Trampolin79, you are a breath of fresh air. I thought it was all me but maybe not and I look forward to a fix as you hope.

Surely you realise that our friend Pheonix has two boxes that he must want to get rid of. As at 1830 last night he did not seem impressed enough to keep them. "I have two fire TV boxes my self mate and they blow that piece of crap wetek rubbish rite out of the water on all points, even with it's tuners.". Just sayin'

You will find it in the /etc folder on most images, with the exception of OpenATV image it will be found in /usr/keys folder..
master G, whats wrong with you, surely you should have told him to do a search on google or not ask obvious and worthless questions. This is a satellite forum and manners/polite help or a decent and helpful reply are not allowed. There again this is Linuxsat and we have some strange people on this forum. Good for you mate and long may we continue to remember where we were once. -
I think this post should be removed very quickly. Stevejo I read and mostly agree with your posts with interest but you are out of order with this. You have declared an business interest in the product and then made a comment on the honesty of a competitor for that interest. I will not be surprised if this ends up in another place. This is a public forum open to all. Sorry mate buts that my opinion.

So I did a complete reset and installed everything again. My Satellite box logic tells me to connect my dish to the lowest lnb number (1) and as this is a 2 input tuner it should not make any difference. But it seemed sensible to try so I connected it to Lnb 2 and now everything is working as per Jims tutorial and snifferdsx. So thank you all again. Does this mean that I have a faulty tuner (ie one of the two is not working) or does it mean that Lnb 2 is the default when using only one dish connection?

I appreciate your kind offer but if it is not possible to follow a good tutorial like yours or Jims then there is something wrong with the wetek box. Not everyone is having this problem or reporting problems so this is my problem. I will try to do it myself and if not good then I will try with your backup. We have already had a problem with installing tvheadend and then discovered that their servers were down. That is not wetek's problem but they should make allowances for it. Thank you again for your help, wetek also owe you their thanks.

But the version from Openelec is and I am sure it will be available soon. In the meantime I will remake the sd card install and try again. Does it matter which LNB I use?
-
Thanks snifferdsx but I have done this. I think the answer maybe in the fact that there is no signal strength in status. I don't think I am doing a real time scan. I think my openelec settings/configuration may be wrong. I will switch to the new 5.0.6 version available and also reflash the box to make sure I am back to basics. Again thank you
-
Its something silly. In status it shows 0 in both signal columns. I have run wetek theatre and it scans and shows 28 so it is not an issue on the android/kodi side. I have left it running and will report back. Thanks for your advice Jim

Hi Jim, did the reset and now I get the 'pre defined muxes', selected 28 and here are some screen shots.
-
I do not get the option to select 'Pre Defined Muxes' the box is empty even when I select the button. I have managed to get it one time however and thought I had it cracked till I realised that the Muxes found also showed 'Scan Failed' and the bouquets produced did not include 28 e but 14 other satellites. Maybe you wished that you had not asked !

Hi Jim, I have not uploaded an attachment picture before so hopeful. I am also sure this is as a result of my doing something wrong rather than your tutorial.

Is their a simple way that I can confirm that I have TVHeadend correctly installed and configured.
-
Its Sunday Jim and I am in no hurry. I did as you ask and even though I had already tried to 'Force Scan' before I still could not get and response. I notice also that there is no data (other than 0) showing for the network name.
-
Jim, your guide is very clear but I am new to all this and somethings may not be obvious. I have booted into Openlec, I have Tvheadend installed. I have a 28.2 dish feed into lnb 1. The box is connected to the net. I follow all your instructions to the point where I select the Muxes button. There is no data shown or "pending". Just kick my backside in the right direction please.

Just tried and on the second go I have it. thanks for your patience and information. Having said that I wouldn't have expected anything else from you guys.
-
Thanks and will do when I can
-
Everything appears to be as you say but he screen remains blank other than (..) and force refresh changes nothing. Thanks for trying but it cannot be that difficult.
-
Thanks but when I get to the point where I need to do a force refresh, I do and the next screen is blank (..) . I have used the WeTek OpenELEC Installer to create my sd card.

Hi and thanks for all the information. I am normally ok at these things but I am not getting the options you show at add ons/services, including tvheadend. I am runnng openlec 5.0.5 from sd card. Any advice please
