUP που σε ενδιαφέρει (π.χ. STARTUP_5), μετονόμασε το σε STARTUP

    και μετέφερε το στον δέκτη αντικαθιστώντας το υπάρχον. Κανε επανεκκίνηση και θα μπουτάρεις στο image που σε ενδιαφέρει.

    2) Δώσε τις ακόλουθες εντολές σε TELNET:

    Προσοχή!! H παραπάνω διαδρομή /media/mmc/ ισχύει για pli based images. Στα oea η διαδρομή είναι /boot/.

    Hi biko


    I read that in the next version of AJPanel you will fix the problem that occurs in the Arabic language, in the .xml file,

    which becomes unreadable when changing an icon in any custom panel.


    The same problem occurs in other languages, for example the Greek which interests to me.

    I would be grateful if you fix the problem in the Greek language as well.


    It might not be a problem to display the panel on screen, but I'm interested in being able to read and edit the .xml file easily.


    Temporary solution is to not change the panel icons at all, or if I want to change any, I have to find and change the path manually in the .xlm file,

    so that the Greek characters are not replaced with placeholders that the system can read, but they make it difficult for me (hard way).


    I am sending the files before and after changing an icon.
