    For now I can say things are resolved.
    Since finding version 11438 for openatv for my H7 on another site in an ipk, I've actually had my first non-afn channels come in.
    Kudos to jenseneverest for his help and patience. He walked me through several known solutions but in the end it was all in the version.

    The H7 is a popular receiver. I have pondered becoming VIP.
    For now though seeing all of the unanswered questions lingering out there. My thoughts are to wait.
    I know this is a mainly UK site. I'm in the US and forums for ku band satellite reception on other sites have been a great help.
    Questions do get answered or members send PM's for suggestions.
    And from what I have learned has made it a joy to help others out in a way that they understand clearly.
    Here, some answers to solutions are sometimes quite vague or stagnant. Not a good 'seed' to steer a person to VIP.

    Oscam-powervu interests me. Finding out how it works and troubleshooting it is iffy for now. This post has been alive since when?
    The wiki for oscam is quite dated. The workings of it are largely undocumented. And the person here who possibly knows the most did not answer a conversation at all or steer me in the right direction with a web link.

    So. Why would I wish to become VIP? Please convince me.

    hi. i tried all of these configs but doesnt work for both Afn and Discovery channels. or i have only Afn or only Discovery ch. can somebody help me? thanks

    for those who have problems with power vu channels on asisat sony & afn audio video autroll keys 100% ok image pli with all setting with correct path i the attached just replace your cam and setting with attached file and enjoy hit like button thanks

    Thank you. Unfortunately adding the files to my same version on openatv 6.2 broke AFN.
    I get this error and created the missing directory and dropped your Oscam-emu files in it AFN and other pvu channels still work with the error):

    2018/11/04 09:55:35 611127A2 p (constcw) ERROR: Can't open /etc/tuxbox/config/SoftCam.Key (errno=2 No such file or directory)

    I'm getting AFN on 99W with keys from 9.0E. I had to delete the new directory and files added by OSEmu while using your files from my /usr/keys directory time stamped after. Rebooted and AFN works again. I waited 20 minutes for AFN to decode. Usually takes only a few seconds.

    In the webif for this version suddenly I cant save changes to at least the softcam.key file.
    If I make a change and click save the web page goes blank.
    I refresh the page to get back to the file and changes did not commit.
    Tried changing permissions from 755 to 777 for softcam.key. Still no good.
    Any ideas?

    Hopefully in the right section.
    I'd like to use an alternative to Openwebif/VLC to watch sat channels on a pc running a Windows or Linux os version of MediaPortal or Kodi and have control of the receiver much as the subject line.
    I'm running Openatv 6.2 on a Zgemma H7.
    I have a HDHomerun which I can use on different pc's and a Fire TV in Kodi. I've gotten the cable channels mapped with an epg working too.

    Not sure if anyone can steer me in the right place to use the Zgemma as a streamer but it seems like a good way to use both DVB tuners.
    In the brief readings on xmltv, I have a PC running EPG Buddy and it gives me a TVGuide.xml file which populates a Kodi epg with the MediaPortal plugin.
    It would be cool if i could do that with the Zgemma.

    Anyone?

    Yea he is asking for use with a linux based system. The easiest solution is what I described above. Epg buddy is windows based. It could be made to work with linux but would be a manual solution.

    I'm very new to Enigma2 systems. So I'm on a major learning mission.
    I wasn't sure if you could create the xmltv and related files on a Windows system and have the receiver use them.
    I know that since the HDHomerun box hooked to my cable system provided no channel data or schedule I had buddy pull from TV Guide.
    It required setting up a few email accts. with TV Guide to get the local channels broadcast by my cable company in the clear mapped to the Kodi equipped pc's I have.
    Once I got it all tweaked to perfection Kodi works like a charm.

    That's been what I've been trying to see if I could get working on my Zgemma H7.
    Baby steps!

    Not sure if it at all helps but Mediaportal has a cool epg tool EPG Buddy.
    I'm using it in Kodi with an HDHomerun. Surely it takes come configuration time.
    Adaptable to sat receivers?

    Hi. I'm running OscamPowervu11434 on a Zgemma H7. It's having a hard time auto starting. I've looked for the alternative softcam manager mentioned here. Can't seem to find it.
    Wondering if this version would be better.
    I downloaded the rar but it has no ipk extension and will not unzip.
    Running Openatv 6.2 on the receiver.

    Also finding pv keys for sats west of 78W are very hard to find although I have managed to get afn working through tips posted here.
    Anybody?

    Nothing is really noted about the AC. I think it may be for american continent or something having to do with the ATSC tuner.
    Update: I installed your oscam ipk (read earlier in this post please). Since then I've found OscamPowervu11434.
    No details how to delete so I used your 7zip method to extract the original ipk and find the file structure and deleted them on the box with ftp.
    Placed the 11434 on my internal hdd and installed it. No immediate crash from having to delete the afn traces you indicated.
    It at first looked like it wasn't autostarting but looks like it just takes around 20-30 seconds before it does.

    Leaps? I don't know. Right now I see no file structure errors in the web interface. I haven't done anything at all to files.
    I'm setting on 88.2W right now and have afn sports up. The epg is populating.
    I have audio but no video. In softcam panel I'm seeing a lot of info (haven't had that until now at all). CW1 periodically changes.
    I have updated my sat xml. I actually added a few more to it. I think I ran across that before.
    It looks like this version may work a little better. At least my frustration level is lower. I have the day off.

    Another thing too. I notice the keys file is formatted a little different now in this version. You'll see it if I'm smart enough to get a pm to you.

    Thanks SO much!!bba32678321.png

    A few thoughts. Is this version of oscam actually compatible with the zgemma h7.ac? Mention of "unstable" makes me wonder a few things.
    It's for an arm platform. Is it compatible with openatv 6.2?
    I see directory errors. In my log locations in the config files, looking in those locations I'm seeing many 0 byte files.
    In the oscam web interface files>oscam config it appears that there is supposed to be a dev/tty directory.
    I see none and cannot create one. just many empty 0 byte tty files that increment from tty...tty0...tty1...etc.
    To make it easier to locate I edited my oscam.config to place logs in the hdd. Those are empty.
    I see a pv key for the channel in my live log (which I cannot seem to save) which is recent.
    Different places I read on the net say to take the VPID and rearrange characters in a few different ways.
    What's correct?
    Also I've parsed my softcam.key file for every satellite which I will never get on this side of the pond.
    Found and inserted the most recent keys posted.
    Where to go from here? Need more info?

    I'm concerned of any errors that pop up. Certainly a smooth running, error free (except for invalid keys message) oscam is going to help me understand the running of the application. I don't understand all of the readers quite yet nor what module actually handles pv.
    Hopefully when you get free you could assist. I'd like to correct rather than ignore the errors.

    Of course after looking at the unzipped ipk I can see that the directory structure in them is different than the installed ipk.

    OK. Reflashed. All setup.
    Your version of oscam posted here installed and afn traces removed. Did that through package installer from the file stored on the internal hdd.
    I mentioned that I was initially getting errors.
    I haven't touched anything in oscam at all except for parsing the reader lines for afn.
    Getting this in my logs:

    FTP in to /etc/tuxbox and sure enough there is no /config sub directory.
    To avoid confusion I'll let you guide me through the fix. I think Enigma and you told me what you thought files were supposed to be.
    I believe on the previous flash I simply created it and dropped files in it.
    This is in the softcam.server file:

    [reader]

    label = SoftCam.Key

    protocol = constcw

    device = /etc/tuxbox/config/SoftCam.Key

    cacheex = 0

    cacheex_maxhop = 0

    cacheex_allow_request = 0

    group = 1

    dropbadcws = 0

    disablecrccws = 0

    I will try that soon.
    Since I found that openpli had oscam already built in and openatv didn't (you helped with that).
    I didn't think of backing up openatv 6.1 that came installed on my receiver.
    Remote key mapping made no sense with pli. Very clunky to say the least.
    I couldn't find the factory image so installed openatv 6.2.
    That all happened in the first 2 days. And it seemed that afterwards my scans were filled with many, many channels that showed only channel numbers, tp and polarization,and SID.
    I'm not at all completely above reflashing the box and starting all over clean.

    P 02C6 00 4ADF36B787C882F

    P 02C6 01 731D83B91211BC

    Which may be for 105W tp 16432V, sr 11500, fec 2/3 and has the exact same VPID.

    Oscam will still do what it's designed to do?

    I'm back.
    Jensen, I've found a source for keys.
    Something keeps perplexing me. The proper format for the highlighted sections.

    P 0000 00 56DBB98DBA634D ; ECM Key0
    P 0000 01 2B3ECB0234CB71 ; ECM Key1.

    Not entirely a bad one since I'm seeing different ways and explanations of how it's supposed to be.

    I'm seeing the same VPID on different channels on different sats.
    I deleted every single satellite pv codes for ones I'm not able to aim at.

    So if I'm not using stream relay, I'm assuming if I find a correct key and paste it in the softcam.key file and go to that channel. It should come in.
    As you said Jensen, the P 0000 set should be formatted for the VPID in Menu>Information>Service>Green Button PID's.
    And I see Video PID: 0x02c6 (710d).
    I plugged in P 02c6. No decoding of that channel.

    Other examples are showing formatting for group and VPID.
    Makes sense because another channel on another sat could have the same 0x02c6 VPID.

    Right?

    Then after the key (; ECM Key0) I'm pretty sure that's wrong.
    Some reading says put the channel name. Other say put channel name, tp number, polarity, symbol rate, and fec.

    The big question. IF i'm lucky to find a working pv key...Just One!
    Disallowing the different ways everything around the key in:

    P 02C6 01 3530605CF4F44D ;Playboy TV, 127.1W, 3820H
    could be formatted....what is the absolute correct method a guy would set it up?
    Could I get an example please? Maybe a little clear step-by-step?

    well for now i'm really not sure what to do.
    until i can get a recent key for a channel from simon bolivar west to 127w to test and is known to work.
    i'm a bit dead in the water, so to speak.
    i see hints to programs to find keys from ts files.
    i have a few robust gpu pc's. just not sure if that method is valid and still works.

    of course i don't have a dvb card in the pc, just the zemma.
    i guess until i can get just one test key, au key, that really works. i'll never actually get my box to decode pv.

    not really ready to give up.
