Had a motorised dish fitted a while ago and picked up plenty of satellites but always felt the signal wasnt quiet as strong as it could be and was missing some channels.

AHd the dish set up with usals - at least i think it was - it was the positioner option.

Anyway, messed about a biot on various satellites moving the dish slightly and got noticeably imporved signal levels, but couldnt see a way to save them while using usals.

Anyway to cut a long story short, i messed about a lot I now have astra 28 stronger than I have ever had before, but only when I set my tuner configuration to simple and 28.2e. As soon as I change it to usals, i lose the signal on 28.2 east and get the tune failed message. I cannot get any other sattelites either, and then have to manually refind 28 east, pull out the satellite connectiion and chnage to simple configuration before plugging the sat connection back in. I have tried reflashing my box thinking that would reset everything but to no avail. I ahave alwso tried the goto 0 and goto X functiuon in positioner set up but these seem to make no difference.. I have tried searching for other satellites by turning usals back on cannot find any of them and it seems as if the motor is not moving but i cannot be certain of that. I have tried to follow the guides in this section for usals and diseqc but no joy.

Anyone got any ideas?

I have a maxdigital xp1000 which i really like. My dad wants a similar sort of box and i know that WoS are marketing the miraclebox minis as replacements/successors to the xp1000. how do they compare?

Thanks for the reply. I uninstalled it, ran software update, reinstalled it and its working again now.

I have got an xp1000 running vix appollo, and the ondemand plugin has stopped playing programmes.

It was working fine the other day, but now, in iplayer, it will list the programmes and let me search but when I play, nothing actually starts.

Any ideas?

Have tried wireless senders but tend to get quite a bit of interference, would one of these do the job?

If so, would how exactly would i wire it up? scart lead from xp1000 into this box, then coax out and coax into the antenna on my other tv?

anyone using oscam instead of mgcamd or cccam on a xp1000 using vix?

is there a step by step guide anywhere for setting up oscam on e2 machines?

I think ive uninstalled them all except EPG and autobouquets. Will double check how much flash memory ive got when I get home tonight.

thanks - have unistalled them but it doesnt seem to have made much difference, I am still getting the vix spinning logo in the top left corner occassionally wehn I change channels.

evening all, ive got a maxdigital xp1000 running vix, which I really like, but in the last couple of days it seems to have slowed down quite a bit when changing channels, accessing menus. any ideas what it oculd be? I havent done any updates or added any plug ins , so not really sure what the problem is.

Picons, epg etc are all on a HDD not on the flash memory

i upgraded from the s11 to the xp1000, and really the like the xp1000, its a step up. You will have to install cccam, but all the files are on thsi site -have a look here

As its enigma2, loads of files will work for it that arent just specific for one box

ive got a maxdigital xp1000, cost me 129, am very impressed with it so far.

does nayone have a diablo cam working on enigma 2? My diablo cam is shoing on my receiver, but when i click on it to edit it/set it up, I get a 'waiting for ci message' and then nothing happens

It is listed as softcam.Key - is that correct or does it need to start with a capital letter in the same way that Cccam does?
