Upgraded to the Feb firmware successfully instead of the March firmware after reading about the reported lip sync issues. Not noticed any lip sync issues on the Feb firmware or clone box errors.
To be fair other than the additional supported languages I’ve not really notice any other improvements over the shipped firmware and the CCcam client still appears to be V2.1.4. Do any of the other firmware revisions include the newer CCcam 2.2.1 client?
Set permissions on the script to 755 to allow execution. You can do this from the gemini file manager Tuxbox commander plugin or a program on your pc like dreambox control centre.
Now use the gemini file manager on the box browse to /usr/script or turbox commander and execute it. I think there is also a script execute plugin that can be downloaded so all usr scripts show up under a green button plugin but I can't remember the name of it maybe someone else does?
Ddaddy the epg refresh bit on crossepg only refreshes the first time you run it on gemini any other download and you need to restart enigma2. I find the script easier and quicker.
Best to do it locally when changing the IP address otherwise you will loose the connection.
alibaba1802 did you get chance to test the DVR?
Completely agree with glenviewjf a DM800 would be the best way to go if you want to get into card sharing with an HD receiver. The Openbox will at the moment only work as a CCcam client. Like glenviewjf I started out with the DM500's then upgraded to the dM800 for HD. I've got the Openbox S9 (when I eventually get it back) for HD in another room linked off my main DM800. The Openbox will only ever act as a client and in that configuration it should be a very useful box.
Make sure you put in an IP address that's on your local network e.g. 192.168.x.x with your router as the gateway address and also with the correct subnet mask.
Also try to assign an IP address that's not in the range of your DHCP server otherwise you could get IP address conflicts when you connect up another computer etc.
Hmm not sure why it can't see your tuner. Can you try a different image e.g. Gemini V5.1 and see if your tuner shows up ok?
Will this play DIVX natively on a DM800 direct from the Dreambox HDD without having to use the PC to decode and stream?
What tuner revision do you have in your box? Are you sure your satellite dish is aligned properly?
Do you have another receiver you can plug in to test your signal?
Personally I would recommend flashing with DreamUP. I have had a few flashes fail using FlashWiz and had to recover with DreamUP and the serial cable.
Yes the blue light can be a bit of a pain but if you turn the sloped stand round so the front of the dreambox is pointing downwards instead of upwards you don't notice it that much.
Sorry but I'm affraid you'll have to use your PC with VLC to the Dreambox if you want to play DIVX otherwise convert to mpeg4 first. I convert to mpeg4 the quality and file sizes are very similar to DIVX there is just the conversion overhead on the pc.

Hi the one I have is a cheap signalex one off ebay for around ?3. Its very quiet but the airflow is not the best but I think it does enough to keep the temperature down a bit.
The usb ports are powered whenever the box has power so the usb fan will still run when the dreambox is on standby. I've just put one of the usb extender cables into the back on the Dreambox so I can gain access to a usb port to easily unplug the fan. I just plug it in when watching tv on the and unplug it when its in standby.

Are you doing anything else with your internet connection while watching tv?
Sorry but it sounds to me like the line you've been given is coming from an overloaded server. Can you get another line from someone else to test?
Do you have enough free space to install the cam ? This can happen when you dont have enough space left in /var. When you run then installer it will not install if you dont have enough space but still delete the install file from /tmp. Check your free space, remove some plugins and try re-running the installer again.
Also remember when you get it working to add your box id to cccam.cfg
Think the first line relates to remove the boot loader clone bomb so to me it sounds like it should be safe for clones. If unsure you could run the gemini clone bomb checker. Just Google for it, its on plently of download sites.
