Here is the place to share your SoftCam keys and configuration files for satellites viewable West of Europe.
Many times keys included with OSCam will work on our receivers for satellites we can receive but are initially assigned for those we cannot.
It is encouraged to let others know the little tricks you used to make keys work. Please adhere to forum rules but be as helpful as you can.
If you find a quick link covered on this site which covers questions members surely are going to ask, please provide it.
Please include your receiver platform (ARM, MIPS, etc) when you do so.
And have fun !

remove the following:
.emu files (softcam start scrpts) from /etc folder
oscam bin files from /usr/bin
configs from /usr/keys
Then try the above attached oscam emu again (its a new version).
Done. Rebooted after ipk install.
Softcam panel showing OSCam.EMU 11439-r777
Not starting. no CAM 1 active.
No worries. It must be getting late over there.
But thanks! Not to be a pain.
Edit:
Oops. Didn't check permissions. Reverted to prev. ver. for the eveining.
Will let you know. Evening! -
Try this one m8.
Thank you sir. Unfortunately not working.
opkg list-installed did not show version that was running.
Renamed working oscam > oscam.bak. Same for oscam.emu file.
Installed attached ipk, rebooted.
In Oscam panel I see OSCam 11400
FIrst found keys in newly populated /usr/keys. Dropped my SoftCam.key file in.
No cw's in the panel.
Next dropped entire contents from backed up config directory (tuxbox/config) to usr/keys.
Still no cw's.
I see no readers in the webif. Am seeing upper-card Reader though.
Also even though I renamed Oscam.emu startup script I'm seeing 2 readers, oscam and OSCam 11400 running in the panel.

Which firmware/image is being used (openatv, Openvix) ?
Oh it's OpenATV 6.2.
During the AFN hash 21 a bit ago I reflashed it. Installed the ipk, slapped in my keys and a few others a guy shared here and it worked like a charm.
I like to keep oscam updated. Not so sure if waiting for a 11439 ipk wouldn't be a wise idea.
Or if the coders here realize that receiver's like mine like ipk's.
That, and the fact that members have to learn that keys directory and config directories can change when dropping a bin file in as replacement.
I found that out fast.
....if it works, i like to break it. so i can learn how to fix it. -
None work.
What exactly do you mean by this ?
Is it keys not working or the actual softcam, oscam emu itself ?
Did you go to the oscam emu web interface to see if its running ?
Oh. I'm sorry. I extracted the bin. Placed a few different ones for ARM receivers in the correct place. Won't launch on the panel.
Of course I did not find an ipk which I'm accustomed to and there aren't any.
Also verified the start/stop script. It's good.
BTW, using the current 11438 I'm getting afn and the other pv channels I''m used to, no issues.
......you're just like me. need more info!! -
Can anyone direct me to the one that will work?
And where will the configs be after I do get it running? Both questions depend on which image is used.
Ahh. Currently using oscam 11438 with a bin file size of 1,984,400Kb.
oscam-1.20_svn-r11438.
Files in /etc/tuxbox/config.
Ideas? -
Adding to this. I tried several versions of 11439 arm on my Zgemma H7. None work.
Can anyone direct me to the one that will work?
And where will the configs be after I do get it running?
Currently in /etc/tuxbox/config. -
Cant anyone give me an idea?
Anyone? Come on now. -
Can you try this? Grab the posted config files an place them in the respective directory.
AFN’s switch to HD -
Since I started this. A forum for this topic I think would be a real help.
I've only been into this hobby for 3 or so months and from the help of a few members here have gained a lot of knowledge.
But my history goes back to big dishes with hand cranks and 24 analog channels per sat. And recently 'donations' and 'subs' on ku.
Enough of that.
A setup thread would be nice. There are a few sites on the 'net that cover these things. Keeping it all in one place would be nice.
Because folks may tend to get a bit overboard through frustration, a moderator is needed. Someone to assist in cooling off hot heads.
We need to share knowledge to learn from each other. No question is stupid. No answer should have knives attached.
Definitely an emulator thread. I don't know if the European members here know it. What works over there also works over here. To an extent.
I've read the Oscam wiki. Not much is really granulated with examples for the average Joe getting into this to make understanding the workings of it easy at all.
I've seen here several times (and recently) a configuration posted that a kind member gives to to others. Plug it in, it works.
I need to tear the configs down to figure them out. I'd like to know how to do these things myself to troubleshoot and share with others.
FTA here is limited. At least for C-Band, which I have setup. Ku Band on the same dish is next.
I have no idea what or how many different receivers guys on our side of the creek use. A receiver section is needed with the different flavors of Enigma2 and plugins that work, steup, configs....etc.And a book keeper. I see too many forums with obsolete posts for things past that have gone their way. And duplicate subjects because there aren't stickies detailing what everyone keeps asking over and over.
I'm hoping others viewing this could pipe in as to what we would like, and if anything I suggested isn't really needed. -
Mine are first 4 sat, last 4 SID. Are you getting cw's in softcam panel?
yes, cw are showing. all afn-channels are affected. im confused, all other powervu-channels are working.
Configs in etc/tuxbox/config?
I restored a fresh install backup w/o oscam. Installed 11438 that worked before and planted my softcam keys only in the default usr/keys directory.
Checked that my previous channels not afn decoded.
Followed #476,#478. AFN decoded in 3 minutes.
I don't understand most of the configs, but they worked for me.
It's a secret someone could explain. -
A big thanks to all involved for providing updated oscams!
Edit: all AFN channels on 9°E work now. The configs posted by @medousa (post #454) did the trick! (my previous config had an issue with AFN Prime Atlantic - only audio, no video)
I'm using oscam-svn11438-mipsoe20-webif-oscam-emu-patched.tar.gz from here: New OSCam svn11.438 Emu -r777 on my VU+ Duo.
Hello,
im using the same configs and oscam. Issue: onliy Audio, no Video. Running on VuDuo2. :(

