Please note that the version works according to the latest system for Device management
Device management replaces the mount manager - switching from mdev to udev
To know more about the difference between mdev & udev You should read the wonderful post to / Captain OpenATV Developer here
https://www.opena.tv/viewtopic.php?t=67248
from Captain OpenATV Developer post
Many users in the past have wanted better control over the automatic mounting of HotPlug devices. However, the previous approach of solving this with your own script and the mount manager reached its limits. The distinction between internal SATA hard drives and USB devices was particularly problematic, as it often no longer worked reliably with modern hardware.
Additionally, a common annoyance was that Linux would mount attached devices in the order in which they were recognized. This caused the mount point for /media/hdd to keep changing, which caused confusion. Experienced users were able to fix this by making manual adjustments to the fstab file. Others tried to use the Enigma2 interface's less-than-intuitive mount manager - with often unsatisfactory results.
What's new?
With the introduction of the new device management, which replaces the previous mount manager, and the switch from mdev to udev, there are numerous improvements:
Quick Mounter: When you connect a device for the first time, a notification appears that allows you to mount the device directly - depending on the device type (e.g. USB or MMC).
Automatic assignment of /media/hdd: If /media/hdd does not already exist, the first connected device will be assigned to this mount point by default.
More control: Users can now choose where to mount a device using an intuitive interface.
Why the switch from mdev to udev?
More modern and flexible: udev offers more functions and is the standard in current Linux distributions.
More reliable device management: udev detects devices more accurately and enables granular actions for specific device types.
Stability and compatibility: udev shows its strength particularly in setups with multiple devices at the same time.
Future-proof: While mdev is no longer actively developed, udev remains up to date and is designed for modern hardware.
New device management features
Device management goes beyond the previous capabilities of the mount manager and offers the following functions:
Device Partitioning: Create and manage partitions directly in the interface.
Split partitions: Flexible adjustment of the storage structure.
File system check: checking and repairing file systems.
FSTAB Cleanup: Cleanup of outdated entries in the fstab file.
Permanent mounts: Setting up fixed mount points via the fstab file.
Temporary Mounts: Support for short-term mounts without permanent changes
With the introduction of device management and the switch to udev, automatic mounting will not only be easier, but also more reliable and significantly more powerful. The new functions ensure that you can manage your devices optimally and easily - according to your needs.

OpenBh 5.5.1 is based on the OE-Alliance 5.5.1 core
openbh-5.5.1.001.release-sf8008-f21adc59_mmc 4/2/2025
Whats New- Python 3.12.8
- Gstreamer updated to version 1.24.10
- Switch to udev (userspace /dev).
- If your favourite plugins no longer work, you will need to contact the plugin authors to ask them to update their plugins for Python3.12.8
*** You can not online update from 5.4.1 to 5.5.1, you must reflash (you can do this using image and backup manager and then restore your settings backup) ***
*** You need to set a Password to use FTP, TELNET & SSH *** -
Reassembled the assembly, updated the download link. I don't have this receiver, so I can't check some things.
