Don´t have a octogon sf8008. So i can´t give you any clues for you problem.
But on all my boxes (H7S,AX HD51 & AXAS UE4k) the youtube host is functionable after changing the
youtube.py File.
Do you realy changed the : youtube.py File on your Box , and then make a restart ?

The missing youtube streams is a compleet other problem , and we all have to wait for the next update .
The problem has already been reported in Gitlab:
Which version of E2iPlayer are you currently using on your receiver?
And on which host do you get the error message ?
On all of them?
Please give an example where the error message appears !
OpenATV 6.4 is python 2 programmed and End of Life too.
Install OpenATV 7.4 ( python 3 ) on your VU+ Box and then you will also find a running version in the OATV feed
& get updates for the plugin also.
Same answer : DM800 is MIPSEL but these are for ARM , and the vu+zero too.
Depends on which country you live in + which IPTV you want to use.
With the help of jedimakerxtream you can create a bouquet with the IPTV channels on any IPTV-capable SAT/CABLE/DVB-T receiver
& if you assign the first channel as the START channel, then the BOX starts on this channel .
And you can then zap further with the channel +/- buttons.

On OpenATV 7.4 with Zgemma H7S + AX HD51 4k +Axas 4k H51 it works perfectly .
albakos : What´s the name of your Box ?
I´ve tried the vavoo plugin 1.4 on 3 different receivers under OATV 7.3.
(AX HD51 4k, Zgemma H7s+ AXAS 51-4k).
I don't get a picture or sound on any of the receivers. 
With OATV 7.4 + HDF 7.3, however, it works perfectly. 
Is there an explanation ?
When you switch to the hires stream nothing to hear. Mp3 stream is o.k.
So i would say : the service is not ok!
Please note : HDF Radio cannot currently be installed under the current OpenATV 7.4
The right version for your box can also be found in the OATV feed. No reason to search
Favorites:
Your own favorites are saved in the file /etc/enigma2/hdfradio_userlist.
The favorites will be updated along with the radio list if the name has not been changed.
A channel can be moved/sorted in the favorites using the yellow button.
The file can also be edited using a text editor such as Notepad++.
However, the format in this file must be adhered to:
