Any reason you are using this really old, really crap, factory image ?? It is obviously completely useless, why not use something new ??
What do you think I am doing now? I am trying to change it without success so I dont have much choice....

This is the device I have which is similar to the one in the video. The display in the red brackets never shows anything. The image is called Experimental factory image of 2013. I initialized hard drive, formatted flash with F32 and used 1GB flash only but still nothing happens. Any idea?

Yes I have internal hard drive. not sure what pict you mean, for the image? It is called experimental image of 2013 I will try to put its pic. The image doen't look like the one in the video.

No it is NOT usually so. I deal with many forums and don't find what you are missing anywhere so I assume it is unneeded formality. Yes I did. I believe I followed all instructions. I will get another flash.

I placed an image file in a USB flash, put it in USB hole on the STB, restarted the receiver through the power button but nothing happened. the receiver didnt read the USB. I tried Openvix and PLI so far, changed the USB flash and USB hole on the receiver but nothing worked. The receiver is still not detecting the flash. Is there another method? Like through a cable?

However, when asking for support, always state which image and version you are using. Some have numbers others have dates. Always provide as much information as possible. it helps get you the help you need.

My Duo2 has its original image which is "experimental" It doesnt allow to do plug in install through a USB nor from an external source for plug ins and doesnt allow backing up the software. what is a better image which has more functionality and HOW to install it?

I tried again with DCC. This time I got the message: Packages for enigma2 plug in extensions epgimport found but incompatible with the architectures configured. And, cant find package enigma2 plugin extensions epgimport.
In my image the plug in installer gives me a limited list of plug ins to install and no choice where to look. epg importer is not one of them
Also in my image there is no VIX choice in setup and no software management option.
That is why I asked if I can change this image.....
