try to format fat 32 u usb or change to another usb
if u have internal hard drive make the initialization before to put new image
This is the device I have which is similar to the one in the video. The display in the red brackets never shows anything. The image is called Experimental factory image of 2013. I initialized hard drive, formatted flash with F32 and used 1GB flash only but still nothing happens. Any idea?
Any reason you are using this really old, really crap, factory image ?? It is obviously completely useless, why not use something new ??

I got a 1GB flash, formatted with FAT32, put the vuplus folder unzipped in it. turned off the receiver from the back switch, put the flash in front hole turned power back on, but nothing happened. The receiver didnt recognize the flash. I already initialized the HD as you said. But I havent removed it completely. I used 3 different flashes, and 3 different images not backup one but still no use......cc76bdb8.jpg
If you have used the same usb slot with each attempt?
You might try a different usb slot the next time?

Actually this is going to be hard due to time zones difference between us. Can you just tell me the steps needed?

This seems to be a good idea but I need some details. I know the plug in installed through putty by putting it in temp folder etc...but what is the command for that?
Have you actually started the plugin after restarting? (Standard practice on most plugins)
If you look at the screen, it is pretty self explanatory.
Blue= Restore backup (ignore the "backup" bit, you will be flashing a new image)
Navigate to where you have the image file
Select/highlight image
Yellow to unzip. It will be extracted in the current folder
Highlight the folder then Green to "run flash"