Keys formatted like P <Group> <SID>? Ex: P 0058005B ?
Mine are first 4 sat, last 4 SID. Are you getting cw's in softcam panel? -
Success. Fresh install openatv 6.2. Followed Jenseneverest's suggestions in post #476.
Restored my softcam.key file. AFN on western sats OK. No other pv channels.
Deleted emu as suggested. Oscam would not make a new one. Tried rebooting many times. No joy.
Post #460 settings already there. Followed directions. No good. Finally got post #454 configs. That did the trick.
Western sats decoding again.
Thank you for all of your attentive and detailed help medousa. -
How to get this version of oscam installed on fresh flash of openatv 6.2?
-
Good god what a fiasco. Anyone find an ipk for a version that works on openatv 6.2 arm for my Zgemma?
Simply have to restore my backup at this point w/o oscam and start all over again. Bummer.
Anyone care to enlighten me how to get this working? All was good with 11438 until hash mode 21 took effect. -
for me working everything but the Discovery channels on 0.8 w freezing why ?
with the ncam same config no freezing ....
some solutions ?
:/
check this steps if you have the same configuration, if the following are not met yes there may be freezing
From Emu version r775 and on, in order PowerVu to work properly, you need to tell OSCam to skip the checksum test for CWs.
This can be done by one of the following ways:
A. Edit every Emu reader separately with one of these ways:
- Delete you current Emu reader and let OSCam-Emu create a new one for you, with all necessary settings.
- Add the
0E00:000000
string in the Skip CWs checksum test only for option under the general reader settings. - Add the
disablecrccws_only_for = 0E00:000000
directive in the oscam.server file under the Emu reader section.
IMPORTANT: You have to do this change for every Emu reader you have configured for PowerVu.
B. Edit the global OSCam configuration with one of these ways:
- Add the
0E00:000000
string in the Skip CWs checksum test only for option under the global config settings. - Add the
disablecrccws_only_for = 0E00:000000
directive in the oscam.conf file under the global section.
Hi. Followed these instructions. I am getting AFN but no other pv channels I used to get.
"Delete you current Emu reader and let OSCam-Emu create a new one for you, with all necessary settings."
It did not. How can I fix this?
I 'opkg remove the previous version' again and installed enigma2-softcams-oscam-all-images_11.438-r777-arm+mips_all.
It was the only version which had an ipk for my box. Put my softcam.keys in the different tuxbox/config directory.
Please help. Everything was running so smooth. -
if you want, there is Greek section here AFN Channel
You need oscam-emu 11438 r777
Not an ipk which I need.
Simmer down, enjoy life. Let's work to get this fixed.
I'm with you buddy. -
why in Greek and Greeklish?
here is English section
Please make it for me. I have time to assist. Which version or versions of oscam should I try for you?

do you insert this disablecrccws_only_for = 0E00:000000 on reader of emulator?
Sir. I did. It was already there. AFN decoded but no other pv channels.
