Sensui619. There are people that have had a bad experience with Amiko and tend to take it out on the wrong people. I am sending a link to try and help and you will find even in those postings negative comments. There are many users of the Vix????? image with Alien2 and problems with the remote are not common. I suggest that, if you have not done so, then reflash your box having downloaded from the Amiko site. If thats still a problem then you may find some help here. http://linuxsat-support.com/showthread.php?t=29227. I think that it is a fault with your remote. Good luck and please don't be put off this forum where normally help is great.

Just to help here and the channels you mentioned setanta ireland, nick jr too, racing uk have all changed in the last 24 hours.

I hope this is not too obvious but.. I like my settings in my own special way and I do not use ABM as an auto fix. I do use it though when there are odd channel changes like the ones you mention. So I run ABM and HIDE everything except the sports. I open the new ABM generated sports and move the changed channel into my own settings (having checked that it is working). I then delete all ABM. My settings are therefore updated and just as an old codger like me likes them. There I have to go and rest now.

This is a great offer. The box seems exactly the same spec as the original, one less internal usb, and you get the new rcu. You order from the openelec site as the sponsers are not showing it yet. But of course "Yeah we all know like weeks ago ".

You can select Timer and then select record and it goes through the motions of a recording (I dont have a pvr set up). It will show the recording you may have made on pressing the pvr and you do get a red light on the front of the box. It seems almost stable now and usable with oscam. An option to select dual (or even more) booting seems the next wish list item.

Just added a HDD and easy install. Crashes when you try to play music that you have loaded via FTP. No picture, but sound, when you play avi that you have loaded. Nothing when selecting a recording you have started via timer. Early days.

The 2nd tuner will be fixed in due course but your other network problem I have not had. Can I suggest that you try the Swain skin, its really clear but seems to crash less often. Might just be coincidence though. Good luck

This may seem obvious but the Openelec site does say "If you want install on SD-Card you *MUST* update WeTek's Android first to the latest version provided via OTA".. Just in case

The backup that Stevejo did for 28.2 works pretty well for me. I have a solo2 as my main box but I have used openelec a good bit. The fact that backups work so well is a very underrated feature of the WeTek. Agree that Jum's backup would be nice if he can manage it as I am now fairly confident that I can set it up now. Hopefully Openelec will stabilise channel changing back to normal speed soon.

Just checked and they are doing a serious makeover upgrade on the WeTek site. The tutorials page, http://www.wetekforums.com/index.php, looks good.

I use CCcam2Oscam Convertor 1.2 to convert my line (be it a C Line or and N Line - the convertor gives you the option) and copy paste the whole thing (scroll down to see the second bit) into your Oscam server (removing anything already in there) and restart Oscam. Stevejo, thank you very much for your patience, and the many others. My problem all along was a bad f connector. So embarrased but will probably do something just as silly in the future. Off to hide in the corner of the kitchen but looking forward to some fun in the future. Again thanks all.

Right, I now have your scan results in HTS TvHeadend on my browser. In status though I have no signal strength. I have a single feed to the box and have tried both connections, disabled and reenabled and still no strength. When I got my box there was just one occassion when I got a signal reading. The connection works fine on the android side. Any ideas.

Yes to 5.0.6 and flashing your backup. Its running at what I would call normal restore speed this time.

The backup is very quick and shows as 5.0.6 so it may not be happening for me. Perhaps someone else will confirm and put me out of my misery. If the backup had to have worked, when I go into HTS TvHeadend on my browser, should I see the results of your scan Stevejo. I am not and they are showing the last attempt I had. Thanks anyway however.

Stevejo. I am looking forward to trying this because I am at that point of suspecting a faulty tuner, which is normally the reaction of someone who cannot quite figure how to do it. I think yours is configured for a single LNB as well so apart from learning scottish, it might work and I can reverse read it (now thats irish).

Is their a tutorial to install this? Please
